  1. OT I will be away...

Just now he goes, when my DiD pilot has new victories confirmed. Tch! As if the confirmation procedure wasn't long enough already! Have fun, Siggi! Camping in England can get risky - I remember one week of rain back in 1973. But at hindsight - even that was an adventure. Lol! I wish you more luck though - enjoy!
  2. My Pilot's Notebook

You can always create a second pilot (you may have more first names?) and start his carreer in summer. Feels much nicer - summer 1917, from May on - lovely (except the 'crumpets').
  3. What nationality are you?

The new map will come in a minute - I'll replace the above.
  4. Post a pic of your town

Three points to HomeBoy for good humour and originality!
  5. What nationality are you?

Maybe, in the end it will turn out to have been a big family dispute, that war, Rickity? But well - if we go back real far, we will find, that ALL the human beings today can genetically be traced back to just ONE mother in Africa, ages ago, when we became mankind. No joke!
  6. The "brilliance" and "dedication" of the Brits - tch! How do you call it? "Target: Turnips!" or "...and if our crates are only good for blocking runways" ? The turnips will come out of your ears, Herr Saboteur, whilst we have Caviar and Champagne, Coq-au-vin and Bordeaux, Crepes Suzette and Sauternes! Cest la vie, as the French say! And: enjoy your flatulences - the result from eating too many turnips.
  7. Post a pic of your town

Ah - Sydney! Nice place! Davy - those other pics of the moores are beautiful. I have been up there somewhere, near Derby that was. Great Druid stones at Birchover (? I think was the place). RABU - compliments to your "gardener" - wonderful!
  8. Hm - well - yes, indeed - vertically flying is impossible with my Albatros. The wings always come off, when I do that (but Pol said, that's normal).
  9. Hey - that throws a new light on "your" winnin' the war, indeed! I always knew, it couldn't have been better piloting.
  10. Post a pic of your town

...and some from Berlin, were I live since many years. The Gedaechtniskirche (Memorial Church) is a modern church, built around the ruin of the old one, that was destroyed in a bombing raid in WW2. The Reichstag (now our Bundestag - Parliament so to say) was wrapped by artist Christo in the 90is, before it got the glas dome rebuilt. The aircraft are hanging in the Museum fur Verkehr und Technik (...for Traffik and Technology). The DC3 is hanging outside, over the main entrance.
  11. Post a pic of your town

Some pics from Norden, Ostfriesland, were I was born and grew up.
  12. What nationality are you?

Well, since "Ostfriese" is not a nationality (like Dej's "welsh"), I'm German then, living in Berlin, but going back to my native region by the north sea often, for short-breaks and see breezes. If any other Europeans want to join in to my "OFF-Freaks Europe Map", please tell me your native hometome, and I'll fit you in. Enjoy!
  13. Hauksbee, knowing that you did comics about WW1 air combat, and seeing that avatar picture you recently use (which I assume is from your own works), I wonder, if you could show some of the best pictures or pages here?
  14. Jim ,as you're there: type in "Black Adder" and enjoy!
  15. Thanks, guys. Yes, you will soon find her in the downloads > skins section, Hauksbee.
  16. This just isn't right

BLACK-ADDER-IS-GREAT! I will look once more, if I can get the whole series from Amazon. And British humour is ONE good reason never to fight wars against them anymore - so they have more time producing more of it. On this field, a German can really learn many a lesson!
  17. Pictures of my first combat with Jasta 34b "Bayern". The skin is my newest, and this was a test - the pattern doesn't really fit together yet, but I enjoyed the bright appearance of my wings in this grey wheather. Coming from Ostfriesland by the north sea, Bayern (Bavaria) is rather the opposite side of Germany, but I like their colours.
  18. Well I'll be doggone!

CJ: ...and saw that I had "purchased" a Nieuport 28! Oh, please, CJ - can I shoot it down?! Pleeeeease!!!
  19. This just isn't right

Oh my god - a war of bad jokes trodden loose (can one say that in English?)! Were will it end? Perhaps the most killing joke will be the only one mentioned in the treaty of Versailles?
  20. Well done, lou. It may well be, that some of these magazines don't even try out each sim, they mention and tread down with a few words - which is a real shame. I hope they'll have second thoughts.
  21. Gee - sentimental memories of the days of youth and comic strips! They are great, Hauksbee! They have that right touch, and draw you into the story! I thought, they would! Ah - those days must have been phantastic, when you could draw and release your own comic tales! (I still have books about "The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers"). I'll print these pages out and attach them to the wall left of my monitor, to add some athmosphere to my own fighting. Thank you! PS: Are there two pages lying over each other in PDF 2, or is it just my end - two pics seem to be cut off somehow?
  22. This just isn't right

Good grief, Hasse Wind, what did you have for breakfast? Toast with slices of Good Taste, a bowl of Style, and a cup of Patriotism? Now you may harvest a storm here - Lol! And what is that new suit and helmet you're wearing? It is mid of July! (Or do you fly in winter 1916 still?)
  23. Ot Took my son fishing yesterday

This sort of dad seems to be something, all nationalities have in common. But to put it into good comedy, is typically British. Well, the Americans also inherited such good humour.
  24. After seeing SGCSG1's "thank you for the tip above, I realise again, how much is offered in BHaH (and how little some of us check and investigate - like the great "Workshop").
  25. Any one see this yet?

Here in Germany, people are very much that way, that a) they want to walk into the nearest shop and look for new games; then buy their choice straight away or b) they order it at AMAZON What distracts their attention easily (as I noticed, when telling a friend about BHaH), is, that they would have to get CFS3 first (Bah - old and unpleasant sim!) and that they have to order it from America. They seem to prefer boom & zoom, so to say.
