OFF has indeed its charms. And will entice anyone who his interested in WWI warfare, regardless if he likes to play computer games or not. That's the best compliment we can give to the devs. Because, they achieved 100% what they were looking for. I've already told this so many times, but here, we are breathing WWI. Now, P4, please. We're all waiting for the next step.

Well, that's the end of Rise of Flight.

+1 And now the map, more packages, pay, pay pay. The game turned out in a free to pay play way, that I don't like it and will not endorse it. Bye-bye. -
Thanks for the review, Dej. I surely will be wanting to watch this. You do understand that most books adapted to TV or cinema (special this) always suffer a little from the truncation. I remember a few honorable exceptions , like "Brideshead Revisited" (the older series) and the le Carré's "Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy" and "Smiley's People" with the great Alec Guinness as "Smiley".

Yes, indeed. Wise words from Flyby PC. Best of luck, Si. Edit: If you need anything, you know you can email me. -
And not forgetting those American Pratt & Whitney radial engines. A vulgar Vultee BT 13 and its wonderful sound.

Urgent\help needed from the PC tecchies
Von Paulus replied to tranquillo's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
My experience, tells that in case there is no power, no lights, no fans, 8 out 10 is only PSU. And that can be explained in my case, because, most people used cheap PSUs in Portugal (only in the last years the things changed). When I asked the clients if they want to pay a little more for a better PSU, 95% of them didn't want. You could explained them what were the advantages, but they didn't care. So basically only low quality PSUs. But in case where the system has the lights on, with power, hardisks spinning, 8 out of 10 is motherboard. That's my personal and professional experience. I worked in a computer shop (the same for 20 years) and in there, there were no PSU testers or multimeters. We would simply replace firstly the PSU with a new one, just to check. Later when I opened my shop and after as a free lancer, it was when I begun to use the tester. And like I've said I don't remember to have seem a pg sign issue. -

"The World at War - The Ultimate Restored Edition" and "The Great War - Special Edition". I had already both, but these are much better versions (if you forget the crop s**t). -

Urgent\help needed from the PC tecchies
Von Paulus replied to tranquillo's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Precisely my thoughts. Unfortunately it's just an exception to the rule, otherwise it would be really easy to repair computers. The customer who called me yesterday, unfortunately, was not so lucky. A brand new motherboard his coming on his way. -

Glad that everything is working now, Tranquilo. And not having to change the board and formatting the system again, it's even better. It's always good to have spare parts. So just keep the old graphic card for that purpose. +1 Probably some, but not much. I've read that with lower brands they sometimes fake the pg signal, so it's always good. If it's true or not I really don't know. I don't remember to have witnessed a PG good signal problem in my tester. It's true that I haven't used it so many times, as a dead PSU is a dead PSU. -

My ex was also good at the solder bench. She used to repair Sinclair Zx-Spectrums, back in the eighties. Better than I ever can be. But then again I don't solder. -

I too also wonder, even if that's an ATX norm, there aren't different tolerance margins from board to board. Also the graphic card fan is not working. So, or that card is fried, or there's a problem with the PCIe slot or something is preventing from getting the power to her. I can't understand how the pg signal can cause that. He is only helding the CPU in reset state. Tranquilo, it's really a pity you don't have anyone with a couple of spare parts. It sure could help -

I'm not an electronic expertize, but before you do any thing, I'd wait to see what Tamper has to say about this. That parameters of Power Good Signal, are defined by Cool Max, I'm not sure if that's reliable or not. It's a value between 100 and 900. -

Tamper, I often replace 478 motherboards. Asrock still makes. And probably it's one of their better success in terms of sales. Last week exchanged a faulty 478 motherboard (with one cap damaged) with one of those Asrock. It was the same chipset family has the board I had to replace, so no format needed. That's what I call a clean service. -

But Tamper, do you remember seen any Asus with swollen caps, even before they moved to solid ones? Gigabyte also don't remember have seen one, although I cannot compare the numbers of Asus passed through my hands. -

You're right, of course, NS13Jarhead. Only Tranquilo's motherboard it's an Asus motherboard. I don't even remember one that have passed through my hands with swollen capacitors, over all these years. But it's always good to check it out. -
I was being sarcastic, in you case you didn't notice.

Tamper you're an encyclopedia of resourceful techniques. While I used the technique of the clip to start some PSUs, I'm ashamed to confess I do have such a PSU tester. In my defense, I can say that my clients loved to read the output in the small LCD and they firmly believed that result more than when showing with a multimeter. -
But... but... it's free to play. And besides you get Hawaii to explore. Exiting, isn't it? No TrackIr support, but expect to have Kinect support, that way you can enjoy with your all family.

Si, one thing that helped me in the first months, was chewing gum. Four months later I quit on chewing gum too. -

My experience with smoke, is that there isn't a standard way to quit, and each individual must find what his more appropriate to him. I try reducing and acupuncture. None of those worked. Until one day, seven years ago, my ex-wife pick on me because I was smoking too much while watching TV and was making her to smoke at a higher rhythm. In the middle of the arguing, I said that I would quit smoking at that precise moment and would never get any cigarette again. And I've asked her, that If I being a non smoker, she would also quit smoking because it would certainly annoy me. She said she don't believe that I could quit... I'm a man, my word is my word, and never smoked again since. She too quit smoking 7 months later. I know there's always the danger of getting it again. And boy, how I wanted this year, after all the stressful things that happened in my life this year, a divorce, the loss of business and my mother's death with cancer. But have been strong and faithful to my word. It's still a fight that I'm battling. Glad to know that things are working with you, Lou.
