  1. So I was playing with Mirage factory's F-5E tiger II and started using its Mig-28 skin from Top Gun and it gave me an idea for a campaign I am working on. I want to convert their F-5 into a real Mig-28 with a background story to boot. During the 1970's many poor nation's got F-5E's under the Darpa military assistance program. The E was an upgrade to earlier models. Paran was one of the leading users under their pro western sultan receiving over 350 of the aircraft to boost it fledgling democratic airforce as a buffer from the Pro communist nations that surrounded it and Dhimar from the south and east. But a civil war was brewing fueled by communist guerrilla's pouring across the border and a poor an sympathetic populace aiding these groups whose numbers swelled. Soon many in the military were showing signs of Communist fervor and sabotage became prominant in airbases around the nation. Fuel stocks were blown up. Aircraft were damaged to keep them from flying raids against the People's Communist Army. The king sensing impending doom fled to Dhimar and the loyalist faction flew out over 60 F-5E's still available but before they left they stripped the remaining F-5's of everything! Engines were grenaded avionics were stripped. These new airframes would never again fly against the loyalist faction of the king or so they thought. In come the Russians. Heavily subsidizing the rebuilding of Peran they like the US granted military equipment and sent technical experts to Paran. Some of these experts were from the Mikoyan-and-Gurevich Design Bureau. The hundreds of Stripped F-5's were looked at, the few imediatly repairable ones were test flown and a decision was made. Updated with Soviet technology and avionics the Mig-28 was born. So that the Campaign story im working on as well as the mig 28 backstory. My idea is to get permision from mirage factory of course and update it with Soviet weapons and avionics and engines. A mig 29 style radar and cockpit. Anyone interested??
  2. Super F-14 Tomcat Image

I think its a pretty fancy photoshop job.
  3. The new F-14's are beautiful but I am having one issue. When engaging augmentation (After burners) the frame rates drop from 25-30 down to 10 or less in cockpit view. The only thing I can figure is that the light emitter in cockpit is killing the frames. Does anybody know how to disable this? Thanks in advance!
  4. Thanks found it and fixed it, Just changed light emitting to False on both and its fixed! Thanks again!!!
  5. Im not finding this "F14BAfterburnerEmitter.ini" Where is it located?
  6. I use the mirage factory one myself. Also there is a high definition cockpit for it on this site under SF2.
  7. UK Harriers retired

Lets not forget that the USMC will have there AV8B's well into the future!
  8. Did a recon flight over the bearing straights with 2 F-14A's to test out the new map. When we arrived we got jumped by some Mig 23's x4 and Su-17's x2. After a hectic fight a SA-8 nailed my wing man and i splashed all the floggers the Su-27's bugged out and broke off and I headed home. Looking at my fuel gauge I became panic stricken as I was reading 410 pounds!!! There was no way I was going the distance! So I cut throttle down to the lowest I could go and maintain alt. 17% at 200Kts. Just as I was getting ready to punch I noticed an airfield that was friendly at around 20 miles and headed for it watching the fuel count down. Upon landing approach I looked again to see it at 70 pounds of fuel! Upon full stop I was at 55 pounds. WOW just WOW.
  9. Does anybody know where to find this cockpit used in the video?
  10. Thanks Porter that's it and it has the pit! Beautiful job on the exhaust and the pit i'm in love again!!!
  11. I got the link to that film on the third wire forum and he clearly states that it is not the F-14 sim from TK. It is the TMF F-14 model.
