Ok where is the MissionData001 located?and what do i need to open it?

i have beentrying to fix the afterburner flames on a couple of diffrent aircraft that i downloaded.the mig-31m and the su-35 but am having no success.i even looked in the knowledge base and found the article about converting sf1 aircraft to sf2 and followed it as per the instructions and still can not get any afterburner flame to work.does anybody have any suggestions as what to do.?

starting a new mod folder did the trick.the burner flames are back on the stock aircraft and the mig-31 works also.have not added other aircraft yet but don't think i'll have any problems.thanks to everyone for the help

well checked stock aircraft and the only one that has afterburner is the f-4.f-105,f-15 dont have a flame butt the engine burner lights up,i do have one addon that he afterburner flame works and that is the f-18 superhornet 2.0 .so i trashed the mod folder and will start from scratch.

thanks wrench i will check my stock aircraft (f-4 ,F-15A,etc.)to see if they have afterburner.if not i will get rid of the mod folder and start from scratch and see if that works.will post after i have tried that.

i have tried that with 3 or 4 different afterburner effects (f-15afterburner,eagleburner,afterburner emitter,etc).and also made sure the effects and the TGA files were int he effects folder but still no flame.

hello everyone first time on these forums and i have a question.does sf2 save your custom controls to a file.and if it does can you save this file to be your default control settings.i know in il-2 1946 you can rename your custom controls you've set up for your controller to be your default conrols in case something happens and you have to set everything back to your new default settings?

i am installing NF4+ in SF2E and i am a bit confused.when installing NF4aircraft1 do i put the objects folder and its content into the SF2E folder so i will have 2 objects folders or do i take the content from the aircraft folder and put it in the obects/aircraft f folder with the other aircraft?

got it to work .thanks to everyone for thier help.now any ideas on why the aircraft have no afterburner flame.

i know how to copy and paste thank you very much!!!!!i did it exactly like you said and it does not ask me to overwrite it just sticks the NF4 objects folder inside the SF2E objects folder.

put what in the objects/aircraft folder? the objects folder from the NF4aircraft1 folder or the aircraft folder from the NF4 objects folder or the aircraft themselves in the NF4 objects/aircraft folder?the readme says to put the contents of the NF4aircraft1 folder in the objects folder of SF2E mod folder. well the NF4aircraft1 folder has an objects folder with an aircraft folder in that and aircraft in the aircraft folder which one am i suppose to put in the SF2E mods object folder. if i do it like the readme says i willhave an objects folder inside the SF2E mods object folder.

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR REPLIES.I BOUGHT THIS SIM IN OCTOBER 2009 AND PLAYED IT FOR AHWILE.THEN LIFE CHANGES GOT IN THE WAY (MOVING ,NEW COMPUTER YOU KNOW HOW IT IS).JUST CAME BACK TO IT SO THATS WHY I WAS CURIOUS TO KNOW IF I HAD TO PATCH ALL THE WAY UP TO CURRENT PATCH.I HAVE ALREADY INSTALLED JUN2009B PATCH.IF WHAT WRENCH SAYS IS TRUE I CAN JUST INSTALL THE LATEST PATCH AND IT SHOULD INCLUDE EVERYTHING UP TO NOW(I THINK THATS WHAT CUMULATIVE MEANS).

hey everyone im new to this forum and forums in general so if im doin somewthing wrong please tel me. i'll start with this . i downloaded sf2 europe and want to add nf4+ to it . i downloaded the nf4 files and extracted them with 7z now the files are on my desktop.the problem is when i follow the insructions to find c:\users\username\saved games\thirdwire\strike fighter my game is not in that area mine is in program files under thirdwire file.i tried dragging and dropping the nf4 files into the correct files in sf2 but when i start the game i dont have anything new.i am a total novice at modding games so i must sound like a total moron. but i need some kind of step by step instructions because i dont have a clue
