Yes, it can be straining!
-
SirMike, to cure your curiosity: the waypoints in "scrambles" are just the triangles we fly for "circling" the field. So they really are unnecessary and don't guide you to any advantage - you won't miss anything.
-
themightysrc, when you just take a basic world map with the Central Powers in orange, and the Entente and their Allies in green, then you will have only one question left: how could they hold it for such a long time?
-
I can only ditto WM. Have fun, Spit!
-
Good job, Widowmaker! I didn't know that the French also had some Tripes.

I think it is, because we people of the occident are overall much better informed; because we don't take such stupid things like burning flags or bibles as serious insults, but regard them as what they are: helpless stupid acts; and because we have a generally better democratic, and a little wealthier system to live in. I understand you both better than you may think, Bullet and Ras. But when religion leaders go political, it's politics - not religion. And when a priest or a mullah ask people to burn the religious books or items, or the flags of other people, then that is pure hatred. And both religions - the Christian as well as the Islam - say you shall not act out of hate. But - perhaps - as we shouldn't talk about either politcs, nor religion here, maybe we better stop here.

OT Douglas Bader interview

Not available in my area. -
Islam itself is not an aggressive religion, but there are always people, who misuse religion for their purposes. Everywhere. The priest, who wanted to burn a Koran, is a good example.

If I understand you right, you have got MORE claims listed, than you really made, nbryant?
-
No way, nbryant - what you didn't claim, should not show in the claims file. Did you perhaps write the wrong, higher numbers into the first field? Or did you have multiple claims?

Try the Halberstadt with Jasta 1, in August 1916, Chris - nice time and weather, nice Jasta with aces to help you, and the Halberstadt is an easy to fly and reliable fighter with a good dive ability. I begin to love it!

May have been posted before, but better twice than never. It seems, that you can enlist quite a lot of pilots without problems for the OFF Manager. I for example have 21 pilots enlisted right now. But when I deleted pilots, I sometimes got problems and had to reset OFF Manager or CFS3 config. The problems did not always appear at once, but after the next new start (so I think). Now I used a different method several times, and didn't get those problems again: I deleted a pilot, and right after that (without leaving the sim), I enlisted a new one. That new pilot got the same number and space, as the just deleted one. This way, the manager seems to be able to handle the whole list of pilots better.

Yes, we don't need to be "Full DiD" puristic about that, as long as we don't fly "Krauts vs Crumpets". I find it always interesting to know whom I'm up against. It's easier for an Entente pilot to identify Jasta after their colours, but as a German pilot, I would miss a lot. So, what the heck - I use them every now and then! -
A Tip how to avoid to mess up OFF Manager
Olham replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Yes, it helps. The pilots thing is a bit complicated. When your pilot's log number is Pilot No. 6, then his 3 files are called "Pilot7 Dossier", "Pilot7 Log" and "Pilot7 Claims. Always one number higher - Pilot No.1 may be a "layout" sort of pilot somewhere in the files - you won't see him. Now, if you erase one, and don't create a new one, the numbers cannot all suddenly change, I assume. And so it may lead to problems for the Manager. -
I'm sure they want to get better versions of the two AI, which make more sense. And if it should make it more costly: don't worry, guys, I'll pay for it too.

It always strikes me, when I find something like this. I hope, they will find people and money to re-buil the wings for this original aircraft. Please click on the pictures at the bottom to see full size. http://www.muzeumlot...z.php?ido=9&w=a

PS: a picture for an appetizer - it is beautiful, but may not be easy to build for OFF.
-
Yes, the physically faint, but in the air so strong pilot - he gave it all. May he rest in peace.

They will, Hasse Wind, they will. French two-seaters like Caudron and Breguet are really missing so far. Always remember: they are enthusiasts - they want those craft in there too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caudron_G.4
-
HW: I wonder if the devs will find a way to make the early air war MUCH less brutal than it is currently. Now there really isn't much difference between 1915 and 1918 - the action is just as fierce in both years Hasse Wind, remeber that there is a choice in workshop between the old and new AI, and a mix, called "Historical". That mix should give you much more passive flying enemies in the early years, a mix in 1917, and the aggressive AI in late 1917 - 1918. If you never tried it - please do; it's noticable.

About the confirmation of several victories at once: Yes, it happened. In my book about Ritter von Schleich, I found a confirmation of 9 victories at once. They were his 16. - 24. victory; made 19. - 24. September 1917; confirmed on 11. October 1917. Since he made so many victories in such a short time, it ain't no wonder they came all together.

This was NOT funny!!! What can you do, when you are still climbing to patrol over Varsenaere near the north sea coast, and then you spot three clouds of SPAD VII, to the left, to the right, and in front of you?!?!? About 16 - 18 British SPAD - lots of aces among them - came down on us like armageddon! My engine was shot up and stopped, before I could even hit anyone. Trying to land the shot up craft, this Tommy still hasn't enough - he keeps firing at me! I just managed to crash-land my Albatros and survived. Man, this is only June 1917, but up here in northern Flanders, it is more hell than heaven! -

I ditto that. You could, as long as we don't have this, press "return" if you want them to stop fighting. But that will stop all of them from attacking enemy craft.
