I'm pretty sure they never go with '00'. Though if you really want to know, you can dig out the FAR/AIM :)
-
Just wondering, did you guys where parachutes? I would assume no, but I've been wrong before.
-
Wrong incident. Haven't seen anything about the current missing crewmember.

There are 17 rivets missing in the starboard intake, and 3 on the port. J/K! Looking awesome! -
The T-39 is used to train NFO's for fleet a/c since they aren't the one's flying. No ejection system is provided (as previously mentioned). Courtesy of USN

Guys, let's take it easy with our theories as to why this accident happened. Let it rest for a while. -
Can't believe they did this...again. Also, if they are shooting first, then they are not suspected pirates, they ARE pirates! Argh!

Condolences to the families, and a salute to those that were lost.

take a C-17 flight in afghnistan
DWCAce replied to ONETINSOLDIER's topic in Military and General Aviation
I think it's because of the difference in the HUD refresh rate, and the video capture rate. -
Over a the F-14 Association it was posted that the fleet has called off the search, and has declared the missing as 'deceased'.
-
The AWG-9 on the F-14 could track 24 targets, and lock up the 6 most threatening and launch AIM-54s against them, and that's with 1970's technology. Now, add in modern, high speed digital processing, and you could very easily target the threats and ripple fire against them. Plus the range of the AIM-120D is touted as being near that of the AIM-54.

Don't get my hopes up.

FAC Aircraft
DWCAce replied to RAVEN's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
The problem with that is that only #2 can use smart weapons (sometimes), and the rest go willy nilly on their own. But sometimes ya luck out -
FAC Aircraft
DWCAce replied to RAVEN's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
That would be a great mission for me, I can't hit crap w/o LGB's or nukes Just pickle of some Willie Pete, and talk 'em on to the target. -
Can anybody tell me why Hueys have doors
DWCAce replied to charlielima's topic in Military and General Aviation
They probably took the doors off of the H-34's to save weight. The Hueys have more power (just a guess [radial engine vs. gas turbine] )
