  2. Flyboys

Yes, Flyboys was crap, and "The Red Baron" didn't follow von Richthofen's life either. You can watch both movies, and forget about the names, Squadrons, Jastas - just imagine, they were about some other unit. Then Flyboys is still crap; "The Red Baron" a lot better. But even there, I wished, they had worked together more with people who KNOW a lot about those craft. The dive-away scene with the Albatros is impossible with those fragile lower wing - they would break away.
  3. Here's the only waters near Douai today. Could be that Etang at the right.
  4. my favourite Englander really NEVER gives up about his Snipe!
  5. Note, how quick she lifts off up high! Enjoy!
  6. If your interested in ......

Well, even if I could I wouldn't want to fly it - looks like the inlay paper for kitchen drawers. Not all that's difficult to do, is also great.
  7. What are flares for?

Great answer, Bullet. Like that attitude!
  8. If your interested in ......

Good looking, but little choice so far, and very expensive. Here's the link to RODEN - they have a much wider choice of 1:32 models. http://www.rodenplant.com/HTML/framemodels.htm That Pfalz is 1:32. Makes me want to build it straight away.
  9. Turkey Shoot?

The difference is, I think, that new opponents will get spawned. Maybe you can even choose how many and how often?
  10. I tried the SPAD VII, and it is much more fun to fly (but only one gun).
  11. What are flares for?

What Warman did there, can be called "heroism" - or the desperate will to survive. Wouldn't you do the same, when nothing else remains? I would! And if I had a pistol, to shoot myself in case the crate caught fire, and there where six bullets in there, I'd fire five of them at my opponents first.
  12. smoke 'em if you got 'em

Hahaha!! Rickity, what have you done! It's MY job to burn that crate! Oh me oh mine, how many Mata Haris or other pinups must I have burnt by now...
  13. Here are some German planes, that might be on the list already. Perhaps someone can say something about the early types (production numbers, fighter qualities, armament).
  14. That is true somehow, what OvS said - no German planes? We stand alone against Britain, France, America, Australia and Canada! We also need a new craft! With the Dr.1 and the D VII, we have good late war planes (although WomenFly2 would now beat me on the head, for she wants her D VIII); so perhaps an early Fokker?
  15. Haha! That would perhaps be the first time I REALLY earned something with my stuff - Lol!! You and everyone can click on it, copy it and do with it whatever you like. RedDog - I hope we haven't hijacked this your thread too much? Carry on and show us some more!
  16. Just wanted to fool you and say, it's the "Pool of Tears", the Germans at Bertincourt cried about the quality of the French beer. But now that you look into Google maps...
  17. Thank you - big compliment! I just played with Photoshop and Corel Draw, and got carried away with this Comic idea... A one-pic-comic. But then it's a postcard rather...?
  18. Hahaha! Hauksbee - are you sure your "comics days" are lying way behind you? In my youth, I also did some (but never had enough good picture material). When I see your enthusiasm, I wished I would live in Massachusetts. Then we could meet, and draw Comics, and in the breaks, fly BHaH!
  19. Nice to see you flying one of "my" birds now, Widowmaker. And beautiful design, too. Yes, I got hit badly too, by a SPAD XIII, half an hour ago, and my lady produced noises like a sick neighing machine with her broken valves. But she brought me to the nearest field without failing out. Great aircraft!
  20. Bought that Spitfire in 1986, and the Hurricane and Messerschmidt in 1989, I think. I have three boxes full of unbuilt model kits, and as I want to upgrade my rig a lot, I decided now to offer them at Ebay. But I had to make a last sentimental photograph of them. I'm sure, some of you had these models too. Edit: just realised - I forgot to shave today! Ah, the ease of Sunday...
  21. Great news, Pol! But take your time - I think we all still have a lot to explore here already. The Morane is a good decision, as it gives the Eindecker E III a worthy opponent, that he could win against. Should be much earlier than the Nupe 11 - when was it introduced?
  22. Hi, Bruce! You could try the workshop setting "easy claims - bypass confirmation" or so. If you don't want that, you got to list in the above field: ALL your witnesses/wingmen. You can even write the leader of flight one in there, if he was with you (I once wrote Manfred von Richthofen in, as he was leader of flight 1, and near me at the time, and that was accepted). But if your mates all died, you ain't got nobody to confirm. Groundcrew doesn't count (I think it's almost impossible to program into the basis of CFS3). In that case, do what the rest of us does in such moments: go to the mess and cool down your blood with some cold pints; and care for your wing mates better next time.
  23. Congratulation - now you're an ace! Get on with it!
  24. Hi, Cornell Perhaps you mean 3D-glasses? I had those years ago, for Combat Flight Simulator 2. But I should think, the sim must be developed for this? Don't know.
  25. Yep, as OvS says about the fonts. The pictures are good, have a characteristic own style. Very good so far!
