http://www.jamrom.com/hellsangels/downloads.htm If you're a Red Baron 3d player, then this add-on is a MUST download! I just got finished running it through its paces and I'm truely impressed at the work that has gone into this mod. Here's the readme just to give you an idea and who is behind this mod: 10 Jul 03 OvS Hell's Angels Gold Welcome and good luck! Hell's Angels is a one-time install that incorporated the most historic artwork offered by many members of the Red Baron Community. It upgrades many aspects of the game while bringing you the most realistic and gut-wrenching WWI air combat experience to date. Prior to installing Hell's Angels, you need to start with a fresh install of Red Baron, using the 'Full Install' selected. There are literally hundreds of changes that were made in this patch and you'll never see them all... I guarantee that! ;) Some more notable changes/upgrades: Esc.1 Beleque is now historically detailed in nature and offers the Sopwith Camel. Jasta 11 has Kurt Wolf flying with them, in his plum Albatros D.III Aces added are Josef Mai, Herman Göring, Fritz von Röth, Kurt Wolff, and Otto Kissenberth. All American squadron fly the Neiuport 28. Eduard von Schleich is now correctly represented with historic Jasta assignments Several new ace schemes were added that were never used before. Capt. Royce FMII and Zintek DM have helped give Hell's Angels the realism and flying experience that will have you pulling your hair out. If you can keep a pilot alive long enough to earn a Blue Max, then you truly are an Ace. This new FM will require you to fly the aircraft at all stages, no more 'easy, nice and level attitude' when the stick is released. Some crates will almost immediately roll-over into a spin, others will climb too fast and stall. The damage model has all gas tanks, oil tanks and engine damage correctly represented for maximum combat experience. *** The ground fire/2-seater machine gunners are extremely aggressive in this patch. I have placed a default Red Baron rb2sim.ini file for download incase the level is too extreme. Be warned... do not fly low over any enemy gun positions, and practice your approaches to 2-seaters... or YOU WILL DIE! *** Any help or questions, email me, or post a message on the Hell's Angels forum. There is a ton of info to help you in the 'Tips and Tricks' section of the Hell's Angels site, with everything from OpenGl wrapper to Windows memory tips. All the best, Otto von Stachel Go get it gents!! :D Screen shots can be found here: http://www.jamrom.com/hellsangels/Screenshots.htm

The year is 1915. A new type of war has been raging over the skies of Western Europe... A war that straps man into the open-air cockpits of flimsy flying machines to battle it out. New weapons have been forged to deliver the biggest blows to the enemy, and thus a new aircraft designed specifically to travel long distances and drop heavy hi-explosive bombs ontop of its targets! Brought to you by an anonymous builder, this Gotha G.I is currently in early Beta stage. She lacks a cockpit, a few modeling tweaks and a good skin and damaged skin. One skinner is already deciding to take this project up or not, but more skinners are requested! The more skins, the better the package IMO. :D If you would like to skin this kite, please e-mail be at ArgonV at AOL dot com. I request a highly detailed 1024x1024 skin based off of historical markings.

LoL we've had those for over a year now! :)

Look in the folder where you installed the program. There should be an EXE in there. :)

That's right! Three years after the Sopwith Pup's release by MrBlob she has finally been brought up to compete visually with the latest FS-WWI aircraft. A major re-work was done on her adding revised texture mapping; a new cockpit; fixed 3d model of the Vstabs, Hstabs and center struts; OPS code enhancements (Flight model, damaged model, better coding all around) new Lewis gun model by jgro; new Vickers gun model by Ronin; fixed mapping and model of the pilot; and a new bomb loadout for mission makers. The new excellent hi-res 1024x1024 texture was done by FlyXwire and the new pilot textures were done by Recon3. Some of the updates have been rolled in past FS-WWI Plane Packs, but now this completes all work for the Sopwith Pup! :D You MUST have the latest FS-WWI Online Standard for this to work properly (Link found in my sig) Note: Downloading this will make you not compatable on-line Download her here: Sopwith Pup Beta 2.0 Enjoy! :)

This is from: Wings Of Honour Interview "Polish based developer City Interactive is currently working on Wings of Honour, an upcoming action flying game that is set in the little used era of WW I. HomeLAN got a chance to chat with the company's PR represenative Pawel Jagora to find out more about Wings of Honour. HomeLAN - How did the idea come about to create a WW 1 flight action game? Pawel Jagora - Mainly because many members of our team are really keen on flying simulations and are aviation enthusiasts. In addition to that, part of our team has gained some experience in creating flying simulators. Putting all the pieces together, we realized that it can be a really interesting job and we’ve got a chance to create a game that will combine full action with the realism of flying a real WW I plane. HomeLAN - What can you tell us about the game's single player campaigns? Pawel Jagora - Although the storyline will be linear like other titles in the same genre, we tried to avoid being boring and we provided a sophisticated pilot’s career path. Thanks to this, players can be sure that they won’t be able to move forward through the campaign unless they learn certain pilotage skills. And we can promise – there will be many things worth their learning time – the game will offer 20 different missions in different locations (seashore, plains, and high mountains with deep ravines), the further the player will get in the campaign, the better plane he can fly and fight. There will be many different tasks to do and they will differ in difficulty. The player will have several occasion to take command of his squad (in simplified terms– giving orders like: patrol, attack, help me, follow me etc.) HomeLAN - What kinds of planes will be available for piloting in Wings Of Honour? Pawel Jagora - We will do our best in creating our planes to look and fly exactly like their real protoplasts. Our artists are working really hard on creating realistic terrains, models, perspectives and reconstructing historical cockpits. We also would like our planes to have the same flight characteristics like the real planes had in the distant past. There is a list of planes we would like to put into the game: Fokker D.VII, Albatros D.V, Fokker Dr.1, Pfalz DIII, Siemens-Schuckert D.III, Sopwith Camel F1, Spad S.XIII, Nieuport 27, R.A.F. S.E. 5a, Sopwith Pup HomeLAN - What kinds of missions will be featured in the single player campaign? Pawel Jagora - The variety of missions we would like to construct is very wide. Counting them will be too boring and describing them will take ages, but I can think of few of my favorites. Let me think... Of course, the types of missions I like best are great air battles. Many aircrafts joined for few minutes for a kind of a deadly dance, bursts of bullets coming nearly out of nowhere. And anywhere you take a look you can see a “boogie” you can splash. What else? Of course I can’t forget about Zeppelin hunting. There is nothing like seeing this huge deadly machine start burning and turning into dust, but hunting them is not as easy as you think. They are often guarded by enemy planes and of course, they have their own guns to protect themselves. And there is also balloon hunting– they are much easier to destroy than Zeppelins. Other kinds of missions I like very much are different bombing missions. In the game there will be occasions to prove your accuracy while targeting such objects like bridges or warships – they are always heavily defended but it only adds a bit of adrenaline to the action. HomeLAN - How accurate will the game's flight physics model be? Pawel Jagora - We put the main emphasis on making the flight nice for the player, to let him play and have a lot of fun and action during the flight. That was also one of the reasons we decided to produce WW I plane simulation – controlling a WW I plane is much easier than modern jet combat airplanes, but of course there will be an option to add full realism to the flight model – and automatically the game will be much more realistic but also more difficult. HomeLAN - What multiplayer features, if any, will Wings Of Honour have? Pawel Jagora - Of course, we would like our game to last much longer thanks to the multiplayer feature. To prepare a likeable multiplayer we’re planning to offer up to 16 players’ multiplayer mode over LAN or Internet. We will provide several maps and terrains for multiplayer battles and of course, the players will have to choose whether they would like to play death match or team play. HomeLAN - What other game-play features will the game have? Pawel Jagora - All the good action adventure sim (as we’re calling the game) should have. First of all I have to mention full ForceFeedback feature with Vibration Force. Our primary task though, is to provide the crisp realism that is the hallmark of all good simulations. The graphically rich environments will include so much detail that you can even pick out the blades of grass. With intricate reconstruction of models and the ground, the game guarantees to immerse you into the action as you fight it out in the war torn skies. The realistic and at the same time very impressive way of modeling the surroundings will offer the player a thrilling experience. Three-dimensional clouds you can hide in, and the fact that the sun can really blind you, can create totally new tactical possibilities. While deciding upon your victorious strategy, the player will also be able to make use of different landscapes. HomeLAN - What can you tell us about the game's graphics engine? Pawel Jagora - While making the game we’re using our own engine we’re designing in our company. It has no special name (we never thought of one) but it is still developed and being improved and regarding to our programmers and graphic artist’s opinion, it is a really handy and useful working tool. Of course, it takes maximum advantage of DirectX 9 and latest ATI graphic cards generation. HomeLAN - What is the current status of the game's progress and when will it be released? Pawel Jagora - Right now more than 75% of the game development is done. We are testing first playable alpha versions. We don’t expect any problems and we’re sure the game will be released by the end of the summer vacation. HomeLAN - Finally, is there anything else you wish to say about Wings Of Honour at this time? Pawel Jagora - We strongly believe that Wings of Honour will be real fine and very well liked by the players of the game. From air battles and breath taking 30 aircraft dogfights to bombing and spy missions, the game will provide the kind of action packed game play that is guaranteed to satisfy both flight sim specialists and the wider gaming fraternity. Even now – in the early stage of production – we’ve got a very strong and positive feedback from many flying simulation enthusiasts from all over the world. Especially for the players who love to have just flight and fight we prepared a more arcade model of flying. If, however, anyone see himself as a Red Baron successor he will be able to face the challenge and try his abilities in a realistic flight model." This looks to be a "light" WW1 simulation, so if you're a hardcorist this may not be for you. However, the chance to fly around WWI bi-planes in a nice enviroment despite the lack of hard core realism is always a pleasing thought. :D Here is City Interactives website: City Interactive

It would appear that the head honcho for Knights Over Europe (Mathew ‘JP4’ Herman - Producer) has been hinting at how this exciting new WWI sim should play! Here are his exact words from Frugal's World: "First, thanks goes out to Mark who started this forum sometime around 2 a.m. He's a real credit to the flight sim community. Just a few weeks ago we here at Aspect Simulations announced the development of "Knights Over Europe" and the feedback we've received from the on-line community has been overwhelmingly positive. It has been our goal from the start to make a painstakingly detailed WWI combat flight simulator that has great visuals and addictive game play. Our artists and engineers go to great lengths to make sure that whatever we put in the game is the best we can make it. Recently our lead engineer implemented the motion of the magazine that feeds the Lewis Gun. Instead of just throwing in some arbitrary value he researched how the magazine was loaded and then calculated the actual degree of movement needed to chamber each round. It is this type of nuance, added with hundreds of others, that helps to make what is shaping up to be one heck of a game. Most of us at Aspect Simulations are long time flight simmers. We share a lot of the same ideas on what makes a great sim with you. It’s our hope you take the opportunity to send us your feedback on how we are doing. If we get something wrong call us on it. Not more than a few days ago someone let us know that the cowling on our Fokker DrI was wrong. We checked our references and it turns out they were right. As a result we’re correcting the model. If you like sims in general, great! If you are a WWI aircraft expert, even better! Either way our goals are the same, we want a WWI aerial combat experience that you can’t get enough of. Here’s to success, Mathew ‘JP4’ Herman Producer Aspect Simulations, LLC" When asked about certain aspects of his sim, he responded: "Thanks for all the questions. CAMPAIGN KOE will feature a dynamic campaign that is even better than the one in Red Baron II. The best way to summarize it is this. The war will unfold along a historical timeline, but events along that timeline can be pulled forward, pushed back or eliminated based upon the players influence and performance. The great thing about this is that neither side is assured of victory. SINGLE MISSIONS We will have a tool for you to customize single missions. We know that sometimes you just don’t have time to get into the campaign or want to play around with ‘what-if’ scenarios. SYSTEM SPECS We aren’t quiet ready to comment on system specs but I can say that I personally will be upgrading from my PIII 550 w/ GeForce 2 to be able to play the game. If you are an avid gamer you’ll likely have a machine that will play KOE beautifully. DAMAGE While I can confidently say that our damage model is industry leading, to date, we don’t have plans to implement ‘flapping pieces of fabric’ when pieces get shot away. Even with today’s hardware getting that to act appropriately would require significant overhead. But don’t despair…I seriously doubt that you’ll be disappointed with what we are doing with damage. MODS The specific plans for player mod-ability haven’t been locked down yet. However, rest assured that we won’t be doing anything to preclude players from making mods. PUBLISHER(S) I can’t comment on publishers right now. We want to make sure that every interested player has access to KOE world wide. That makes our publisher selection(s) an important one. Rest assured when things are finalized we, and they I suspect, will be letting everyone know. Thank you for all the kind replies everyone: We will be releasing more information about multiplayer in the near future. We also have in mind many of the other suggestions about aircraft failures/reliability, atmosphere and the like. We'll share more information on these topics as time progresses. I’d like you all to know that one of our governing design principles is obsessive quality. We don't plan on implementing anything in "Knights Over Europe" unless it is done with exceptional detail and craftsmanship." The post can be found here: Knights Over Europe - Starting Out

Hiya! The manual should be on the CD in pdf format. Try searching the CD. Have you got all the WWI mods installed? (Sounds like you do) If so, go to where the 1.6.0.4 Patch was installed. There should be a file called keyboard.inp. This is the key map file. Open it up in wordpad and scroll thru it. The view system is as follows: Cockpit View = F1 (Press T and then hit F1 again to padlock the closest enemy. T cycles thru the enemy aircraft) External View = F2 Chase View = F3 Weapon View (After launched) = F4 View Next Vehicle = F5 View Prev. Vehicle = Shift F5 Take Command of Vehicle = F6 Untake Command of Vehicle = Shift F6 Return To Vehicle = Alt F6 Next Crew (From cockpit) = F7 Prev. Here's one with newly added wires!

Should be fine. :) They install in extracted folders which overwrite the compressed 8 bit textures. There is flak, and the AI does ok. :)
