Sunday files compatible?

Any new additions this week, Stump?
-
Never saw "Jeeves and Wooster" but caught quite "A Bit of Fry and Laurie". Another great showcase for Hugh Laurie's talent, particularly musical. And his American accent is impeccable.

And if Lt. George (Goes Forth): and Prince Regent George (the Third): and even the German villian in the final episode of II (couldn't find a pic) looks familiar, it's because you may be watching him now as: House. Fantastic talent. Incredible range.

And it doesn't hurt to be a tad early or to get with one of the gurus (Vasco, Stump and Sitting Duck, primarily) through the week to make sure you've got all the necessary files. Terribly embarassing to hop on at one minute 'till only to get the dreaded mismatch messages and have to start sorting it out then.

Stumpjumper's Short on a torpedo run. Stump's been practicing: I need a bit more. To quote Maxwell Smart, "Missed it by that much.": I love looking through the radiator. There are spaces between the cooling fins: From the front: It never fails. Ya get a pretty new paint job on your ride and somebody does this:

It was a series that ran in, I believe, the 1980's on BBC and it played on BBC America for a while, though not recently. The set is available on DVD from various souces. I've seen it on e-bay and I believe Amazon.com offers it as well. It was four arcs of six or eight shows each, each set in a different time frame of British history (middle ages, Elizabethan, GeorgeIII right after the American Revolution, and WWI), ostensibly following the descendants of the original BlacK Adder, idiot second son of the king. In each incarnation the main character was a little farther down the social ladder. Each arc ended with all the main characters dying (making the descendant aspect admittedly hard to rectify since he always died childless). The first three were all played for laughs, but the finale of "Blackadder Goes Forth" was one of the most powerful statements about the waste of war that has ever been commited to film, IMO. It always chokes me up.

Are these the required files for tomorrow's flying (including skin updates)? Will having this installed cause mismatches on Sundays? Will not having this installed cause mismatches on Sundays? Are the planes available in QC?
-
I've reduced the size by about 25% and may reduce it more. It's also as low as it will go, or at least as low as I've managed so far. As to left, right or middle, I prefer middle. That way I almost never see it when I'm focussed on the action but it's still available if I want to look at it. But thanx for your off-topic and unrequested advice. Now, back to the purpose of this post. Has this been seen/identified before and/or is it something that can be fixed? If not, which side was really damaged? It could be significant considering one might want to be more careful of the damaged and weakened section.

Setting convergence of guns
von Baur replied to wonderwarthog's topic in WOFF 1 2 3 / UE - General Help
And no doubt the reason the beast came to be called "the spinning incinerator". A few holes in the tank and all that fuel ended up showering the engine. Convergence, as has been pointed out, wasn't a significant factor when the guns sat shoulder width apart to begin with. It became much more so between the wars when aircraft engineering made it possible for the wings to carry the weight of fuel tanks and two to four machine guns (and their ammunition) on each side, forcing the guns to be as much as 20 to 30 feet apart. As for what to aim at, I use von Richtofen's rule, "Aim for the man, not the machine." The only truly vital places on these planes are all concentrated around the cockpit. If you aim at the pilot...and aim well enough...you're sure to hit something he would rather have left unhit. -
Don't know how I did it, but my TAC now looks like this: Can anyone tell me how to get it back to a circle?
-
Thanx, Duck, that worked. Thanx to all who offered help.

Not sure I'll make it. Heavy rains Wednesday and Thursday moved a significant portion of the gravel on my driveway (all 1/2 mile of it) to the bottom of the hill and I have only a shovel and a stepson who just broke his right hand with which to put it back. Significant strides today and I'm planning on getting at it bright and early tomorrow, but that takes priority, I'm afraid. Keep my triplane fueled and armed, but don't be surprised if it just sits.

If it can be done, and if this is to be as immersive and 'real' as possible it should have the N-28's most renowned weakness. Sorry, Rickity, my opinion.

****ATTENTION ALL VASCO VOLUNTEERS***
von Baur replied to stumpjumper's topic in WOFF 1 2 3 / UE - Multiplayer
I'm working on my Dr1, too. Hopefully I'll have it ready in a week or two. Here's a teaser. I still need to do the wings and the landing gear fairing, add a Blue Max in place of the fuselage cross and do some weathering. I tried adding a canvas texturing to the fuselage fabric like I did on Richtofen's Skies, but it looks like the dds file softens it too much. I may have to abandon it if I can't come up with a suitable level. -
Axgrinder's MP Mayhem Sat. 10/17 2 pm est
von Baur replied to Axgrinder's topic in WOFF 1 2 3 / UE - Multiplayer
Thanx for hosting, Ax. Here's a recon photo of the power station that was destroyed in the raid on London. -
Front page says it's an add-on to IL-2:1946. I stopped at Forgotten Battles, so I guess I'm sol, right?

I suppose I can live with that. Thank you, gentlemen. What do I need to do to partake in the joy? -

No pref at this time, Stumpy. I may have to start working on mine. Might find the time, now that mowing season is over. -
Vasco, if Firecage wants a Dr1 I can move into an AD-III. It looks like there's one open.
-
What the heck, put me down for the other tripe, Vasco. Griphos, don't be pointing to any bridges next to bombed out stone towers. I won't follow you.
-
Welcome back, Vasco, and thank you for the report. Hope you enjoyed your holiday. Looking forward to the next go-round. Speaking of which, could you toss up those aircraft options again, please? I remember the Dr1, PD-III and AD-V but I can't recall the fourth plane. Logic would suggest the AD-III, but for some reason that seems wrong. Also, a occurred to me through the week, not sure how easy or difficult its implementation would be. To avoid the "What's the override date?" question always popping up, how about setting the mission date to be the same as the current calendar date? That way anyone with a short attention span (embarrassedly raises own hand) would only need to remember the year.

No problem, Dutch. I know you'll return the favor if necessary. It's all part of team tactics. Good to see new faces. Still waiting on that aar, Vasco. You ok?
