I had thought, the Carrick-crash had resulted from irritation through the Stevie Nicks pics. You're right there, Hauksbee - this picture shows it wonderfully: dogs have each their perfectly own character.
  2. Not sure - but he seems to have several WW1 planes. Edit: I seem to have got it mixed up: the upper video must be someone else.

Here is my momentary desktop - James Dietz's "The Circus rolls at Dawn"; a real classic.

Widowmaker, what I meant was, that the picture I get is really square - same with as height? Here is the link to the most viewed gallery pics over at The Aerodrome. You may also like the Triplane pic; it has the same format, so you can have a second desktop. http://www.theaerodr...s&orderby=views

    Your screen is square???
  6. If you are into WW1 air combat, and you don't have "Over Flanders Fields" yet, you should definitely get it. You won't find more detail for your Campaigns anywhere else! There is a screenshot in the official website's gallery, showing a Union Jack on the upper wings (it's in the sixth group of pics; the 10. screenshot): http://www.overfland...lery/index.html Click on the picture and say: "Open in a new window" Then you can save it. Can we see the result of whatever you do with it?
  7. Yes, it is a very different feeling in the air, Scout. I didn't feel so lost or so depending on ingame aids. I felt very free. I will try Rabu's map too. It may be even more according to the ingame situation. Then again, Lou's map looks more realistic. I'll try both the next weeks.
  8. Found these at The Aerodrome - enjoy! http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/people/20653-photos-carl-holler-now-id.html
  9. Did I ever tell you that I am slow? I mean, I really get into things I like - but I am incredibly slow. I knew that the aces of each squadron are there with a little report about them. But only since you led me there, I have now realised, that their victories are always only shown as far as the current date - a "developing victories slate" so to say! You guys are marvellous, Shredder! This will be a great help for my future combat reports!

Did we lure a member of the team to let out some top secret hint?
  11. You mean I can look up the single victories of all aces in OFF ??? How much more is there to discover???
  12. "Master & Commander" is a good choice indeed - and "Gladiator". Of course: "Avatar".
  13. You may need to sit further away from the screen? I watched "Avatar" on a friends big screen Full HD TV monitor, and at a distance of ca. 2 Meter it was brilliant.
  14. Have we figured this out?

Daisy-level flying is the safest way to escape, when having a gun jam or being out of ammo. But don't look behind too much - you might ram into a molehill ! (AI seems to need to sort out, where the ground actually is - like a bat with it's sonar - as they are blind. That's why they can't fly low and straight.)

That's the problem with my brain - it's either overloaded, or it's rotting away.

Ah, didn't know that, Rickitycrate. And that sounds reasonable, and rather easy to do, compared to building whole new planes.
  17. Thanks for sharing, Smithy - I intend to travel to some Great War areas myself one day. My family didn't loose a member; my grandfather (father's side) got both arms shot through by machine gun fire, but he survived and I so I still met him.

The Pfalz Eindecker I read in K. F. Kurt Jentsch's book wasn't as good as the Fokker Eindecker - so maybe they will do more attractive planes first? But you never know with devels...
  19. A different Albatros

I have learnt about this myself here at this forum (or to be precise: back in the days of the previous forum); and so I wanted to pass it on to you, Carrick.
  20. Does anyone know more about the Sablatnig aircraft? He seems to have built for the navy, and the craft I saw look quite "speedy" and sleek: Would like to know a bit more.
  21. Wow, you found quite a lot, Hauksbee! I read, Sablatnig himself was the first to make a night flight. His company must have been rather small.
  22. Thanks, uncleal. He must have built some planes for Germany - but maybe not for the Marine then.

From the album My Pilot Photos

  24. Thanks for the link, but I can't get there - it doesn't work for me.
