Yeah, i read on the FF forum that it runs best on EX. Vista and 7 have issues. I went to 7 to play a game, I'm not going back to XP for another when i have AF working. Im trying open Falcon now and seeing what that will turn out to be.

I have seen in Falcon Allied force that rendering in T&L HAL mode messes things up and crashes the game so i render in HAL. In Free Falcon the only option is T&L HAL and it is causing problems. Anyone know of a way to add HAL to the list or a way to get it to work. Thanks, -Happy Hunting.

Yep That was the problem. I did more flights with that set up and normal set ups. I guess i need to trust my wingmen more to hit the right targets and not try to take all the bombs myself. Take two wing takes and 6 bombs instead of 9 bombs.

Yes, I am revering to the Allied Force PDF manual. I did check out the link before posting this topic and i need the English manual. Weird that they don't have that one available for download. I have the original spiral bound manual from Falcon 4.0. I guess most of it is the same, but i would like the manual for Allied Force as it will be more accurate to the game. And it is easier to navigate the PDF. I checked the docs folder and after reading each title, i found it. For some reason the installer didn't put the shortcut one the desktop as it usually does.

For some reason when i installed Falcon, i didn't get the .pdf manual with it. I tried reinstalling and looking all over the web for it. Can some one send me a link to download it or add the .pdf as a downloadable file here so i can get a copy. Thanks, -Happy Hunting

Now that i think about it, i think this only happened when i had one 370 lbs fuel tank on the wing instead of the standard two. Kind of a weird set up, but if thats what caused it, then i guess i know for later.

Thanks for the help guys. I will try those ideas, however on my last mission i didn't have this problem and i did ramp start. Other times is did Taxi and didn't need to worry about starting the plane and this happened. I will try to get a screen shot next time it happens.

Cant post a screen shot because i already uploaded my quota. I hear the warning town followed by the word warning, Then FUEL flashes across my HUD. I hut the warn reset switch and when i got back to full throttle and back down again, it goes off. I can go from 90% to 100% and back to 90% and it goes off.

My Fuel Warning keeps going off in flight. I'm not low on fuel or even under half fuel. The warning goes off right after take off in most cases. I have noticed that it goes off when the afterburner goes out. It is like it is warning me that my fuel flow have gone down, which i know, i throttled down. This happened in any flight in any F-16 if i do Ramp start or taxi. Any Ideas?

With Hamachi you have to forward ports in your router settings. I use Hamachi with a friend of mine and it works great. you need to forward ports 2934 and 2935 UDP if you are behind a NAT router - how you do that depends on your router etc

If you cant remember the key stroke there is another way. you have your gear lever and you get no reaction from your gear, go to the lower left of the screen just below the canopy lever. this is a pull lever that unlocks the gear and in goes to the down position, Once pulled, the gear can not be put back up so be sure you are ready for it. I had this same problem. Check out the graphics issues topic, the answer is there. Plus here it a pic of what i did to fix it.

I have used it before, but never saw a real use for it. It is just another view for me. In order to get any real information from it, you have to zoom out so far that you loose all your detail and that make the whole thing sort of pointless so I never use it.

Thanks Hag, I did get the game to run correctly with out the need of creating the BFOps.cfg. I had installed it in my own location instead of default. I have used both HAL and T&L HAL with no issues or any noticeable issues, but never the less I will stick to HAL. Thanks

With those settings i cant tell a difference for XP to win 7. I'm just glad to be back in the air. One other issues I am having however is in Free Falcon 5.0 and 5.3. It did have the same issues as Allied force, but the same solution fixed that, now FF5 is not loading right in game. I can see the runway, but the ground is loading splash screen and the sky is a blue, purple, and yellow puzzle. I can only see it for 5 seconds and the game crashes. I don't mind because i have Allied Force working again, but would still be nice to fix to see if it is any more stable on Win 7 than XP. Odd thing is that my friend and wingman has win 7 and never had any of these problems with Allied Force or FF5. Just a thing to ponder.

I can agree with everything said here. I wanted sim that looked better, but Free Falcon 5.0 and Open Falcon just were not reliable at all. Falcon 4.0 allied force is the stable sim i have seen and it is still just as fun. Free Falcon isnt a mod, you can download, install, and play without Allied Force. But good luck doing more than one mission in a row, or a complete one at that. Falcon 4 Allied force is the best for consistency.

Great news. I am back in the air. Thank you JediMaster for telling me to disable the FSAA Filter on my video card. Fixed the problem and i can fly with the 1.0.13 patch. For those of you who dont know, FSAA stands for Full Screen Anti Aliasing.In the nVidia setup you set the Anti Aliasing mode to :Application controlled. Everything works fine. Thank you everyone for your help. Here is an image of what you need to do if you have a nvidia Graphics card.

Cool thanks, i will try that now. I just tried a full un-install and reinstall and did not install the patch. I played it in v. 1.0.0. It worked fine. 1.0.13 gave me issues.

Thanks. The card i have is only DirectX 10. I know Falcon works with Win 7 because i have a friend who lays the game just fine on 7. I can check my drivers again, but im play FSX and other games just fine. Falcon is the only one with issues.

I dont know of any online servers, but i have a few local friends that i play with. We use a program called Hamatichi (or something like that) and connect on that server, then after forwarding some ports on our routers, we can play on a LAN game oner the internet. It works very well. Just an idea.

Here is another picture of the glitch. When in the Load out screen or Tactical reference page, the planes leave trails behind. I know something is not right.

I have played Falcon Allied Force for a long time on Win XP and everything worked great. I recently upgraded to Win 7 and now the plane in un-flyable. I can load the game and use the menus just like normal; However Tactical reference and the load out screens have bad glitches. Here are some screen shots of what i see. The problem continues in flight. Scene i upgraded to win 7 I haven't flown the F-16. The game run at less than .5 Frames per sec I have tried 1) Re installing Falcon AF. No good, same issues 2) Downloading Free Falcon 5.0. Same issue I didn't change any hardware, just went to Win 7 so i know i can run the game properly. But if there are any settings i can change, let me know. I have a Nvidea 8600gts with up to date drivers Any Idea's?
