Lou, that looks like the almost right clothing for a two-seater to me. (Must have been terribly cold up there at 12.000 - 15.000 feet) Zoomzoom, I have also one pilot resurrected - same glitch, and he was my best man. But I got the game pretty late, and most pilots die early; so I don't have a good kill tally yet. Like you, I will also fly without warping, when I have uprated my rig (hopefully soon).

Bullet, the HARDCORE model means, that both, enemy and your planes, can take more damage, are a bit harder to destroy. But only so much, that it appears more realistic to me. I still can down a SPAD with two very good, or three medium good bursts. For the guns, my setting is on "normal". But I'm still confused there, what the various gun settings would mean. Perhaps, you could write an explaining list, Winder or Pol? Anyway - I like, what I have now.

It's rather opposite, CJ - I can't seem to fly with real pedals. I have them, but find them useless. I always get into idiotic sideward stalls in manoeuvers, that I can do very well with my rudder-included stick. They just behave totaly different.

This model will never fly, but the guy will build another. And if he can find an original benzine filter (or something near), he already has the engine there to get up with it.

Great report, Cameljockey! Makes me think of one more carrer: as a D VII pilot (never flew it in campaign yet). And I have an old FF stick - but not sure, if it has rudder in the stick.

From my own experience: it will make you feel better, and next flight will be like a deserved vacation (as long as you don't run into me and my Albatros - Lol!)

MvR and his crew never did "scrambles" - they regarded it being suicide, to roll over the field with an attacking Squad above them. Sounds familiar, eyh? Has anyone tried the old trick: to wait, until everyone tangles, and then go up?

Hey, Widow As everyone seems to recommend their joysticks, why not present mine here? It's a Thrustmaster T.Flight Stick X - I'll show you my set up below. It works good for me with all the buttons. I think, though, the HOTAS Cougar would be more precise (plane flying smooth and straighter, especially when shooting!), but I can't seem to get used to my SAITEK rudder pedals.

I have 3 carreers with Albatros (D II, D III, D Va), and one just started with a Dr.1. But they are all so new yet, I have only three confirmed kills (on th D II).

The men fighting under such stressful conditions with the resistance, almost single handed, and always in the danger to be discovered and then definitely tortured to tell all - these men deserve our most respect, for making the war shorter, for saving many lifes, and for ending the "brown terror" faschist regiment. After that, I could hardly get on my bicycle and felt stuffed all day. But I found out: when I give the sausage a miss, it's fine for sundays - you mustn't cook a warm meal later anymore. And for the tea I say: I am an Ostfriese (East Frieslander - so: east of the West Frieslanders, who are part of the dutch nation). In Ostfriesland, tea is an absolute must, a local speciality. People would rather eat less, than have no tea in the house. But in Cornwall, that lady served the Cornish cream tea with a pot of hot milk. Whn she saw, that I poured the tea into the cup, and only added a teaspoonfull of milk, she rushed back, as if I was about to poise myself. "Have you ever had tea?" she asked. "Yes." "And - ah - didn't you put more milk in?!" "No. Were I come from, we drink it like this." She blushed in despair. "But it surely wasn't as strong, as we do it here? It's meant to be filled up half with milk, to make it drinkable!?!?" "No, thanks", I said, supping a bit "it's pefectly fine, as it is. Almost as strong as I like it at home." Then it's time for a morning flight. Then, I do some skinning. After that, eat a little, and come back for a second flight. Then, I care for the map project, I do with DEJ. After that, a third flight. Suddenly the phone rings: were are the print layouts you promised me? I expected them for lunch? And I must bite my tongue, not to say: "That would be rather bad for your digestion, mate! You are disturbing me in nothing less than trying to win the Kaiser's war in my Albatros, single handed! I'll call you back, when I've landed!" PS: Jim - that would be the perfect dream: if you could gain your lady for flying a crate next to yours, in a multiplayer co-op... That was close enough, Hauksbee! Sometimes, they can fly on a bit, and ditch later. After some time in BHaH (when you reach the heavy drinking phase - Lol!), you will have developed a feel, for how much lead you have to pump into his plane to write it off. I then turn on to the next candidate and let him fly his last seconds or minutes, dying. Hard, eyh? Bleech! Widowmaker! Zere it iss again - ze discriminatink war propaganda of ze Limeys! Well, the SPADs skin designs could be made of an interesting looking camouflage sheme, plus a good personal insignia, plus a great looking cowling colour or design. More wasn't allowed, I think, but it could still look great. I encountered SPADs with a red cowling, and camouflage in "dark coffee" and "milk coffee". Looked smashing to me! It mustn't always be an overall crazy art design - I like the "beauty of a warbird", too, when it looks like the SPAD XIII from Smithsonian (colour pic). PS/edit: the below SPAD was a trainer plane - don't believe, they would have allowed such a design for combat. But for the nose section alone? Why not?

Hahaha!!! That's like in my flying dreams, when I was young. I used to sit on the floor in them, and started my imaginary Spitfire, and I really took off, and I would fly, in a sitting position like in a cockpit, legs forward. Wonderful!

My god - I just made my first flight on a Dr.1 in BHaH (and third flight ever). What a demon plane! The three of us were attacked by four Camels. They were approaching from the right, while we still had to start our engines. Still though, I was higher up above, when they arrived. It felt almost like a starting helicopter! Their biggest advantage was me, not knowing this devil yet. Apart from that, they couldn't get behind me at all, nor could they outturn me or escape me in turns. Though the shooting with the nervous lady was terribly hard, I could down two of the Camels. The wings had finished of the other two, and one wing crashed short after. Now I'm an absolute Albatros lover (and I'm an abiding lover), but I must have one carreer with that Triplane, to see, how far I could get with such a witch. Frightening! If you haven't tried her yet - do it. Incredible!

It's harder on German side, to spot planes against the landscape, as the Allied planes all have camouflage (except some French light grey or sand planes). While the German "Flying Circus" must be easy to spot.
