  1. OT-OFF Casual Wear

Nice! But $20 or $30 would be a more realistic price for that.
  2. The Illustrated BOC News, July 9, 2011

Let's hope that The Illustrated BOC News (TIBOCN) will never become part of the Murdoch empire! That would exceed all decent barmyness.

I'd say quite sufficient, at least with the help of a good dictionary. And Goethe! Poems like Der Erlkönig and Totentanz are great, if a bit dark. Very much like the stuff the great American, Edgar Allan Poe wrote later.

It's definitely more difficult than English, but also rather logical, of course with some exceptions. Certainly not impossible to learn well, but one must be prepared to learn a lot of things by heart. My spoken German has deteriorated very badly for lack of use, but I still read a lot in German, which helps to keep the skill active. Regarding English as the language of pop songs, don't forget that you live in a land of Dichter und Denker, Olham! Though sadly it must be said that in the last century, Germany was often more of a land of Richter und Henker. But that's in the past now.

The Oeffag Alb was also faster than the German one, thanks to its rounded nose that the Austrians invented. The only weakness the Austrian Alb had compared to German ones was its armament. The Schwarzlose MGs that the Austrians used were less reliable than German Spandaus, and also had a slower rate of fire.

    Better than many other newspapers.
  7. A Beauty sleeping in the Dust

Good choice, Olham. As to the Roland's seat, if it was an IKEA seat, maybe it was stolen, because it was so soft and comfortable.
  8. A Beauty sleeping in the Dust

Nice cockpit. Olham's a good old bean, I'm sure he won't mind a little off-topicness.
  9. A Beauty sleeping in the Dust

Hey, I have exactly the same kind of chair, except its colour is red!

I don't think problem with wing spars was ever completely eliminated in any sesquiplane aircraft of WW1, but the Austrians certainly had the best results in the Alb D.III Oeffag. The Alb D.V and D.Va were never cured of the problem as effectively.
  11. Excellent video and music. I have no words foul enough to describe how I feel about those speculating Bilderberger vampires.
  12. A Beauty sleeping in the Dust

Yes, it's the throttle. The Fokker D.VII has a similar one. Nice details for model builders in those pics. P4?
  13. Brand new DM and FM now ready!

I have no aircraft folder in my Bletchley mods. But whatever is/was the problem, good to know that everything seems to work fine.
  14. Brand new DM and FM now ready!

How strange. Everything seems to be like it should. I also use Bletchley's mods like Olham, and I'm not getting any errors. Besides, those mods don't have anything to do with the aircraft folder.
  15. Brand new DM and FM now ready!

Olham, there must be something wrong with your installation. I've been installing them in any order and don't get any messages. Inside the mods folder, I first have this: HPW_AlliedFMPack_1.0 (or the German one), then inside it the aircraft folder, and inside it all the various aircraft.
  16. Brand new DM and FM now ready!

I didn't get any warnings like that, Olham. Maybe there's something wrong with your installation?
  17. Should be suitably difficult to follow in the footsteps of René Fonck and his method of getting kills with a few shots now.
  18. Brand new DM and FM now ready!

    Great work!
  19. To Partition or Not to Partition?

So true! I had never experienced a hard drive failure until last year, and I was sure it was never going to happen to me. Now I'm even more careful about backups.
  20. Website P4 Screenshots updated

They will be available in September 1918, if I remember correctly.
  21. OT - Happy 4th of July

It seems to me that mostly Catholic countries have more such days than mostly Protestant nations. In the 16th century, Martin Luther taught us to work harder and celebrate less. We had no choice but to compensate the loss of Catholic holidays by starting to drink more.
  22. OT - Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July from me too. Out independence day is on December 6. Too cold and snowy for BBQ though.
  23. Website P4 Screenshots updated

I went through all the pics yesterday and noticed there were several that I hadn't seen before. Many of them are very impressive. Everybody should take a look at the screenshots showing the new Verdun forts. Talk about historical accuracy!
  24. The Illustrated BOC News, July 4, 2011

Well, if it was an original Sidcot suit, you'd forced to buy it. Right, Lou?
