That is in this video, Flyby - after 40:00 min. It wasn't a streetlight, but a floodlight tower.

Another great place I hadn't seen yet - thanks for the link, rjw. The Camel is particularly looking great from this angle (1. photo); and then they even have that rare AEG.

I was wondering since a long time how it might feel to be a developer for WOFF, with so little time and such a small crew, and then still so much to get ready and done - while the fans are ever only asking their menacing "when, when, when will it be ready?" So I started rhyming these Limerick-style lyrics, which could be sung on some old fashioned melody (don't thry that famous Stones song - it won't fit - I just borrowed their title). I hope some of you will come up with more verses. I know mine are no proper English, but I guess they are understood. Come on, start rhyming! SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVEL I wonder how it feels to be a devel Your life must be on quite a diff'rent level The others have the fun fly your airplanes in the sun whilst you can't sleep before some more is done. Each time when you have got a new thing ready You're happy 'bout your progress going steady You go and shoot the screens Then you post the finest scenes But they're like kids - "when is it ready, daddy?!?" Nutrition's too much coffee, smoke and baked beans Your family and holidays in Smithereens Your life is really tough You only breathe for WOFF And now your mouse-click-finger is just falling off. It's quite hearty, HumanDrone - but what is a "facepalm"???

Oh yes, definitely - I didn't mean this to be serious at all! (I hope my funny English DOES appear funny?)

Upgraded My Machine - Now Where's WOFF?

Now, isn't THAT more like your new card? Now you only lack some nicer weather. -

rjw, now that you have a great graphic card, you should use it correct. The rigging wires in your photos show, that you don't use a good Anti-Aliasing. When you right-click on your desktop, you will get a menue with the Catalyst Control Center. There go to 3D applications/games, and pick the highest settings for everything - the card should perform it all. -

Exactly, Tony! Good you reminded me! After the first ten days I must have lost count! Mmuahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!! -
Cologne is funny in some ways (well, it was once or twice occupied by the French...). They drink "Kölsch" as their favourite beer. They only serve it in those small "Kölsch" glasses - not much more than a cup. You cannot order a large one - it must be served in these glasses. But: you can order 1 metre of "Kölsch"! Then they serve a one metre long, narrow tray with 11 glasses of "Kölsch"! And indeed - if you order "halve hahn", you get a cheese-filled roll. Not only you - every other German but a Colognian would expect a grilled half chicken.

This is a good step forward, and it even gives you a new OFF, while you wait. That's great, isn't it? Please report about the 7870 - I'm thinking of getting that card too. -

I wish all of you, who will be in the path of this storm, a safe place to hide, and no harm nor damage to suffer. I keep my fingers crossed for you all! -
The best ones are in my homeland Ostfriesland, when there is a Thanksgiving or Christmas fair. All my people in my hometown know, which of the waggons is baking the best and most delicious "Berliner": "Hinrichs, Buttforde"! You must buy them freshly baked, and warm they are simply the best. Forget "Dunkin' Donuts" - come to Ostfriesland!
-
Nope. But we have a food called "Berliner" - the German doughnuts, which are called "Berliner" everywhere in Germany - except for Berlin, where they call them "Pfannkuchen" (pancake); which is something completely different again for the rest of all Germans.

Not much "chatting it up" recently, Waldemar. I guess everybody is a bit like in a kind of vigilant coma, and only the release of WOFF, or atl least the first "Preview Movies" will wake them all up again. Which must make it much harder for Pol, Winder & Co, as they would rather be fuelled by some more interaction here, I guess.

You can say that again! You could earn a lot of money as a perfect lobbyist! (But then I guess you'd hate all the dinners with politicians...) -

Se5a and Camel Skins modded with Red Canadian Maple Leaf
Olham replied to rjw's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
rjw, I find that especially the Camel and the Red Maple Leaf go very well together. -
Recently I bought some spices from my local Asian market; one of them is a mix of spices which the Indian people add to their rice. It is called GARAM MASALA. That's a mix of cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon and cloves. The nice scent it had on the hot rice made me wonder - this should go nicely with coffee too, I thought. Tried it, and yes, it works fine. Just add half a teaspoon on a coffee pot, and enjoy a coffee with exotic scents.

Nope - Holland is Dutch, and aerh - well, Holland. But it's actually not that bad. The Dutch are the West Frisian people. So we are east of them. See this little map - my hometown is Norden:

Well, he said "iech bin ain Bärliener" - but we understood him very well.
-
Hey, Jim, you may have tried it "here and there" in Germany - but never in Ostfriesland, I bet. We are like an island of tea drinkers there, in a sea of coffee addicts. There are several East Frisian Tea Blends - some add also Ceylon and Darjeeling. Personally I prefer a blend of Assams.

RAF Airfield Manston (and more from the Battle of Britain)
Olham posted a topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Just stumbled across this website on my search about Battle of Britain airfields. The site is specialised on the Hawker Tempest, but still - have a look. I guess what I like about the Battle of Britain and the British achievements is the purity of this important victory. They defended their very homeland, with all their available energy, against an enemy about to conquer it. They knew it was all or nothing - and they gave all. It was extremely straining, and many good young men fell in these fights, but in the end they succeeded - for the sake of Old Blighty (which I couldn't imagine being under the dictatorship of that eager man with the Groucho-Marx-moustache). I can only take my hat off for them all. The airfields can be found under "In Action". http://www.hawkertem....se/Manston.htm And this is a touching video with interviews with pilots from both sides: http://www.youtube.c...v=B3nOS_pqC2o#! .
