Deleted all Falklands 82 installations. Reinstalled all as per instructions Everything now back to normal, Thank you all for your time.

I've been playing Falklands 82, based on the latest downloaded SF2, for the past month. I was so impressed with SF2 and Falklands 82, that I downloaded and installed the current SF2 Israel. Now, Falklands 82 will not load. What do I do?

No problems with me either. Verdun, Cambrai and Flanders CIIIs all have long take off runs, and struggle to achieve height. It's quite heart stopping at times, and adds to overall effect. I use FEG on XP SP3.

Where can I download the SE5 engine sounds that have been identified in the data ini files?

We are all waiting on you and other modders Quack. I've modded FE substantially, but still can't get enough. ICE is unavailable in UK, so can't comment. It will take something really special to drag me away from my FE. One simple change I made was to reduce gunfire ranges, and what a difference that made.

Marvellous skins Quack, with the added bonus of mid period markings. Mustn't forget Blue nose SE5 from Firecage. Another beauty. You skinners make First Eagles a joy to play.

Any progress on the skins Quack? Have used your excellent skins for other aircraft, and am really looking forward to using these.

I am not a serious modder, but I do like to fine tune so that I get a realistic sim with realistic visuals. I use Panama Red realistic sky mod August 2009, FEG, Nov 2008. Clear sky set in [weather] of load mission (done by others) shows a beautiful blue sky, with wispy clouds and no horizontal band, contary to the plain two colour band in create mission. This led me to experiment within extracted Enviroment System ini ( extracted from Flight Folder ) by altering settings for [cloudsclear], and this resulted in a sky similar to that in load mission. On restarting my pc, however, clear sky reverts to an ugly two colour horizontal band, even though my Enviroment System ini settings stay as per my amendments. What am I missing as regards maybe duplicating my Enviroment System ini settings elsewhere within the program? Am I trying to be too technical, and touching on things that should be left alone? .

I've used the excellent IIIa skins for Jasta 5, 10, 11, 18 & 40s. I can now include IIIa with D5 within these Jastas. As regards the actual aircraft - I registered first with A Team Skunkworks, then sent an e mail to Capun, in accordance with Skunkworks instructions, requesting permission to download WW1 aircraft. Permission was given within 2 days, and I've now downloaded quite a few extra aircraft, and updated their data ini's with Peter01 latest.

When ROF was released, I refrained from using it due to internet connection being required whilst playing. My experience has been that internet connection requires an active virus checking program, which in turn, affects simulation performance. ( I use a dedicated pc for simulations, and a laptop for internet work ) What to do? I took the path of updating and modding FE1. I used the original game, and added expansion pack 1 and Nov 2008 patch ( both downloaded from Third Wire ). Over the course of the last few months, I then added (all from CA downloads section): Flanders terrain(Edward) Verdun HiRes tiles (Max188) Replacement gun sounds and engine sounds Smoke effects(Laton) Realistic sky(Panama red) Sf Project 1 extract utility for editing data files Seasonal terrain for Flanders and Cambrai(Tuma) White tracer(Tuma) Add on aircraft and skins too numerous to list Flight models and game files(Peter01) With advice and guidance gleaned from searches within the CA forum, and with specific NVidia control panel adjustments and in game adjustments, I now have a first class WW1 flight simulation. Single missions are a joy to behold. Thank you to all you modders - those I've named and those unnamed. Your time, dedication and effort is truly inspirational and worthwhile.

Where can I download from, as the link given doesn't work, and this download isn't, as yet, in the download section?

1 - Is there a single mission building facility whereby a mission can be created (and saved), and where the opposition numbers and types can be specified. 2 - Can add on aircraft be incorporated into game campaigns either as flyable or non flyable aircraft, eg. RFC N27 & Hannover CL2 into Cambrai 1917.

To add a thread to this topic : First Eagles add on aircraft are excellent, and easy to download and install from Combat Ace. Aircraft such as DH4 and Bristol f2b, which are needed for add on campaigns, are only available from Skunkworks, and are impossible to download. Their download page requires connection to be in an unsecure manner[?], and even then, download is not guaranteed. Is there any other way of obtaining add on aircraft such as DH4 and Bristol f2b?
