  1. An F-105D Thunderchief (Thud) drops Mk82 500lb bombs on a target near Hanoi during the early stages of Operation Rolling Thunder in 1965. F-105s suffered heavy losses to AAA and SAM activity during the operation. With tremendous payload capabilities, Thuds were numerically the most important USAF aircraft during the first 3 years of the conflict. I do get carried away, don't I. =) S!
  2. Lookin GOOD! What key will operate the folding wings? S!
  3. MORE! MORE! MORE! North American F-100D Super Saber of the 416thTFS/37th TFW at Phu Cat airbase, Republic of Vietnam. Taken shortly before supporting troops in the La Trang valley, this F-100D was lost to AAA fire. The pilot ejected and was later rescued by SAR patrols. F-100D pilot runs through his takeoff checklist. Super Sabers based at Tan Son Nhut airbase in 1965, did not recieve their tactical camouflage until losses to anti-aircraft fire sent all aircraft scurrying to the paint shops. S!
  4. Thanks! It was clearly not my original idea, it's just that the planes in Strike Fighters look so damn good in black and white. :D If anyone has any screens they would like for me to "edit" for any purpose, or has any others they have edited, please post them here or send them to me! I'd like to do some "authentic feel" desktops but I cant figure out how to get rid of the speed bar text at the bottom left on the original screen shots. I would just up the resolution, but I am limited by this monitor to 1024X768, which is what I normally use in windows. Please send me screenshots from high end systems so they can look REALLY great! email me @sithmaster169@yahoo.com ICQ - 120399956 S!
  5. A Navy F-4B from VF-111, fires an AIM-9B sidewinder missile somewhere off the coast of North Vietnam. Photo taken July 7, 1968. Another F-4B from VF-111, Air Wing Ten, crosses the fantail of USS Intrepid recovering from a strike on suspected truck parks. A Navy A-1 Skyraider over southern Laos begins it's roll into target, in support of SAR operations to recover a downed F-4 pilot and WSO. A-1 Skyraider on egress from CAS mission north of Chu-Lai Army base, 1969. All in good fun. You all can tell how bored I am. LOL Just cant wait for service pack 2!

  9. I was born in Louisiana and I must say its nice to see a coonass online. Especially when it's a "C" model. Great skin! I will be downloading this one when its available. S!
  10. Wow COOL! Hey how did you get that cargo ship to look all beat up and stuff? Mine dont do that I dont think. S!
  11. No there was not a viewlist.ini file in the flight directory. It was still in the CAB file, I had not extracted them all. I will try putting the file in there again (your file). But Im almost positive the one in there is the one that came with the zip file. Will try again. S!
  12. Ok I put the viewlist.ini file in the FLIGHT directory, and I know it over-rides the one in the cab file, but my fly-by looks the same and no zoom control. Any ideas??? S!
  13. I dont know if I understand completely.. I added those entries to the enviorment file, but I did not see them already in there? In fact I didnt see anything similar at all in that file. It was extracted in the Flight folder. Is this correct? I just added those entries to the bottom of the file. Any help is welcome. Thanks. S!
  14. Is that velvet??? Thats NIIIIIIIICE!!!!! No seriously... outstanding work on that Starfighter. Can't wait to chip the paint!
  15. Im all for that! Would teach you to bring that bird in easy! Maybe weight (fuel, remaining ordinance) could also play a factor in gear durability? I also wish the engine smoke didnt stay visible as much after you land. I dont see it before takeoff. S!
  16. I just downloaded it, and am about to apply it and test it. This is going to be good. :D Thanks again Volks!!!!!!! Dont stop here! :)
  17. Also, check to make sure there is not a subdirectory under the objects/aircraft/F-86 directory.. and if there is, move the files from the sub dir to the first F-86 directory... just select all and cut and paste them into objects/aircraft/F-86 directory... A few people I know had this problem and that seemed to work for them.
  18. That is one beautiful bird! When will it be available?
  19. All I wanna know is............ WHEN?!?!?!? :D :D Looks VERY nice!!!!!!!!!!! Is anyone planning to do an F-101 Voodoo? Maybe an SR-71 or U-2?
  20. How many people think we are ever going to see this sim on the shelves? I know software development takes quite a while, and Wagner wants it to be perfect. But man could carve a thousand years and still not achieve perfection. :( I hope it didnt get lost in the same black hole void the Strike Fighters service pack 2 got lost in...........
  21. LOMAC

Yeah I had thought about comparing the two (Lomac and Jane's A-10). It would be a real shame.. Myself and others I know personally have been following Lomac's development since the very first screens were released YEARS ago. There are some very impatient people out there at this point, myself included.
