I don't vote in a lot of polls-but-if I think it is a significant topic, I will. Last serious one I voted in was when TK was surveying 3d Wire forums as to what era they wanted for his next sim-I voted and commented for WW1 and we got First Eagles, Yea!!

I have to respect the goal of the moderators: get more participation on this site. Was the plan of "5 posts to download" effective? I don't know-it sure got a lot of responses. I for one feel a bit guilty for freeloading and I tried to say something interesting in my 5 posts. Have you thought of having a "contribution" button like SubSim and some sites have? It might be good to let us help support the site and show some appreciation for all that has been given to us-I like one site's button that shows a running total of contributions so you can see how cheap or not the members are and maybe be inspired to help out a little.

I have not posted because I do not have any mod talent. I am in awe of those who do. I think mods add so much to sims-e.g. Yankee Air Pirate for WOV or the First Eagles Gotha, DH2, Fokker EIII and Battlefield mods. If you consider the Mechwarrior series loosely as sims, it was traumatic to have to use dos commands to "patch C:MW2" to get the thing to run in win 95-it was tough to use a batch file to get rid of the funky mountains in Combat Mission Afrika Corps. Compared to that, things are so easy now. We owe lots to these dedicated modders.

I'll probably buy 1946 but I already have ILFB AEP and PF so it kind of bites to have to get it for 5-10% more content and then have to patch it!

An update would be great. There were some wonderful mods to the original like Meatwater's ECA-hope they incorporate something similar.
