I think I will have to do things on a bit of a tighter budget for now, going to clip a fan to the top of my monitor and get the missus to throw castor oil at me.

also to save you time on those sums there is a much easier way of working out totals... Add up total kills of pilots.... subtract the total at the bottom of bomber page.. theres you fighter total.

Ahh I see it is too do with keeping seperate kill totals for the squardons.... So I guess we will all have to do some daily sums to provide you with seperate fighter stats :( Simplest solution to my mind would be one board for british and one for German then running totals would be correct and noone, you or players would have to do daily maths :) (just add up the columbs) I for one couldnt care less what percentage of kills are in bomber and what are in fighter... just who is winning! Shame about dead pilots. Otherwise though cracking good work! PLease dont take any offense at my feedback

Also was wondering.... would it be possible for dead pilots not to be deleted? Would be nice if they stayed on the board... I know the board will get long but a shame to lose thier record after all the hard work and gives targets for future pilots to beat (would also make it really easy for you to keep track of suadron grand totals if the info never dissapears).

Sorry Sig.. I dont think you are getting it... you dont need to touch a calculator. The figures we send are correct. You dont need to change them. Why spend time splitting up our figures when noone wants you too? To try to get this straight.... You are spending time subtracting our bomber scores from our fighter scores yes? But we dont want you to do that. And you dont want to do that. Why dont you just put up the scores we send.... you dont have to touch them... just type them in as they are. Here is the system 1 player sends you his pilot totals (bomber and fighter combined!) 2 you put them up on board (if player is still in bombers it goes on bomber board, if in fighters it goes on fighter board. 3 Job done, no maths No use, need or desire for you to waste time splitting them. Hope this cleaars up our point... really... we are trying to save you alot of pointless work!

Still dont really understand what you mean by work for you... We send you the numbers... you put them up. No maths involved at any point. Sorry not trying to be funny! just really dont get what you are saying... what do you think you need to do 24 times?

Not easy for me really. Means every time I report I have to go through my log calculating figures... I have to deduct all my bomber stats from my dossier to work out my report. Not clear where the dificulty is for you... we send our totals... you put them up surely? Not your responisibility if people dont send you there correct combined totals. Ive noticed that Olhams pilot already has his correct combined total up for fighters (ie it is his total for fighters and bombers combined). Would be easiest if you just deleted the pilot from the bomber list completely when they transfer... doesnt really make sense for them to still be on a roster for a squadron they are not in... after all you delete the dead ones and keep the transfered ones....

Looking at the german scores... We're not carrying our scores over from bombers then? Seems a shame not to show how many kills a pilot has actually got. After all when you transfered in real life they didnt wipe your record. Does anyone else have any views on this?

Ive been trying to work out what that story was since I read it at school 20 years ago!

VR has come on alot since the old days... just isnt as much media hype any more so you dont hear about it.

Actually modern VR does all the work, games do not have to be coded for 3d. The game is already a 3d environment all the headset does is calculate how to render a dual image from it. Apparently some games work better than others but none of them have to be designed for vr.

These days I don't think Id bother with that setup if i had that much cash. These days you can get full 3d VR goggles which put you inside the game for about a thousand pounds. Some have superb field of view now too (often better than you get wearing flying goggles!) And of course you can combine that with Track ir to look around... just image in it! actually sitting in off so real that you could almost reach out and touch the dashboard... Must get a bank loan.

I never played OFF 2... I might be wrong but i think it was more like a mod for CFS3 than a complete game. Basically it is really an old beta of the game OFF 3 is the complete game. Sure someone must have it though, just no-one would bother running it anymore now they have Phase 3. I know what you mean about money... but I had to budget for it as it is such a good game... and it is only £17 plus postage (6 days to UK) I just missed my weekly night in the pub.

You just change the squad name, it works perfectly :) If you are worried make a backup of your pilot dossier file first.

I was wondering about stats too, makes more sense carrying stats over with pilot... after all I have carried pilot over so when I give you stats it will be for entire career, not just fighters.... may get complicated for you deducting my bomber stats to work out my fighter stats if you want to split them up... I ask because I notice I am set to zero for everything in the fighter list, would make more sense to be removed from bomber and all stats in fighter... after all you remove dead/captured pilots so makes sense to remove transfers as well. Also was wondering about medals... are you only showing one of each type? So far I have 3 flying crosses but board only shows one, this would happen in real life (So shows that I am a DFC when in fact I am DFC with 2 bars) so would be more acurate if you showed all the medals we recieve. Otherwise site is looking fantastic! Having great fun

Still can't get used to Hugh Luarie putting on that fake American accent for House.... He had the strongest British accent you will ever hear! Might have to find a link for him and stephen fry in Jeeves and Wooster....

People buy paper poppys to wear in their lapel and lay wreaths at war memorials.

Notice on the Nie 11 Bebe that on the british textures the roundel under the wing is correct (blue outer, red inner) but the faint image you see of the roundel through the wing top is reversed as with french planes (red outer, blue inner). Don't know if is on any other planes

So the french roundel is supposed to be the top wing roundel painted over? stop being so good at everything! It makes it very hard to do bug reports!

More random trivia from Stiffy! This comes from the Oldham Advertiser.. "Oldham, comes from Aldhulm, a name which we find recorded in ancient times for our town. So an Scandinavian lord (thats vikings to most people!) called Eald settled on a hill, so roughly means Eald's Hill.

You won't regret it... Firstly even with a copy of CF3 it still works out cheaper that the latest games (about 25/30 pounds tops) Secondly having to put the disk in isnt nearly as bad as Rise of Flight where you have to connect online every time you play offline! I also know it gets to plymouth in 5-6 working days!
