Hitler Parody: Over Flanders Fields
Olham replied to Launchbury's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Tch - even over there? It's good you stopped them! The "Whisky Walk" should have been a great attraction for good old W.C. Fields, I'd think. -
Hi, Check Six I could change my colours in the "viewui.xml" here: C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields The colour od the waypoint line changes with your friends' colour; when I changed it from blue to cyan, the line (and their label names) where also cyan.

Hitler Parody: Over Flanders Fields
Olham replied to Launchbury's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Yup - if your children wouldn't join in there, you where regarded as an outsider, and as an "opposition" to Hitler's Reich. A priest in my native Ostfriesland had spoken against the actions of the brown hordes in church. After church, on the Thanksgiving parade, two young boys walked up to the priest and smashed his nose in the open street, with dozens of people around. Nobody dared to do anything. Let fear reign over you, and you're lost. -

Great!

So to clarify it: we could just install the patch over the sim as it is now?
-
This is for all you "grab-grabs", you lazy vultures, you "must-have-quick's": Has it ever occured to you, why you dont feel great, when you play with games or sims you have just stolen? If you worked for the dollars it costs, to give them to those who thought all this out and made all this beautiful stuff work, and put hundreds of hours into their "baby", then you would feel right with it, then you could belong into this world, then you could share it with a great community. When you are too lazy to do so, and just take it, because you easily can, you're nothing - and you will never have REAL joy with anything.

Must I mark specific targets for wingmen in dogfight?
Olham posted a topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Just yesterday, I have clicked "player flight density" (or how it's called) to "high". Now I have 6-7 wingmen per flight. That should be plenty, I thought, when we were engaged by 3 S.E.5a. So I pressed "A" attack. I had no specific enemy craft assigned and so expected my wingmen to attack the nearest S.E.5a. Myself, I jumped on one British craft and chased it down to the deck, firing rounds into it again and again. I pressed "H" help two or three times for my direct wingman. But I realised, that my flight seemed to circle rather without any orientaton on a target. And suddenly I got hit. I paused, and checked in outside view. There was no direct wingman #1 anywere near me. Nor did the other flight members do any chasing. From three British craft, two were in my neck firing at me. So my question: do I have to mark specific targets for them, or shouldn't they attack free, when I press "A"? When my flight density was lower, I could swear, they did. -

Okay, I get the idea - now I know, why they call me Papa Mahlo! -
Best career yet (luck involved)
Olham replied to Fliegenhund's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Fliegenhund, you may also try Jasta 28w, Wasquehal, May 1917. For that Jasta, you can even download one of my skins with a yellow/black tail. I was shot down too today, with Jasta 10. But I'll start another one tomorrow. I am desperately trying to bring up Creaghorn's patience with kills, and care more about my own safety - so far invain (Lol!) -
Creaghorn, try to make them a textfile (.txt) with simplest notepad; then attach the file to your post. Now everybody should be able to download that.

Must I mark specific targets for wingmen in dogfight?

So I better not rely on anyone? But in my smaller flights, wingman no.1 was ALWAYS perfectly reliable... -

They seemed to do much better, when I had only small flights with 2 - 4 wingmen. :yu: -
I have forgotten, where it was. Try to google "CFS3 fraps improvement". Someone from a gamer zone had a well written post about it.

Couldn't judge that, as I made my first attack on a German balloon only after patching. Winder, Pol - does Hardcore damage model make even balloons stronger?

How do i get the TAC to recognise that I have overflown a waypoint?
Olham replied to JimAttrill's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Jim, I have programmed "controls" that way, that I only need to press "W" to get the next waypoint. I hate key commands, that need two or even three keys - no use for that. Click "escape" once you're in the cockpit, on the left menue "controls" and search for it there. -
In an Albatros, you can "learn by doing" that way. A Nupe might have fallen like a burnt butterfly. But the German balloons are even harder to destroy. I flew a Tripe with TWO guns, and it took 4 or even 5 attacks (and I hit that damn Bratwurst each time!), to get the balloon down! All that even with a swarm of Albatros DV around us! I find it very hard to be an Allied fighter - crossing the lines all the time.
-
Yes, Rickity's advice works. When you are flight 2 and wait, flight 1 will start anyway. So the fighters will come down on them, and very soon, all fighting will end almost at treetop level. When you start now, they can't zoom at you so fast anymore. But beware! Sometimes, some of the fighters will remain high up - have an eye on them!
-
So it's Fees you fly? God lord - I would have to be a real good escort then... Jim, do you still fly the Roland sometimes?
-
CaptSopwith, as long as we destroy three or more enemy craft, we may write off one of ours for that. Yes, the Albatros DII can cope even with Tripes; and wait till you get the DIII - from Wasquehal, I have clobbered so many Tripes and Pups by now, I should have earned the "Blue Max".
-
Point 7 should be great for people with little time, who want the campaign for the immersion, but not the whole start-and-circle-field. And I'm curious about the SPAD - maybe some more of us will fly that crate now.
-
I'll check it this evening and report, what I get. Wasn't there another possible difference? "Above sea level" and "Above ground level"?

A Salut to a veteran, who is now back with his old unit again, but in peace.
