  1. I just knew this post would generate some interesting replies!! I should have know you "elite" and "valued" members would have the answers!! Have a great day, I know you all just made mine!
  2. Night Flying WW1

    Nice piece of flying Shiloh! It looks hard to track your opponent when he passes into the dark background clouds!
  3. Geez Olham...If we drool any more we'll likely drown ourselves!!!
  4. I was surprised to see the troop movement while capturing a video for a friend interested in OFF. I thought I would post it in YouTube for general viewing for anyone in the forum interested in it.
  5. By the way Hellshade, I forgot to ask what s/w u used for the Text overlays in your vids. I really like that feature.
  6. Thanks Olham, I understand your point. I just turned them all on for the benefit of my friend. There are really more things than I can possible show in one video but I wanted him to see some of the aids available for a new pilot in OFF. Best Regards;
  7. Thanks Hellshade I appreciate the vid.
  8. @ Hellshade

    Hellshade; I have the answer for you! A couple of shots of a good single malt scotch usually settles the nerves down enought to allow for smooth operation of hand and mind coordination! Remember "NO MORE THAN TWO" or you'll be dead meat! Best Regards;
  9. New Zealand Air Force

    Nice Reminder for those who have not seen them. These are always worth reviewing for the historical content.
  10. Shiloh; One point worth noting. Jasta 18 was stationed at Montingen (South of Ardenne, west of Argonne) July 18th 1918. It would appear to be too far away for action near one of your missions on the north coast. Would you agree?
  11. Albatross D.VII

    Not me Olham; I prefer function over appearance any time. That being said if it looks good....it's a bonus!
  12. Thanks for bringing it to our attention! I would hate to have missed it. I hope someone posts vid's of the flights to the internet. I would love to see it in flight! Cheers!
  13. I'm late getting on to this post but have to say "that's a fine piece of work". I hardly seem to get time to fly OFF let alone be that creative. Thanks for making it available to us all. Cheers, and have a fine cup of tea on me!
  14. Shiloh; I did as I promised and did not duplicate your problem. I had three missions and all went well. Let me know how you make out with your tests. I may run a few more just to be sure. I have attached three screen captures of opposition and map data:
  15. Hi Shiloh; I've never paid much attention to comparing the colour schemes to the Jastas I'm facing in a mission. I guess I'll have to pay more attention to this and hopefully will be able to confirm that it either does or doen't happen to me. I'm usually paying more attention to the labels for reporting purposes. Can I presume that your claims are never rejected due to this conflict? Best Regards;
  16. RAF_Louvert; Thanks for those comment! You made my day! There is never anything so serious that cannot benefit from a little light heartedness!!
  17. Ouch...OUCH!

    I was reading your post about your debacle when I glanced over at your icon and read the phrase "excellent lover with a touch of panache" and mused about changing the "panache" to "bad back" How insensative of me to muse at someones plight., but I had to share the moment with you. Hope you make a quick recovery! I have suffered same and it is not pleasant! Best Regards;
  18. It's all been said here already!! Excellent Work!!
  19. Well, I didn't do too badly today either (bagged 23 of 25 clay birds in my trap shooting session at the club....but they don't shoot back!!!!!).
  20. Your point about debris is well taken. I experienced just that tonight when my victim's engine with attached spinning propeller passed just over my upper wing after I shot him up! Had my heart a flutter!!! Never the less, there are times when fleeting shots require you to effectively lead the opponents trajectory!
  21. Thanks to the gentleman who extracted this subject matter and set it up as a new post. I would like to add that the subject "Aerial gunnery training" is quite appropriate. Nothing better than trap or skeet shooting to sharpen your aerial gunnery skills!! I highly recommend it. Best Regards;
  22. Computer help needed!

    I see that there have been a considerable number of helpful suggestions and offers by many of the members to help you get your system back up and that is great. That being said, I haven't seen any suggestions on the following and I heartily recommend it if you haven't currently addressed them. Get an external hard drive of the capacity required to allow you to backup your whole system (OS and personal files). You will never lose your data again and it will aid in recovery in the future. Save your current hard drives and if you know of anyone with copy software such as "Ghost", you may be able to recover all your files for your new syste,. Hope this helps some. Best Regards;
  23. Sorry Olham!! My humour does go astray now and then... I appreciate your "Special Moment" and didn't plan to hijack your post! Best Regards;
  24. At the risk of sidetracking Oltham post I will answer you. Cooking and serving clay birds....bonus: no defeathering, guests will not ask for seconds, no mess no fuss!!!
  25. A GOOGLE search on "photos of 419 moose squadron" brings up some photos with markings of some of the Lanc's of 419
