  1. De-icing @ KMHT

I wish I went down there, but time wasn't on my side. They have the forced hot air on their cabs, and it's loud! I could hear it all the way across the ramp! Every once in awhile they call us down for an assist, if I get down there, I'll take some shots! (don't worry, I don't photo too much down @ Brown, unless it's something neat, like a Boeing, or a DC-8).
  2. Hey, it's like the bumper sticker says, "With enough thrust, lift is irrelavent!". You are DA Bomb(er man)! Good work!
  3. Oh, the indignity!

He'll probably go after the ski/boot/binding company too!
  4. My KLu adventure

Glad to hear that you're finally coming over! If ya don't mind, PM me your flight #, I'll probably be bored and want to track it! :)
  5. Damn she's lookin' fine! I like the older MAC scheme over the European One.
  6. Don't forget McGuire in NJ (for the C-141 that's coming out), F-4's & thuds flew from there as well (and of course -135's). Glad Pease made it onto the list. Also, I'd add NAS Quonset in RI, and Bangor and Loring AFB ME
  7. Very nice!. I've got one of the flight manuals if ya need info :)
  8. I think the service might of given him the boot for hanging out for that known-slacker 'Woodstock'
  9. Look what i got! ;)

I think that fits the definition of outdoor 'toy'. Be Safe!

No F-14's under my tree :(
  15. My Grandfather has passed.....

I'm sorry for your loss. Mom's dad passed away this past January. He was a fellow navy type from WWII, though he had it a bit easier as he was stationed in Dunkeswell England. He was a parachute rigger (and sometimes made local non-combat jumps.... i guess that the ultimate form of QC...) for the Navy Liberator units flying ASW patrols. Like your grandfather, he was a great man (always likened him to John Wayne). Anyways, sorry to steal your thunder..... S!
  16. Americas Migs

The past two issues of (Aircraft Illustrated I believe) had excerpts from this book, plus a promo code that you can enter on the website for a discount. I ended up buying the book @ Borders since I'm involved in their program (and I had a nice coupon too). Haven't read the book yet, but am looking foward to it.
  17. What a load of frickin BS.....
  18. Lets see how far we've come

Julhelm, ya can't cut down what's not there! (I don't have the numbers, but the defense budget is a mere shadow of what it should be). I say we should spend more on space and other R&D than foreign aid! ...now there's a can of worms!
  19. Amazing little machine

I saw an article about these a few years ago. Pretty neat to see one in action! Check out the simulator here: http://www.vcalc.net/cu.htm#veesim
