stump will be gone till further notice
Olham replied to stumpjumper's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
CJ: Where are all of the guardian angels when you really need them. Maybe they were there - he could have fallen down the stairs, too. Your CPU should do the job - mine is running with 2,33 GHz and it works fine. -
Great pics again! And feels very close - I just fly in June 1917 with one pilot. Page 2, third picture: does anyone know, what that large diagonal tube is for? When they went for submarines - could it be a kind of torpedo launcher?

moral of the story ignore your wife when she says clean up the flying room Unless she was the "Staffelführer", of course. Stump, I wish you to find a nugget, or any similar way to get some useful parts together. Until then, you may have a look at real life again (hope you like it - Lol!) -
Is Photoshop very intuitive to learn? If you have used similar things already, I would say: partly yes. Of course, there are tricky things you wouldn't find out easily without the book. But the things you need for skinning and emblems, yes. And there are tutorials in the skinning section, I think.

Now we only have to wait a little, 'til someone comes up with the bigfoot.

Your last line explained well to myself, why I hate being in groups. In groups, it seems to me that there is an unspoken common agreement as to lower everyones IQ to the lowest one present. Also, a lot of chain reactions are triggered in groups brain cells, which often lead to results, you'd later be ashamed of. In other words: to be in large groups, you best get drunk before.

As far as I know you by now, I always thought, an artillery crater would suit you (Lol!)

I'm sure, the military intelligence was better than that. But this is the press, and they make up anything for a good story. I like the illustrations. In those days, maybe photography at the frontline would have been too difficult? And the illustrators where pretty good.

Ha! I knew it! No, I didn't know it - you knew it, Paarma! But I saw it wasn't MvR. You know your aces, Paarma!

Boy, I just had a furious dogfight with the brandnew first Camels with my Yellow Canary. See screenshots!

Yellow Canary eating Camels! Boy, this was one of my greatest fights ever! Short after takeoff, on our way to a balloon attack, we got jumped at by six brandnew fighters, very good at turns, and with twin machine guns. But they had not got enough lessons on the new craft, and within a sequence of little more than four minutes, I destroyed three of them in an incredible dogfight. It was, as if the next one slipped into my gunsight, when the previous one was going down. But the third collided with me short after I shot off a wing. While he crashed, I could fly on - the Albatros is just the more robust fighter. But then their leader, although also his craft was also hit and smoking, got behind me, when I tried to shoot a Camel off the tail of my wingman. And now I made the experience myself, how it feels to be hit by twin guns. It was terrible, ripping canvas, splintering wood, and then my bird even caught fire! I was lucky, there was a road right in front of me, to perform a crash landing. It was sheer luck, that I survived this! -

A dusk shot would be fine, but remember, the most important in a promotion set is the aircraft and their actions. Do you think, you could get there again, with a dogfight at dusk? It's tricky to get them right; needs the right bank angles with the upper surfaces towards the feeble light. Tracer lines would be fine of course! Please, try another! I have worked out half the text now. Have to get it comparative to other sims, but not in the same style, and I mustn't forget good details.

The boulevard press would sometimes do things like that with little care. They need to show a picture of Richthofen, but have none - so they use a guy looking a bit similar. In those days, with noe TV or Internet - who could have proved it to be wrong? I think, the Blue Max was first given for 16 or even less victories, but just when MvR had reached the mark, they pushed it up. He was a little disappointed about that, but as we all know, he made it so much further, he could have got 4 of them.

Jarhead Turns out it's a very nice way to see the countryside. Yep, but you're not the first one to do this. The artist, formerly known as Gimpyguy, used to tour the terrain in a Sopwith Pup. Jarhead I wonder how many other pilots have made that same near fatal error? Just some days ago, someone posted that here. An ace (was it Lufbery?) got attacked by another Alied pilot. He could try anything, but the guy wouldn't realise and kept firing at him. He had to shoot him down. In the heat of a battle with many craft involved, it must have happened many times.

Thank you, OvS - yes, the skin isn't finished yet, and I will position the upper wing new. Actually, I find the colour almost pop-art, and way "louder" than even MvR's paintings. But it's for fun, and I'll enjoy it with Jasta 10, where the yellow fits. Once we have a real individual skin, as Winder announced, it will be a single crazy bird and less disturbing. Ras, your demand should be the perfect skin for Widowmaker to do - he is into fishing! Perhaps, if you asked him gently...

AntiVirus reporting TR-DropperGen
Olham replied to HomeBoy's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I'd like - for OBD's sake - to bring up one point here again, that we had already discussed sometime back in the early days of BHaH: Everybody who loves BHaH as a great product with a lot of time and energy put into, could help, and use words like "bug" or "Virus in an OFF product" rather carefully, and first of all: Not in the headline Cause that way, too many people may stumble across these words in their searches, and although there was no "bug" in most cases, something negative may stick in their minds. I have been criticised to ask for censorship with this, back then - but what really I mean to ask you all for, is rather to be helpful in a positive way. Something really disturbing or bad could still be posted to OBD's support: support@overflandersfields.com I made the experience myself, that they usually care very quick. Thanks for reading. -
This has really the naive touch of the old days. But: is that really Lt. von Richthofen - doesn't look like him at all. And Lt. Baldamus became Baldamas - the press, often faster than they can think. Lol! And that drawing of the Fokker scout makes it large enough for three - great, this stuff!

Well, I always hate it, when a flight of 56 (or 65 ?) squadron escapes me with their fast S.E.5a, cause they hadn't seen us. With this colour sheme, they wont have no excuses anymore!

After the shock about the whole terrible truth of the Nazi regime, they forbid this symbol to be shown in Germany again. And as it may be difficult to be specific, they did a complete "Verbot". Maybe typical German again, but I think they didn't want to "leave a backdoor open" for neo-Nazis to comeup with it again. But really, it would be much better, to care more intensively for young people going that direction, at school already, and in a grown up way.

Plastic scale model Albatros V or Va
Olham replied to Dutch_P47M's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Should be a real challenge, to build them from scratch with a good 3view, wood and canvas - and a lot of time and research. -
You better beware, the "Yellow Chicken" doesn't shredder your kite, m8!

Next OFF Add On Plane unveiled!
Olham replied to Gremlin_WoH's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Unbelieveable! It looked so bizarre and totally impossible - as if REVELL had stuck two kits from different periods together. But seeing it's an English aircraft, and knowing their sense for the bizarre... -
personal paint scheme on all wingmen
Olham replied to Ryan H's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
That's what you say now - once we have it, someone will come up with the next thing to ask for. That's sheer Darwinism. -
For the non-Bavarians: a Wolpertinger is a beast mixed together from various animals. Like this one:
