  1. Aha oky doke Ghostrider. Also, just to note, he's got an Su-33 in WIP too. I believe called the Sea Flanker?
  2. Model is complete now, just need to texture and place the objects around the base: In game temporary render:
  3. The Su-17 has been done by ArmourDave and is here at CA, its just a case of going through the downloads. The Su-30 is also in WIP by marcfighter. There are quite a few posts over at SimHQ showing his progress on the flankers but his site is down at the moment so you won't be able to see the screens.
  4. I believe that there is a MiG-28 pilot's skin over at C5. When you get to the main page, just click on Pilots and it will be there
  5. MKSheppard, this mod by Fubar512 should be able to help you with the problem concerning aircraft not being able to attack shipping. The problem is that the stock ships do not give off a radar emitter. This small mod gives them one so that they can be targeted and attacked. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...p;showfile=2025
  6. The blue aggressor skin you downloaded here at CA is for an older version of the F-5E. Therefore that skin won't be able to work with the F-5E you downloaded from C5. There is a batch of aggressor skins here at CA for the new tiger also in the F-5 skins download section... http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...p;showfile=1779
  7. Awesome stuff Killerbee! Looking forward to this one!
  8. This is going to sound probably a stupid question to the learned 3D modellers in the community but its something I haven't figured out yet in max. When using the slice plane tool to make vertexes across a mesh, I sometimes get vertexes that I don't need or want. The picture below hopefully illustrates this: My question is how do I "weld" the vertexes I don't want back into the mesh? Thanks very much, Jim
  9. I sorted out some of the areas by what you said capun, by welding them together. I had tried it before but it hadn't worked for me, I later realised that this was due to the small default threshold distance of the weld function. The reason that I have so many vertexes that are not needed is because I have made a lot of the ramp areas and taxiways out of many plane meshes. Below is a render of how far I have got and also a wireframe. I haven't converted it to editable poly mode yet, was in a rush when I took the shots:
  10. I have it saved on my pc, if you like I can send it to you via email.
  11. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...mp;showfile=917 Here you go, happy bombing!
  12. Sundowner has done a number of high rez 2048x2048 F-4 skins that are available in the download section here at CA. Perhaps if you got his permission he would let you use it as a base for what you want to do?
  13. SayWhat, there are templates right here at CA in the download section for the F-16, which can be used to make an F-2 skin. Templates are under the skins section of downloads.
  14. Tomcats on the prowl

    Turning into target
  15. If you go to this webpage here: http://home.att.net/~r.lee.sullivan/blackhawk-islandSF.html There is an add-on to fly as a Mig pilot for the Paran forces.
  16. Once you have acquired any target in the game, hit the "F4" key and that should give you an in cockpit view looking at the target.
  17. If you go into the Mod section of the SFP1/WOV/WOE forum here at combatace, and then click on the sticky at the top concerning wpnssgt's WIP list you will be able to see the progress of the F-22 besides many other aircraft that are in the making.
  18. B-2

Hey Gerald, could you list what specific details need to be finished on the model and what kind of polycount there is so far? I've been playing with 3D studio max for a couple to few months and I might be able to do a few things with it. I'd probably need some help with building small details like bomb bays, gear etc.
  19. Hey Gerald14 don't mean to be rude, how is your B2 coming along? the thumb looks pretty promising!
  20. Hey Streakeagle, I've got a bit of an OT question for ya. At the end of July I'm off to Florida for 3 weeks, going to Orlanda for the first two, and then West Palm Beach for the last. What my question is, do you know of perhaps any good aircraft museums in the area or maybe an airshows on at that time? Since I see you live in Tampa which isn't too far away, I thought you may have a good idea of the area :) Any info greatly appreciated :) Jim
  21. Hey guys thanks for the replies!!!!! Apologies for not getting back to you, been running around like a blue arsed fly trying to get everything ready. I'm off tomorrow for my hols, and hopefully I'll be able to make it to some of the places you've mentioned :) If there's a chance I'll be in your area streakeagle, I'll give ya a buzz on a pm :)
  22. Started this plane this afternoon and have gotten relatively far with it. about 7 and bit thousand polys so far, so have got a few to dabble with. You may be thinking its a P-51, but its not, its a British little known look-a-like from WW2. The company that made it aren't famous for making planes but they sure are for something else vital to a plane Also, Nimrod is still WIP and much on the agenda
  23. Buff and Wrench you'e bang on target Martin Baker Mb.5 it is. And hell yeah, if I can pull this off it'll be great fun as a what-if add-on lol. Sky Captain you're quite correct, it does look a lot like the P-51, even had the same big airscoop underneath and skinny fuselage. Had quite a different cockpit as well which I don't recall seeing on any fighter aircraft since.....
