  1. Ha, that was funny! I went through my pilots' logs, and saw the Order of the House of Hohenzollern attached to my Rittmeister, who had landed behind the lines and got captured. when I did the first screenshot, no medals would show at all. Now it didn't only show the 2 Iron Crosses I knew he had, but also the "Hohenzollern". If he got it rewarded in absence, after his last flight? Anyway - I exchanged the screens above - it's my first "Hohenzollern". Looks beautiful!
  2. Wow, Ryan, I haven't gotten those last two medals yet in BHaH! Looking good! Next time, when you have got that far - fly him with much more care. He won't need to gather many victories nor medals then anymore - he would need to stay alive.
  3. That wouldn't be right, I'm sure. That craft can perform almost anything, but going down like that should be impossible. Did you try with throttle full back and stick hard forward, rudder counter the spin? And also, full throttle, stick forward, rudder counter the spin? One of these two should work to get her out of the spin. Otherwise the FM should be looked atagain.
  4. The campaign is so awesome..

Hahaha! Bullet, many people would gladly let him empty the fridge only if they could see him again. When you see the ghosts, you are lingeringon the threshhold, cause you have once been about to cross it, cause you where shot at or stabbed or near an explosin; you should have been dead by now, but you escaped. Now you can look into both worlds. That's from some dark fantasy book, no literature really, but I liked it. I have one such book by Dean Koontz (probably his only one I like): "Odd Thomas" That guy can see the dead, and Elvis often lingers around or waits for him in his car. He is mostly very sad and often cries. A funny book.
  5. Ras, if you ain't got no stick button left, the easiest to find key on the keyboard is the space bar. Assign "pause" to that - you'll find it without really looking there.
  6. The campaign is so awesome..

That's true, Iti - and perhaps you have me there. (I also have a pilot in Jasta 2, September 1916.) You're never alone. All the fallen pilots keep flying their aircraft over the front. You just can't see them. When you see them one day - you have crossed that line...
  7. Hmm - desert in the SW would be New Mexico - not so good! But other POWs have been in Idaho or Minnesota, or maybe Ohio (can't remember), and some liked it so much they stayed there. That reminds me of a "CALVIN & HOBBES" strip (Does anyone know the boy with the tiger?) You see their heads from behind, they are lying in a meadow, and Calvin asks Hobbes: "Hobbes, when we die - where do you think we go?" The tiger replies: "Pittsburgh." Calvin: "You mean, when we where good, or when we where bad?"
  8. Not being a Rush fan, I must say, JamRom Productions made me follow their track with curiosity and fun. Well made, James Romero!
  9. They must have fooled you with a wrong craft, British_eh. A Fokker Dr.1 doesn't do fatal tail-first skins from 5.000 feet - more than enough space to get her nose down and get out of it. Or was it damaged?
  10. Question to our German Friends

Yep, let's not step into the trap of raising a kind of political debate about those wars. Otherwise the poor old ostrich really died for nothing.
  11. Wow - an impressive time and kill tally! So you would say too, that the DH-2 isn't really bad? When I fight them, they seem quite agile. I hope for your pilot, he won't get jinxed by this exposure - Rumpf- und Flügelbruch, Lou (anti-jinx)!
  12. Question to our German Friends

(To be honest: sometimes I really like some "junk food" like a Hot Dog or a Hamburger. )
  13. The campaign is so awesome..

Rossmeister: Yeah you guys, I AM warping, but isn't that sort of taboo around here? We wouldn't be such a good community, if we had such taboos. Everyone to his own likes, definitely! It is only tabbo, to insult people, or talk nasty about this sim or any other. I have different pilots. Most of them warp, use labels sometimes, use TAC. And then I have two, who fly the DiD Standards (see sticky thread above) - those I only fly, when I am patient, quiet, not angry, and awake (so I fly them VERY rarely - Lol!). It's very hard to get far without the crutches. All the others are for the more instant action/fun. And death.
  14. OT... AAARGH! :(

"Life can be tough!" said the observer in the back of a BE2c, totally frozen from flying through a hailstorm for the last one and a half hours, when he spotted a flight of 12 Albatros D III, one of them painted overall red... In other words - cheer up, m8 - life is so generous to us!
  15. How do your pilots die?

Baldric, now with the D III, you should be able to make emergency landings. She still fies pretty well, half shot up. Come in flat and fast, and don't cut throttle, until she touched ground. That should work.
  16. No, I think, he's rather saying, you should take a leave in April, before you experience, why it was later called "Bloody April". Ryan, there should be more action around Bertincourt with Jasta 2. Strange. Baldric, check in "Workshop", what your general altitude is set to; choose the highest, when you want to warp and still reach the recce craft.
  17. Question to our German Friends

Mr. Lucky: It was round and sliced but that's about the only resemblance to anything. Probably a Hun trick from WWI to demoralize us. Yeah, yeah!! When we Huns build something round to demoralise you, it won't be eatable - it would explode! In Germany we have a a kind of meat-mud, that is put into a form, until it is cutable - Leberkäse (directly translated: liver cheese). Now, maybe in some regions they know how to do it right, but I say: I am really happy, that we exchange recepies with the French today, instead of granades.
  18. Haha, Widow, I'm sure the British will treat an officer as a gentleman - and I wouldn't have to miss my beloved tea.. What they don't know - I've seen "The Great Escape"... Mmmuahahahahahahaaaaaa!!!!
  19. jayo, are you in the OFF Pilots Maps already? If not, please send me a PM with your town and country/state. Thanks!
  20. You seem to really bathe in immersion, Baldric! There are two possible ways. Either put "pause" on some easy to reach stick button. (That's the best solution for going to an outside view and swing around the scene, before you decide which angle is the most dramatic one). Or put "screenshot" on a stick button. (But that way you always only get a shot from your cockpit view).
  21. If it's a fake, it is pretty well made. And those stunt pilots of today seem to try to top each other in anything.
  22. Hats off to the Hun!

He couldn't do that with 2 Spandaus and 1.000 rounds on bord - I just tried it. And failed.
