I have been tracking this game since it was supposed to come out in 2006!!!! There are so many rumors about it. Some say it is more realistic than IL-2 1946, and some say it's gash for realism. You can believe what you want, but since I'm a huge IL-2 fan I'm going to buy it regardless. Apparently Oleg, the game creator said his PC was not powerful enough to run the game! I just hope it won't be a CPU hog like IL-2 and FSX were! Lets just hope that it will be released in the next 10 years or so! liamp51

Hi all, I'm sorry if this question has already been answered, but I have to go to bed and can't look right now! I just got Windows Seven Pro 64bit for Christmas and am going to be installing it over my current Windows XP Pro 64bit OS. I was wondering if I'll get a noticeable increase in performance using DX10 or 11 with Win 7 Pro, since SF2 was built for DX10. Here are my computer specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 8400 at 3.61Ghz Nvidia GTX 260 896MB memory Windows XP Professional Samsung SyncMaster 2233SW 1920-1080 Res monitor. My GPU was built for DX10 and using it with DX9 seems to be slowing it down currently so I am upgrading. If you guys can give me any pointers/advise for SF2 in Win 7 I would really appreciate that! Hi all, I was wondering if there is any way to have DX10 run on Windows XP. I have all SF2 titles and addon packs merged into one install, but get pretty bad FPS over Hanoi, Haiphong and other areas of North Vietnam. It's quite irritating because SF2V is the only part of the sim that I get really bad FPS on(25 or lower!). I don't think it's possible without upgrading to Win7 which I can't do right now due to it's price. If not, then I guess I'll just have to keep saving my pennies! H all, I have just started playing and F-111 campaign in SF2:V with the ground war expansion pack but have run into a snag. When I get over the target(IE: Hanoi, Hai Phong ect.) with everything in the world firing at me I get about 4FPS! Over most other parts of the map, I get 50-60 plus! Im not sure if its all the flack causing it or what, but I seem to get better frames over Berlin and such in SF2E. Interestingly enough, Im doing the F-111 Linebacker II campaign! That must be my problem because on every other campaign, I get very good FPS. Should I get rid of the B-52 strikes in Linebacker II? Thanks! liamp51

I forgot to mention that I am using XP Professional with DX9. Thats why it says Im forcing DX9.

Thanks so much! I think Ill stick to IL-2 1946 for prop stuff for now, but that is showing its age to and doesn't have a dynamic atmosphere like SF2 and such. If Storm of War:Battle of Britain ever comes out then that will be the ultimate WWII flight sim. Thanks! liamp51

Hi all, I have been instaling mods and I noticed that sometimes after the mission loads to 100% The computer crashes to the blue screen error. The only way to get out of that is to hold down the power button to shut the computer down. It's happened a couple of times now. I am running Strike Fighters 2 Israel and Windows XP Professional. I don't think it's mods because it happened in the Mirage III also. It also seems to hapen after I 've been playing for a while and then load a new mission. Thanks, liamp51

Hi again, Thank you so much for all your help installing new aircraft. I was looking and is possible that you could use the mig-21 cockpit pack for Wings Over Israel and use it in Strike Fighters2 Israel? Can you do this with other aircraft as well? I downloaded an A-6 intruder for Strike Fighters2 Vietnam and put in my Strike Fighters2 Israel aircraft folder and it showed up in game but once it loaded to 100% the game crashed to the "Blue Screen" error. Do the aircraft have to be for Strike Fighters2 Israel to work? Thanks, liamp51

Well I downloaded the WOI Mig-21 pack. It works perfectly except for one thing. The aircraft don't have any skins! They appear white all over! When I open up the folder they're in the Camo folders are there but the aircraft don't have any skins! Please help Me! Thanks, liamp51
