  1. OT: Attention Fantasy RPG Fans

I don't believe they are free to do what they really want. They praise too much their heads. That's the main difference with OBD. It's not a question of being creative or loving doing what they do. It's what are they risking, that counts. I don't doubt for a second, that P4 will be great, because they love what they do do, they are creative and don't need in last instance to answer for their failure (if indeed there was one). So it's mostly love with OBD. Besides OBD just answers to OBD, that's not the case of Tom and the others. ArmA does it in a way.But that's not the point. The point is will how far is this will be well implemented? I'm always hearing about the AI, but I do count the times that a good AI is implemented. It's better to not argue about UI interface and about missing stats. For you it's an advantage, I don't see it that way. I hate dumb down systems. I hate awesome buttons. Usually will end up having less choices and everything seems more streamed. I stop read at the word IGN. Hellshade, just like you, I hope to be wrong. I honestly hope this turns into a new standard in the gaming industry and you'll end up being 100% right. I'd love that this would be called one day as a classic title.

Hellshade, with all the due respect, but I really doubt that Skyrim will change anything in terms of gaming and will set a new standard. I've my pre order of the game. However I'm not hyped at all. And to be honest didn't read much about the game just for not end up being hyped. I just don't believe that a game that is release in a multiplatform (consoles) will set anything new at all. I don't believe that in the current world affairs anything fresh will come from the computer gaming industry, from a AAA title. It can be good to play, but that's it. After the release of Apocalypse Now Redux (I prefer the original editing, by the way), I read an interview with Copolla. The interviewer asked him if a movie like "Apocalypse Now" could be done nowadays. Copolla answered no, because the time of the epics is over. And while we all know how Copolla thinks about himself, it's no less true. The Copolla of our days is James Cameron, that's what the movie industry promote. That's what the shareholders want. That's what we get. With the computer/video gaming industry, what we get is just that kind of stuff. However there are from time to time a few exceptions. Maybe I'm wrong and Skyrim turns out to be a new "Apocalypse Now" instead of a new "Avatar".
  3. Stupid anti-virus question!

You definitely need a firewall. ZoneAlarm or another. I've a PC running with Microsoft Security Essentials and free Comodo Firewall. It seems to combine well, but if you're used to ZoneAlarm keep it. My English grammar, unfortunately, is blowing all the time.
  4. Stupid anti-virus question!

I didn't know that 5 year subscription, otherwise would have bought it. Anyway I just update my subscription, every year. It's not so much expensive. But if you want to go to a free av, I would recommend, as well, MS Security Essential.
  5. I just loved Dogfight Dixon, when I was young. Unfortunately, like most of my other comics, I've lost them. I know a place where I can still buy them, in Portuguese. But now they are expansive. Collector's item.
  6. Steve Jobs RIP

A man with a indomitable spirit. Computers wouldn't be what are today without him. The world today seems to be smaller without him. May he rest in peace.
  7. I WANT ONE!

I'd love to see the guy simulating entering in a spin.
  8. Long Time My Friends

Nice pieces of folk art, ras. 1 vote also to Folk Art Eider Duck.
  9. Long Time My Friends

Hi Ras. Why should we've forgotten you? Take a look at the P4 screenshots. And welcome back.
  10. Arma II rulez! Arma III, will bring new levels of realism. It will be a must for ITV.
  11. CFS3 Ubisoft DVD version

Nice guys those hackers. This is not the first time that the industry, uses the hard work of those hackers. At least they could have bother to alter the signature. But no, that would consume them to many resources.
  12. My baptism on WW2 was made with the documentary series "The World at War", with the comics "Battler Britton" and with BBC tv series "Colditz" when I was a kid. Probably, my British mates here with my age, will remember it. Today, after waiting for a couple of months of being in backorder, arrived in the post my copy of Colditz: I know I'll be at bread and water for a week. I don't care. This is the best news I've got in the last weeks. I couldn't resisted in also sharing it with the folks here.
  13. OT: Finally arrived today

Ahahah. The worst thing that can happen to you, is she ask you to dress up as a POW.
  14. OT: Finally arrived today

Thanks, themightysrc, for sharing your personal story.
  15. OT: Finally arrived today

I've played a long time ago. I've finished it. I like the level with Nazis soldiers, but didn't enjoy much the paranormal part. At the time I was much more interested in playing NOLF (No One Lives For Ever).
  16. OT: Finally arrived today

As far as I remember, the Kommandant, was not Nazi. He was just a Wehrmacht officer, he was no Nazi. Hauptman Ullmanm, the same. Only Major Horst Mohn was a Nazi. This kind of series, with some historical accuracy, they don't see all Germans as Nazis.
  17. CFS3 Ubisoft DVD version

You can try to make an image of your CD in your HD. And then mount it with Daemon Tools lite. http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/products/dtLite It's worthy a try. And I think it's legal, as long you've the original. @Hasse Wind In some countries it's legal to have a backup copy of the original. You can make a copy of the DVD into a DVD+R DL. The original doesn't have any copy protection to surpass. And it will works. I never installed from my original.
  18. P4 DEVELOPMENT SCREENSHOTS

Now you awake my curiosity. How hurry do you have to be? Maybe you could ask Pol or Winder.
  19. P4 DEVELOPMENT SCREENSHOTS

I'm interested in everything that OBD launches. It doesn't matter if it's packs, expansion or phases. I'll buy it anyway.
  20. P4 DEVELOPMENT SCREENSHOTS

    ... or an expansion.
  21. BH is Back

This is fascinating stuff, BH. Thanks for given us some enlightenments.
  22. BH is Back

From what I know, fire investigation is really a "Sherlock Holmes" job. Nice truck.
  23. BH is Back

Yes, I've already wondered, what would have happened to you, bullet. Glad to know everything is ok with you. And now do yourself a favour, and take a look at P4 development screenshots. Cheers, mate.
