Ahah. Hellshade, I received the copy only today. I've only opened a few minutes ago. It brings a map. Nice. I'm in no hurry. I've to finish my Panzer Corps mod first. But I'll promise you'll be the first to know.

Well Vgachartz is not reliable sourcw but they estimate 3.4 million in 48 hours. Not counting the digital sales. http://www.vgchartz.com/article/88459/skyrim-sales-exceed-34-million-units-in-two-days/ And also interesting is the number in Steam of people playing. Beating CoD. http://store.steampowered.com/stats/

There's a way to move all Steam games. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7710-tdlc-0426 But to move individually, I don't know.

From what I've been reading most PC players is complaining with the s**tty UI. It seems is better to wait for the first patches and for some UI mod. http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/EricSchwarz/20111111/8866/Skyrim_or_How_Not_to_Make_a_PC_Game.php

I've already checked my graph paper's provision. Edit: At least in terms of art, it's outstanding.

For those who are missing a real dungeon crawler like the old Dungeon Master, take a look at this indie project, that is expected to be release in the end of the year. First day buy for me: http://www.grimrock.net/

@Flyby PC Xenonauts, promises to be a good successor to UFO - Enemy Unknown: http://www.xenonauts.com/ Everyone which is fan of the original should keep an eye in this indie project.
  18. Windows XP Memory Question

Oh yes. Only it was a Dell... Duce bought a new graphic card but it didn't work with Dell's original motherboard. It was one of those situations, that if there was a hammer nearby...
  19. Windows XP Memory Question

There was a stranger case in this forum a couple of years ago. Our missing pilot Duce Lewis, bought 2x2GB and windows only recognized 2.5GB. Probably this was due to a combination of Motherboard and graphic card. It was a Dell. We tried everything but the result was always the same. He was going to replace the motherboard, but never reported back, he's been missing since then. :( It was with this case that I learn about the issue that Tamper is referring to, that it could depend on graphic cards and other components as well. That's why I'm using always the word "around" 3GB.

Eheheh. I wouldn't laugh, if I were you Hellshade... Imagine if they target Elder Scrolls audience for these little guys:

Exactly. We're now on the opposite side from where we were in the beginning of computer gaming. In the 80's (to be more precise until 2000), we the players, had to adapt to the game (gameplay, UI, etc). Now it's the game who adapts to the player. The problem is that it adapts to the wrong type of player, the casual one. We're in a way promoting the dumbness. After all, that's where the money is.
  22. Windows XP Memory Question

It's independent. One thing is your graphic card inner RAM the other is your system RAM. So you don't have 5GB. You have 1GB Graphic card and 4GB of system memory. From those 4GB, XP (32 bits) will only address around 3GB. If you have a graphic card with no inner memory than, the graphic chip will use your system memory. Those are usually onboard cards.
  23. Looking for advice

I think ot won't make much difference if you use 4Mb instead of 3Mb. I would buy a better graphic card. A GTX 560 or a ATI 6950, if you don't want to spend much money. If you find a ATI 5870 with a good price, it's also a solution. You can always go for GTX550, if you're working on a tight budget.
  24. I've tried it, a couple of years ago. Didn't noticed any difference with OFF. Edit: I remember the placebo effect. But in the end I concluded that it didn't matter in my case with OFF.
  25. OT: Attention Fantasy RPG Fans

I stop reading gaming sites or magazines for some time. At least I don't take what they write as serious as was a decade ago. Most of this sites and magazines live from publicity, so in an indirect way they are sponsored by AAA. That goes well with the current trend of affairs. So I only read forums and user opinions. If you want a good RPGforum, and you're above all a RPG addict (), I'll advise rpgwatch. You'll like it. http://www.rpgwatch.com/ For a joke, you can go to rpgcodex, but that's too heavy. That's a flame forum, but the guys over there are "sui genereis" or at least they like to behave like that. They are old time rpg fans. Usually hate all the games since Ultima I. Ok, I'm exaggerating, but not much. I'm sure it's not your place. Ahh, and you'll also like gamebanshee: http://gamebanshee.com/ In rpgwatch and gamebanshee, at least, you'll find some fine talk about rpgs.
