  1. Just had a crazy fight! A Bristol shot up my engine. I was now diving with standing propellor, when another Brisfit came along; I followed his curve and I plastered him so hard, he went down! Jee, that's always different here - exciting!
  2. Watch your fuel gauge

Depending on the aircraft, less fuel load can bring you advantages, Launchbury. I believe to notice, that my Albatros behaves much lighter with 50% or less filled in. Definitely, the trimming is different. Less fuel = more nose down trimming.
  3. Watch your fuel gauge

Steve - always fill in petrol for 150 % - 200 % of the total flight path (check in briefing room, panel at the right). When you want to warp: lower your throttle to 60 - 70 %, only THEN press "X" for warp. Otherwise you will have too little for fighting.
  4. Do you know anything about English kinda Zeps, Widowmaker?
  5. This is just plain cool!

Girls - they run around in a mini skirt, and then they wonder, why all the boys are staring. Devs - my humble advice: make this lady a test pilot for future versions! Then she will probably post her excitement elsewhere too.
  6. What I find very interesting about the pictures: for the first time we can see a "factory-new" Albatros plywood surface. We can see, how much the grain is visible, and at which contrast. Mathias - as a "skinner" I would like to ask you: how is the plywood getting sealed waterproof?
  7. Balloon Victories?

Steve, I'm afraid you attacked another ballon; otherwise you would have got a kill claim form. Best check your flight path (blue line in the TAC) to the target. Then assign the target (I think, you must switch TAC to "vehicles"), if you want your wings to attack it; then press "attack". If you want to attack it, you better only make sure it's the right one. Don't mark it, just fire at the balloon, and press "return" (then the wingies don't seem to attack). Which nation are you flying for? It might be, that some didn't regard balloon kills as victories? Pol?
  8. What a phantastic picture show, Mathias! Oh, how I envy you, to get in touch with a real Albatros! This is so exiting to see - please keep them coming. I'm just absolutely stunned! How much on the craft is old original stuff, if I may ask?
  9. This is just plain cool!

Light effects are looking good. For the landscape I prefer BHaH (except for the water surfaces). Cockpit interior pretty detailed and fine. How much video and processor power does it "eat"? I'm sure, some of us will get it too, sooner or later; I would, if I had explored all of BHaH, and when they offered enough aircraft. Now please post a BHaH video in the ROF Forum too - then there wouldn't be any reason for trouble, I hope.
  10. Better dress warm, young pilots of the Entente - soon we'll come after you with a razor blade!
  11. Hey, WomenFly2, look at this! WomenFly2??? (She must have fainted). Well - this beauty could sure make me leave my Albatros for some late war campaigns! Great pics, OvS!!!
  12. Which DM do you use

    Hardcore. And as Cameljockey says.
  13. PS: Sorry, in the haste I forgot - welcome here, Mathias! Please, get us informed, whereever and when this Albatros can be watched flying? PPS: and here's the Tutschek Albatros - thanks again, Wings Palette!
  14. Great thread. Here is what seems to be the Albatros at the top. Oeffag D.III Ba.253 Unit: Flik 51J Serial: 253.24 In 1918. A personal aircraft of Oblt. Franza Rudorfera (11 v.), also used by Zgsf.Eugen Bonsch and Oblt.Benno Fiala-3rd highest scoring Austo-Hungarian ace with 28 victories. Again very helpful: the great "Wings Palette" website: http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww1/f/175/175/2
  15. Phase 4

Now, I am just back at the front, and didn't read all this yet. But I don't feel, that I had even explored a quarter of "Between Heaven and Hell" yet. Which I would really like to do, before another version comes out.
  16. Widowmaker: check six!

Thanks a lot, for this great welcome, boys! (Sob!) You know, I really love my native homeland Ostfriesland, and it WAS good to be there again. But TWO WEEKS without BHaH - I think there wasn't a single hour, that I wasn't dreaming of getting into the cockpit of my Albatros again!
  17. Was OFF discounted again?

Siggi: Personally I'm kind of proud (if that's the right word) to be one of the first. Absolutely right, Siggi + Rickitycrate - I earn very little money recently, but even if the devs would have made it cheaper 1 dollar per day, I wouldn't have missed a single day! You want to save money? Okay, save money! Buy less ice cream, pizza, peanuts, popcorn - even good for slimming. But if you feel LOVE for a being or a procuct like "Between Heaven and Hell" - Love won't wait! Never!!!
  18. OT Knight in Shining Armour

Who says we Brits are a bit strange?!! EVERYbody in the whole wide world!
  19. CFS 3 CTD issues

A friend of mine succeeded after completely shutting down all background (TSR) progs, and especially all virus protections and internal security progs. If it should work - don't forget to reactivate them after playing.
  20. Very last pics, from the fight against RNAS-3, we just had. More pics: see "Reports from the front".
  21. Skin Deep

Saturday, June 5th, I'm going on leave for two weeks. Whoever wants to post some skins here, is welcome. Please look up the data about each pilot at the aerodrome, and line them up as I did. Thanks - see you in 14 days! Olham
