  1. Squadron Scramble

    Probably Furnes airfield?
  2. Rabu: Sorry Olham.. the Germans get the generic Blond/blue eyed historical, aryan women (dumb blonds), the English get the mysterious, sexy, dominering, dark haired ones. What did you think that Great War was really about? Hey, what it was about indeed - forgot, that we are in France, mate?!? We have left the blonde ones home, waiting for us, while we check out our "neighbouresses". And, by the way: not all blondes are dumb (but it might be an advantage in "special situations").
  3. Squadron Scramble

A good reason to fly British side - to encounter the Red Baron. Must enlist one there again.
  4. Welcome Home Olham

Ah, I see - yes, that's how we Germans fight the war, isn't it? Is there any other way???
  5. Another type of headgear

It has 3 DOF; that should mean, you can yaw, rotate and roll your head. See the product sheet. http://www.vuzix.com/site/_photo/sheet/Vuzix_VR920_Sheet.pdf
  6. You surely deserve this welcoming good review, devs! And to receive 91% positive points from a simmer magazine is a very high benchmark, that OFF really deserves. This makes it a milestone in the area of flight sims.
  7. Another type of headgear

Here's a pic to demonstrate it's field of view.
  8. Try the new tracers, Sir, and you will find the chalenge increased a lot. No need to reduce ammo - you may need it all. Here is Creaghorn's stuff: http://combatace.com...dd-on-software/ Make sure you also get the improved trailersmoke. There will be a text advice with each file.
  9. Tactics?? Vott tactics??? I usually shoot der Crumpets down, before zee enemees make problems? Well, I want to get at it at last, although my fighting in the Albatros is hardly ever much adventurous. Almost all kills are made by resolute attack, good shooting and good wingmen action. I never had a fight like that famous Udet vs Guynemer sort of dogfight. But I will try to put something together.
  10. Civilians? Well, I wouldn't mind to find a beautiful farmer's daughter in her foam bubble bath, when I have made another emergency landing and walked into the house on search for a telephone or some wine. Oh, and Winder, as we talk about wine: could you make it a deep red Burgundy? And her hair: could it be black? I get crazy when I see girls with black hair! The immersion will be mind blowing...
  11. My Scottish Holiday

Judith, Simon, Matthew, Max and Baba - so many names for two dogs? Welcome back, old chap! Good you enjoyed it.
  12. Since I use Creaghorn's new tracers and tracer smoke effect, the killing got less for me, which is good, cause it's much more realistic now. Still though, 2 kills per mission is more than I should achieve in a real fight in a real plane. But the new effects do make it harder to know, when you hit, and thereby reduce kills. I recommend them to all, who want it more realistic.
  13. Welcome Home Olham

Thank you all! Now, what's 24/7 and 21/7 - another "Crumpet plan too vin ze war"?
  14. Here is a screenshot of the message. Strange thing is: here I can upload a Jpeg. But not in my Sticky Thread "OFF Pilots Map".
  15. Great stuff, Lou! You may be able to bring the views of a German pilot closer to the hearts of the Camel flyers. Good idea to make Paul meet the King of Württemberg. He looks a bit like Buster Keaton - but maybe many people of the time did.
  16. Welcome Home Olham

Thank you, Lou and von Paulus! Well, since I was in my homeland Ostfriesland for the godknowshowmaniest time, I didn't really make photos. My sister took this one at Weener harbour by the Ems river. The weather wasn't always the best, as you may see from the lighting, but it's the only picture I have.
  17. Jason's opinion as quoted by Parky is great! If only the sim makers would also follow it, instead of spying out their competitors or copying their work. In the end, the sim with the best look, most realistic campaign and the deepest immersion will get my money.
  18. Oskar Seldmaier

Some good achievements there, Waldemar! Not easy to make on the E.III, surely. And one day, when the "young pilot's temper" has cooled down a bit, you may consider RAF_Louvert's hint, to care for yourself a little more - you will be able to make it for a much longer time then. Good paint sheme!
  19. Most of you will know this, but maybe it is new for some of you. When you have found a profile, that suits you, or you have even created an own one, make sure that you not only save it, but that you ticked the little box "Exclusive". Otherwise, TrackIR will choose a different profile each time you start it. I had that today, and was pretty confused, until I found, that I had unticked the box for some work on the profile.
  20. Well, the title says it all. I'll leave in an hour; and I'm back on August 25th. When I think of being without OFF and a web connection, I miss you already now! It will be a real reset for my nerves though. See you again soon!
  21. Not a language to learn - it's too difficult, and not of such worldwide use as English, Spanish or French. Thank you for the bacon!
  22. Danke, Creaghorn! Bis bald!
  23. Plane Crash

Carrick: The pilot walked away but I don't know how? Legs?
  24. S.E.5A.....

Hey, I like that banner, iti ! But an S.E.5a in FSX? I can't fly in the modern world - I'm not a multiple personality! Mmuahahahahahaaa!!!
