  1. OFF Forum Pilots Maps

Uncle_Bob - Norway MMMM - Ontario The maps are in post 1 of this thread
  2. Does WOFF ever go on sale?

The unpredictable, human-like behaviour of the new AI alone is a work of digital art. Combined with engine and gun failures, growing fatigue and exhaustion, injuries and individual human decisions, this new AI alone is worth every penny. You will not find this far advanced 'real life-like' quality anywhere else.
  3. Does WOFF ever go on sale?

Tch! The questions some newbies dare to ask...! (Mmuahahahahaaa!!!) Welcome to the WOFF Forum, Mr. Go!
  4. Again, there are a lot of new historical photographs added at the great "WingnutWings" website. If you need inspiration for your new Fokker Eindecker carreer - here you can find it. http://www.wingnutwings.com/ww/58761E2161849201D3644575AB04EA53
  5. "Lurker", eyh? Well, I am too seldom at their forum; the place doesn't have the same gentlemanly, Club-like atmosphere which we can enjoy here. But your avatar and signature there sure look good.

May the glinting and Enhancements be another thing, but the shadowing is definitely something that would - and should - be there. Looks much more realistic. I'm glad, that this will be in the sim at some point of development.
  7. I can only guess; I think it's Gaelic, which I think is Celtic inheritage.
  8. ...like this song? Brenda Wootton is the spelling...
  9. Hauksbee, just draw the "golden manekin" from the GoogleMaps scale into the roads there and have some long walks through Cornwall (by clicking on the road in front of you). There are still no highways - it isn't called "Land's End" for nothing. (Soundtrack: John Surman "Road to St. Ives")

You wonder how the gunner should do his job in case of an attack? His moving-space is extremely limited.
  11. WOFF: Screenshots and Videos

Hmmm... - a problem of one of the mods seems to be, that it creates shadows within the Lozenge camo, where no shadows = no imprints should be? I must say I like the original WOFF clouds, as they are.

Ah, I understand, Corsaire. I also have a real flight/pilot's book. My second victory and claim with Jasta 5 in August 1917. See also the "Reports..." thread.
  13. Guess the Height Contest

Maybe you guys should use BOTH hands for counting? Mmuahahahahaaa!!!
  14. Guess the Height Contest

Reminds me of the idea to use a Full-HD TV - did you ever think of doing that? With my Toshiba Regza 37" TV it is marvellous vision - each time I move it over here, I am amazed, how well I regocnise even distant aircraft.
  15. No, the people there know the sea and wouldn't build like that. Sennen Cove is built behind a natural barrier of rocky riffs - otherwise there'd be no beach - it would all get washed away.
  16. Guess the Height Contest

No problem - we could start a new "Screenshot Quiz" thread. Or you could try "Edit" and then click "Use full editor" - maybe there it's possible?
  17. Guess the Height Contest

Well, if it can be cleaned, that's good. I had ordered a new monitor after Xmas and flying the first mission on it, I saw 4 enemy planes approaching - until I realised, there were 4 pixels "broken"; the background LED lighting was too dark. Of course I sent it back.
  18. Yep, Sennen Cove - I have been bathing at their sandy beach in 1973 (oh, the memories!...) Cornwall is very beautiful! But you could say that for the most parts of England.
  19. Guess the Height Contest

Raaahhh!!! A paratrooper with a Dragunov! I only know these guns from the game STALKER (where they were very effective long-range sniper guns). Fortunately I can say: no, there were no other (visible) planes around, and Corsaire, BurningBeard and Snail got it right: 7 Albatros were with me. Adger, I guess, you counted my craft too?
  20. WOFF: Screenshots and Videos

They had the Morane Parasol then, didn't they? And that worked alright for you? Great job! So you also have a Jasta 5 pilot, only earlier - mine flies in August 1917. Getting really tough for him - he meets S.E.5 aces, and Bristol Fighters...
  21. WOFF: Screenshots and Videos

Yeah, I gave that up: to start from the beginning. I would never get to the Albatros D.V that way...
  22. WOFF: Screenshots and Videos

Jasta 5 had a nice afternoon out - until we got jumped by flying pigs!
  23. Beating one fear with another panic, eyh? Nurses...
  24. Guess the Height Contest

Widow, perhaps you should re-name this thread (if you can) "The WOFF Quiz" or something like that? Here is one from me. How many of my Jasta 5 companions are circling over Epinoy airfield here with me (my Alb not incl.) ?
  25. Hey, nice to hear from you, Tony! Sounds good to me so far - what does "a lot of bleach" mean in this context?
