  1. Tnx Maeran; I just went looking for them and confirmed what you said. Little devils were too hard for me to find until I got down really low.
  2. Olham; Now that we are on the subject of aerodromes, I have yet to find any windsocks on the aerodromes of OFF. Would be useful in determining wind direction when landing.
  3. Now that, Olham, is an interesting find. Tnx for the post, I'm going to have to do some research on it as I'm not familiar with it. UPDATE: Just found this link about Stow Marie - http://www.stowmaries.com/
  4. Hi Adger; Olham has given some great advice there!. I followed the advice in the forum on skinning when I started and it is very good. Best regards;
  5. Hi Adger; If you liked the second shot click on the third shot to enlarge it because there is something there you may not have noticed! It's the piece of the wing I shot off and I don't know how it missed me when it came down because it was very close!! Like your shots and particularly the heart rendition on the side. Did you skin this yourself? Best Regards;
  6. I just tried Olham's suggestion of "5,3,4,5,5" and didn't notice any degradation from my oringal all "5's" settings so I guess I will leave it with Olham's settings. No point in running all "5's" with no gain. Here are some sample screenies:
  7. Hi Adger1971; In answer to your ?, The maple leaf skin is a custom I did. The upper wing serial# is my fathers dog tag # from WWII, and the flag is the Ontario ensign. Adger, is the ? about 5,3,4,5,5, for me or Olham. Mine was set at 5,5,5,5,5 when these pics were taken. I intend to try terrain at 3 as Olham suggested.
  8. Some screenies taken since upgrade to 20gb mem, and addition of Saphire HD7870 vid card.. Now have sliders up all the way and no significant stutters.
  9. I'm curious to know if you take a screen capture or run Fraps during a mission, do you get two renditions, one for each monitor or is only the primary monitor captured in the session.
  10. Now that's interesting! Woner why sims are excluded?
  11. Gee Hood...let me think...."washing machine?" could that be a wife??? ....OOPS Political error !!!
  12. Say Hood...have you got one of those shekels trees???
  13. Hi foks; I have been following this thread with enthusiasm and have learned quite a bit from all of you I have also noticed a change in tone of the recent posts. I know that all of us share similar interest or we wouldn't be posting here. Differences of opinion are normal and generate very positive learning experiences if they are respected and kept cordial. Personal attacks bring things down a notch and risk future willingness to contribute and share opinion and knowledge. Sorry if I seem assumptive, but I value all of your combined input and friendship so please consider my thoughts here. Thanks for listening! Best Regards to all.
  14. Tnx Lothar, I missed that. Regards;
  15. Hmmm; I know I have already voted, so I'm not making any changes, but.....(What is Pol's birthday!!!!).....Hmmmm
  16. Hi Olham / Erik; I too suffered some concern as well during the outage. I looked around some of the other boards in hopes their might be an explanation but none found. I also was surprised that there was nothing said about it after restoration. I can say that I was very happy when I was able to finally sign in again. Best regards folks;
  17. Great map Olham. Now I can see the use of dual monitors! One for the map and one for the game!
  18. The aerodromes seem awfully close to the trenches. Almost too close in the event of arty shelling. I don't know how they didn't get shelled being that close.
  19. Olham, there is good and bad in every nation. It just so happens that the one who loses the war pays for the atrocities. Such things happen on both sides. Hopefully our politicians learn from such events although history would prove me wrong! All the best mate!
  20. Tnx Olham. Villiers Bocage brings memories of WWII conflicts!
  21. 2 days, 2 aces

    Olham; Regrding your ? to Shiloh on the number of re-enactors. Check out this official link: www.gettysburgreenactment.com/ It pretty much defines everything relative to the event. I also spent many years as a Civil War buff and visited many of the battlefieds. Gettysburgh is impressive and you can't help feeling the aura of the place when you walk it. It's hallowed ground if you know what I mean. ‎
  22. Amazing how that camel cowling folded up like paper! That surprised me! Thanks for the post Olham!
