I was once assigned a CAS mission. Everything went fine until I don't know how many Mig-21's came to their boys' rescue. There were 8 guys in my flight (including myself). After one hell of a time, I realised I lost everybody. I decided to RTB since I was the only one left. The bad news is that now I had maybe 8 or 9 Migs on my tail. One shot up my right wing and tore it off. A second one fired a bird at me while I was falling towards the ground. I didn't want to die considering I already had 11 kills so I just poped open my canopy and ejected...

I was wondering if any of you guys ever asked Red Crown for back-up and got it. Red Crown just keeps telling me they have no other fighters available.

He was level flying... I think the only turn he made was to get to his next checkpoint...

I was just playing WoI a few minutes ago. Anyway, this is what happened. I was assigned an intercept mission by Red Crown. I poped my F-4E to power and a minute or two later, I could already see the Mig-21's i was supposed to go hunting. I told my wingman to cover me (I wanted the kills all for myself), and I poped one Mig with an AIM-7. He blew up like what you'd expect. When I started engaging the second Mig, it was like he HAD A GOD MODE or something with him !!!! I mean, I loosed off 4 AIM-9's and my last 3 AIM-7's (one missed), AND HE STILL KEPT FLYING LIKE NOTHING HIT 'EM !!!! Is this a bug or something ??? Sure wish I had what he had...

I actually think those flaks are just for the show... I mean, I once circled around an airfield after I took out the SAMS to see if the flaks even work. After a few minutes (which felt like hours), I still couldn't see a single fragmentation hit on my airframe.

I was wondering... Do you guys think it's possible to tweak Wo* games so that they'll be able to support air-air refueling? I know fuel isn't much of a problem with these games, but then again, dogfights and going outside your assigned area (to look for some trouble) really burns a lot a fuel. I'm not a big fan of fuel tanks bacause of the drag they make (and the weight).

I can't seem to find this in any forum. What's the correct way of delivering LGB's like the BOLT 117 - LGB 1/B? Do I still have to dive bomb with them like the dumb bombs?

Hello, I'm new here and I've been wondering if there's any accurate way of bombing enemy tanks using F-4's after I run out of mavericks on a CAS mission. I don't use a flight stick and that makes accurately firing rockets really hard. I usually go for the rockeyes, but unless I dive bomb, I miss the target. Any suggestions? Dive bombing takes a lot of time and it seems that only the AI's are able to put rockets to good use. Thanks

When it comes to bombing, I usually fly to an altitude of about 10000ft and pop up the airbrakes. Once I feel like diving (I can't tell the distance since I run on the hardest difficulty settings, and I even miss the right target sometimes), I drop until the gunsight is directly above the target. When I reach 2500ft, I let the bombs go and retract my airbrakes and go full throtle away from blast radius. This usually does the job (at least if I hit the building). Btw, I don't go 10000ft until I get close to the target to avoid those SAM's.
