  12. Playstation Portable 2 Revealed by Sony

Speaking of PSP. I was actually thinking of getting one since they have dropped so much in price. But im not really sure about which one to get. The PSP Go or the regular PSP 3000. Is the GO worth the extra buck? Does it have anything better besides no UMDs. Battery life and such??
  13. No problem =) Just so you know, i really suck at explaining and i am in no way educated in photoshop and such. I just like to mess around with it and have been doing so ever since i got a copy for my birthday ages ago. Self taught. Well, lets see. It is so much easier when one does it than actually writing about it. =) First thing i did was create a new layer and a layer mask where i painted on some more chrome on the jet, basicly selecting the layer mask and painting on white. It is important to paint in the layer mask and not the actual layer with the image.. Then i blurred out the the effect with gaussian blur to smoothen it out. I like shiny stuff After that i created a vignette but its not really visible in the pic. I wanted to have a larger spectrum of shades in the distance. I did this by drawing out the vignette hand marquee tool and messing around with the different channel levels. In the end it didnt really matter much since i decided to go with the pop out frame. Then i played around with the channel curves. Making a curve that resembles an S basicly. What the S does is making the collors more vivid and the lightning more realistic according to me. It also creates some of that cartoonish effect with the darker blacks and so on. Since the image at this moment is really collorful i ad a new layer over it and fill it with black. I select HUE in the layers dropdown menu and drop the opacity to 25%. This tones the vivid colors down but keeps some of the cartoonish effect. puhhh, breather After merging all the layers i change the image mode to Lab Color and select the lightning channel. Then i sharpen the shadows, the darks and all the lightning in the image with an unsharp mask. This can create some really amazing visiual effects if used excessively. I change the image mode back to RGB Color. Depending on how i feel about the image i might change the Hue/Saturation levels. I also added some diffused glow and some grain. Now the main image is done. On to the frame, the easiest part of it all. I just made a rectangular shape with the marquee tool and then subracted a smaller rectangle from the shape and filled it with white. I then put some shadow on it and deleted the parts around the image that are not supposed to be inside of the frame. I also manually added shadows under the wing that is outside the frame. Basicly drawing a black line and blurring it out to look similar to the shadows around the frame. That should be everything i think... I dont know if this will be of any help or use to anyone... I warned you, i suck at explaining.
  14. Thank you! But without Gustavs eye for great pics it would not have happend I am sorry, i dont fully understand what you are asking for. What effects are in photoshop or what effects am i using in the picture? I'm not really using A particular effect in the picture. Its a mix of techniques, filters and tweaks i use to get that kind of effect. If you could be more specific maybe I could help you But if you are asking about what effects are available in photoshop.. There are over 100 effects and filters that you can use in plain photoshop. To many to list here. hehe You can also download 1000s for free on the internet.
  15. I saw Gustavs pic on page 124 and man was that MiG looking nice. So i did an edit. I hope you dont mind sir. I take no credit for your work. The pic was taken by Gustav but i just played around with it in photoshop
  16. Thanx for the reply! I played with it some more last night and im actually getting used to it. It feels very natural. Ive been playing around with the settings because as it is right now i have to move my head way to much to actually get some movement. I dont really know what all the switches and stuff do in the software but i am experimenting
  17. So i was watching Jetstream yesterday. Its a canadian documentary that follows 8 pilots that try to make it as fighter pilots. Good show! Anyways, what really got my attention and got me laughing was some of the callsigns some of the pilots got. So i thought why not put all of the ones you guys have heard here. The best ones you've heard, funniest ones, worst ones, you name it Ill start with one from the show. Capt. Yannick "Blow" Jobin Now this one is just spot on!
  18. A quetion to you guys with exerince in the field of jets and how they fly. I just love the look of julhelms little toy. I understand its made up from scratch. So to the question, would it really fly if it was built? Aerodynamicly and all that..
