  1. I sorted out some of the areas by what you said capun, by welding them together. I had tried it before but it hadn't worked for me, I later realised that this was due to the small default threshold distance of the weld function. The reason that I have so many vertexes that are not needed is because I have made a lot of the ramp areas and taxiways out of many plane meshes. Below is a render of how far I have got and also a wireframe. I haven't converted it to editable poly mode yet, was in a rush when I took the shots:
  2. I have it saved on my pc, if you like I can send it to you via email.
  3. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...mp;showfile=917 Here you go, happy bombing!
  4. Sundowner has done a number of high rez 2048x2048 F-4 skins that are available in the download section here at CA. Perhaps if you got his permission he would let you use it as a base for what you want to do?
  5. SayWhat, there are templates right here at CA in the download section for the F-16, which can be used to make an F-2 skin. Templates are under the skins section of downloads.
  6. Tomcats on the prowl

    Turning into target
  7. If you go to this webpage here: http://home.att.net/~r.lee.sullivan/blackhawk-islandSF.html There is an add-on to fly as a Mig pilot for the Paran forces.
  8. Once you have acquired any target in the game, hit the "F4" key and that should give you an in cockpit view looking at the target.
  9. If you go into the Mod section of the SFP1/WOV/WOE forum here at combatace, and then click on the sticky at the top concerning wpnssgt's WIP list you will be able to see the progress of the F-22 besides many other aircraft that are in the making.
  10. B-2

Hey Gerald, could you list what specific details need to be finished on the model and what kind of polycount there is so far? I've been playing with 3D studio max for a couple to few months and I might be able to do a few things with it. I'd probably need some help with building small details like bomb bays, gear etc.
  11. Hey Gerald14 don't mean to be rude, how is your B2 coming along? the thumb looks pretty promising!
  12. Hey Streakeagle, I've got a bit of an OT question for ya. At the end of July I'm off to Florida for 3 weeks, going to Orlanda for the first two, and then West Palm Beach for the last. What my question is, do you know of perhaps any good aircraft museums in the area or maybe an airshows on at that time? Since I see you live in Tampa which isn't too far away, I thought you may have a good idea of the area :) Any info greatly appreciated :) Jim
  13. Hey guys thanks for the replies!!!!! Apologies for not getting back to you, been running around like a blue arsed fly trying to get everything ready. I'm off tomorrow for my hols, and hopefully I'll be able to make it to some of the places you've mentioned :) If there's a chance I'll be in your area streakeagle, I'll give ya a buzz on a pm :)
  14. Started this plane this afternoon and have gotten relatively far with it. about 7 and bit thousand polys so far, so have got a few to dabble with. You may be thinking its a P-51, but its not, its a British little known look-a-like from WW2. The company that made it aren't famous for making planes but they sure are for something else vital to a plane Also, Nimrod is still WIP and much on the agenda
  15. Buff and Wrench you'e bang on target Martin Baker Mb.5 it is. And hell yeah, if I can pull this off it'll be great fun as a what-if add-on lol. Sky Captain you're quite correct, it does look a lot like the P-51, even had the same big airscoop underneath and skinny fuselage. Had quite a different cockpit as well which I don't recall seeing on any fighter aircraft since.....
  16. No one here has an obligation to help you. However due to the very nice nature of the people that post here, anyone who will know how to solve a problem will 99% give their advice which will hopefully help your problem out. Should that not tell you anyone who knows how to solve your problem or maybe could help with your problem has not seen your post yet. You can pretty much be guarenteed however that when someone in the know comes across it, they will probably try to help you out.
  17. Sounds like you know you're stuff when it comes to 3D modelling :) The best of luck to ya! Also, the eurofighter is in the works from marcfighter too. I don't know if you've heard of this website, but its not too bad for blueprints of planes.... http://www.airwar.ru/indexe.html Its got an awful lot of 3 views there, very high rez for nearly all of them. By the way, welcome aboard
  18. Got round to trying to make a bird this afternoon... The nose is pretty fudged but its my first attempt. Any of you guess what it'll turn out to be? :)
  19. Awesome skins dude! Just paid a little visit, gonna get some goods in a mo :) Keep it up Paul and HrntFixr!
  20. Always the joker! That's it dude, hit a man where it hurts
  21. Cool stuff Buff, thanks for the update :) I've heard that the RCS of an aircraft in SFP1 is just a simple one line entry in the data.ini but does anyone know where exactly it is and what the command is? Just curious for messing around with some stuff :) Thanks
  22. Isn't there a helicopter as a ground object in JSF_Aggie's DBS 72 campaign? Could be worth asking him about it.
  23. Its definitely FS2004, that carrier is just off the west coast of america. San Diego maybe?
