  1. I still think it's a good idea...though as usual participation tends to lack... not sure why...
  2. Is there an updated target.ini that I should be using?
  3. Do fighters really need afterburners to take-off?

Some of the comments on this video will help: Having spoken to the pilot on several occasions (he'd stop into my airport for the weekend every now and then with an a/c from NAS Oceana), for that t/o (and for most of them), they are required to use AB for safety considerations.
  4. Didn't know it would take that LITTLE runway to get airborne (for that kind of load). Thanks for sharing! :)
  5. TO: JFC SHAPE FROM: 389TH FS 366TH WING USAF SUBJECT: STATUS REPORT TIME/DATE: 2030 27 NOVEMBER 2011 389TH FS WILL DEPLOY TO THE BAGHDAD AREA. PRIMARY BASE WILL BE BAGHDAD INTL WITH FORWARD BASING AS REQUIRED TO SUPPORT OPERATIONS
  6. 389th FS completed a scouting flight for a base. Will be basing at Baghdad Int'l for now. Our AOR will be the north, with a secondary focus on guarding the Baghdad Nuclear Plant.
  7. Sounds good. I'll find a suitable field and take squad (or det) of F-15Es in.
  8. Kirkuk in the North, or Rasheed or Kut Al Hayy AB in the Central Region would look pretty empty. Wouldn't mind setting up shop with some F-15E's or Bones. Just let me know what's needed.
  9. Performed an AOR FAMFLIGHT in an F-15E on loan from Mountain Home AFB. Pretty sure nothing I did counts since I'm not assigned anywhere. Was good to check out the scenery though.
  10. Good find! Hey Mytai, good to hear from ya!
  11. I'm ready to go in whichever a/c is needed. Wouldn't mind assisting Eric or Storm.
  12. No worries, I forgot that I could just Alt-D and toggle through it. I'm starting some FAM flights in the AOR, just to get back into the game. Let me know if there's any oddball sorties people need.
  13. Just got it all installed, and was about to do an AOR fam flight. Is the hud/debug data supposed to be shown?
  14. I'm going to try and get my install set tonight. I'll be gone the next few days for family matters, but hopefully I can start missions this weekend \
  15. Despite being on 'leave' I'm still interested in this.
  16. Just saw that Dave's waiting to get everything finalized before he uploads anything more. Until then I'll just keep getting up to speed with SF2. Also, I'll check out Blue's OOB and see if there's anyway I can help there.
  17. Ugh, must of missed this too, but which install are we basing this off of?
  18. Yes, Iam challenged! Are these the correct dl's?
  19. Saw the links, thought those were for development only. Just saw some of the DL's in the main section too
  20. Sad but true. I'll see if I can get this thing setup this weekend. Is there s separate folder in the downloads section?
  21. I just found this thread, and it's friggin' AWESOME! Sorry, been out of the loop for awhile, family, work, etc. I'd like to fly F-14's (no surprise there), but I'll take whatever missions A/C come my way (transport, test, recce, etc.), HELL, I'll even drive a fuel truck and deice to get our missions out! One mission a week is about what I can do given the family schedule. I'll be checking back! Jon
  22. F-15E Strike Eagle Cockpit

Looks like it's just for series 1?
  23. From AvWeb's AvFlash Navy's X-47B Drone Flies Gear Up The Navy's project to develop a tailless drone that can take off and land from ships at sea reached a milestone recently when the X-47B test aircraft retracted its landing gear and flew in cruise configuration for the first time. The successful test took place at Edwards Air Force Base in California on September 30, the Navy said this week. "Reaching this critical test point demonstrates the growing maturity of the air system, and its readiness to move to the next phase of flight testing," said Janis Pamiljans, program manager for Northrop Grumman. The project team aims to complete take-offs and landings from an aircraft carrier in 2013. The recent flight was part of an ongoing envelope expansion program for the first of two X-47B aircraft produced by Northrop Grumman for the Navy's Unmanned Combat Air System Carrier Demonstration program. Envelope expansion flights are used to demonstrate aircraft performance under a variety of altitude, speed and fuel load conditions, according to Northrop Grumman's news release.
