About Freiwillige

  1. More popular than I realized

I enjoyed it. I got OFF phase II and tryed it out but It barely plays. Next Computer upgrade I'm all over it! OFF Phase II is fun and really makes you feel there more than any sim I have ever played, That says it all right there!
  2. Red Baron 3D help.

    Really appreciate that, Thank you!
  3. Red Baron 3D help.

So I got the sim running great on vista and downloaded and upgraded just about everything but I have one serious issue. I am playing this on a laptop and I don't have the key required to look at the in flight map! It says in the manual to press zero on the keypad. My laptop does not have a keypad. Does anybody know of a workaround?
  4. How do I change aircraft in campaign? FE1

Well I changed it in the file under First Eagles\Campaigns\WWiE1Camp1 In that folder there is only one file, Where is the other?
  5. I know that allot of Jasta's used AlbIII's as well as Dv and DVa so I wanted to make the DIII flyable in campaign. I changed it in the campaign dat and it shows the aircraft as a DIII in the Jasta selection screen for jasta 4 but when I load and fly its still the DVa.
  6. OT: Graphics Card Woes

If it isn't the card its the PSU. PSU problems can be intermittent and darn difficult to track. I built a custom gaming rig in 2002 for IL2 sturmovik and it ran perfect but it would randomly hard lock. I reformatted, tried every driver in the book, sent it to a shop only to get it back and have the same issue and only with IL2! I was going nuts and just about gave up when a tech friend mentioned that I should try a quality high end PSU. I thought for sure it couldn't be the PSU but it was. PSU= Power Supply.
  7. Review is finished, be sure to check it out.

Was a nicely written review. I for one would be all over it but my laptop doesn't even come close to the horsepower so FE for me and a lil RB3d to boot!
  8. FYI don't hold your breath

I have long since had the feeling that FE series was always a back burner thing. Even in the modding world it seems to take a back seat to the SF series. What's more interesting is that WW1 modders are some of the most fanatical, Look at RB 3D and OFF, yet it seems that few have interest in FE. Its sad really cause FE has some serious potential. Maybe in time?
  9. F-100D somwhere deep over Ost Germany in 1962 and my flight of 4 gets jumped by Mig 19's and 17's I get a tail on a 19 and good tone at about 1/8th a mile (Usually allot farther than I would let a 9B rip) and send two figuring that I would make him jink and close the distance to a gun kill. First one fly off the rail into the abyss as usual but the second seems to track. He breaks hard left still tracking then he levels and dives still tracking then he pulls vertical and its still tracking! I can see it climbing slowly up to meet his hot exhaust and....Boom Mig Kill! I have never seen an Aim9B so determined! Not bad when you add it up, 99 duds and 1 super missile lol.
  10. Luke Days 2009

I was there since I live in Peoria about 5 miles from the base. Damn windy Sunday but was a blast and look forward to it again this year! I got my pics somewhere Ill try and post em.
  11. Caption This

Johny finally found a viable solution to girls and their cooties.
  12. I read somewhere on here that the 9B has a 70% fail to track rate! I can hit with them about 25% of the time but it takes allot of patience. Just stay close and wait till the sucker runs out of energy and levels out after a prolonged turning battle then fire one down his pipe.
  13. OT Severe Weather Warning

Well people can burst into flames if touched by the sun so maybe it is a take cover alert!
  14. 1st question. Yes. Your radar doesn't pick up his radar emissions so his radar does not need to be on. Your radar sends out a signal that bounces back off his aircraft regardless if his radar is on or off. But his RWR (Radar warning receiver) will pick up your radar emissions just as your's would pick up his if aircraft is so equipped. You can look at it this way Radar is active you turn it on power it up and search. RWR is passive as it sends out no signals just receives signals from opponents radar. Hope this helps
