  1. Do you mean to install each game in a separate 'saved games folder"? deanklef
  2. hi, I just tried installing a campaign " 48-56" toSF2 merge of SF2-I plus Expansion pack1 ,SF2 E, and SF2V as called for In the campaign. I followed the installation instructions and installed to the created mod in saved games. when I tried playing it every thing went back to the default install of the merged games. Even though I deleted the original objects folder, and replaced it with the new one. Thinking this was a fluke, I tried a separate install of another campaign Falklands 82, with the same results. I tried the SF2 knowledge base forum, found nothing referring to this problem .I know its my fault , I am probably misinterpreting something in the instructions. I am using SF games purchased about 4 months ago and am running them in Windows 7 thanks for any help on this, deanklef
  3. Ouch! The instructions said to install as I did in my original question. So I guess that is wrong. now should I install SF2 Israel alone or with expansion pack one included? deanklef
  4. Ok, I checked options.ini in the saved games folder for "48-56" and found the following: [Mods] ModsEnabled=TRUE Directory=C:\Users\Nan\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2_48-56 Editors=StrikeFighters2 [screenShots] Directory=C:\Users\Nan\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Israel\ScreenShots Format=JPG So what do I change? deanklef

  6. Hi, I'm getting ready to do a full merge [five third wire games] .What is the best order to merge the five? I believe Wrench, in answer to an earlier Question , said that SF2 Israel was not a preferred base to start with. Deanklef
  7. Hi, I can't get prop planes to load in my game, I load jets ,no problem. But with prop planes , they won't show up. I'm running SF2 Israel + the expansion merged with SF2 Europe. Both games purchased in the last two months, so I guess they are up to date. I am in windows 7 , that should be ok for SF2. Besides a brain, what am I missing in the install? Deanklef israel
  8. Thanks Wrench, I read your "how to Adjust the Year spread" and I will now push off into the great unknown . Is there a special 3rd wire cat extractor for SF2? also the stock P51 works ok in the merged SF2 Europe. Thanks for all your Help, deanklef
  9. The stock Mustang works ok in SF2 Israel. Should I try one from Combat Ace? deanklef
  10. tried Spitfire 9e, 9c in a separate install of SF2 Europe, no go, years start at 1957. How do I find the options.ini to alter the year spread? If I read you right, don't merge SF2 Israel with any other game ,if you want to fly props? Thanks, deanklef
  11. You askec "Pass me your home IP address in a PM so I can research this for you." You are very thoughtful. However, I do not know what an IP address is in a PM. Could you guide me on that first? Deankleff
  12. Trouble loading CombatAce We just went to Windows7 and use Comcast XFinity. Since that time we can no longer bring up CombatAce on our computer. We are not sure why this is happening. We miss our access to combatAce. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can get this fixed? Thanks in advance for your help. deankleff
  13. Hi, I bought a copy of SF2 Israel last month, runs ok with add on jets, but all the prop planes I load into the game don't show. I just get sound and the floating weapons. I could see a problem with one or two but I have tried about five with the same result. What am I doing or not doing right? deanklef
  14. Please send me the links , and I will try again. Also what does 3W DLC stand for? Thanks deanklef

  16. Hi, I'm just starting in SF2 and Have question about DLs ..I read in the knowledge base that to install aircraft it must be installed as an object in the saved games folder which I thought I did. The instruction for installing Vautour BN in the saved games folder of SF2 I say just drop it in as an objects folder into the objects folder, of course I got nothing in the game. What did I miss? Deanklef
  17. Disregard above reply. I need to look before I leap! Modder hit it right, Its now fixed and is working good. I guess I got an excuse for my dimness, I'm 77. When I was a kid we didn't have TV, let alone PCs. Any way thanks for your help, gentlemen, and be assured, I'll be calling for help in the future. deanklef
  18. Could I substitute anther cockpit in place of the missing one? deanklef
  19. were in Sf2I should you put the sound folder for an addon aircraft? In aircraft folder or in the objects folder? Deanklef
  20. Got it, Thanks.Wrench deanklef
  21. Sorry, that was my fault, it is [ cockpit data file=VautourN_cockpit. ini ] Deanklef
  22. Hi Wrench, Yes, there is a cockpit subfolder inside the Vautour N folder exactly the same as the B model only the B model's cockpit works and the N models doesn't. They both reference A-4f and F-86f gauges ,.Why one works and the other doesn't is beyond me. I tried interchanging them, but it doesn't help. sorry. I was not permitted to attach this to the reply.. [cockpit data file=Vautour N_cockpit. ini ] would help to change the N to a B? deanklef
  23. I put the Decals, Plots, and weapons to were they should be and now both aircraft show up in the game, although I don't have a cockpit view for the Vautour N. both plans file look alike
  24. You are right, I think I put all the files in the aircraft folder. I will try putting them in the listed folders and see if that works. Thanks, I will let you know how that works out Deanklef
