  1. I've been silly

Well, I didn't notice that before, Olham. Thank you. tranquillo the dumbnut found his file but it's good to know that if ever I do something that dense again there is a Master Copy. Cheers, Olham
  2. Elderflowers smell awful but make great refreshing cordial. The berries taste disgusting but make good wine. Hope that helps, Olham.
  3. I'm like that, Olham. I find that i put myself at risk far too much, taking silly chances and this is only exacerbated when I see one of my wingmen getting hit. When I see that I tend to go ballistic and go all out to shoot the perpetrator down with little concern for my own safety. If I'm in a furball and don't notice any of my wingmen suffering then I'm fine - quite calm about the whole thing - and only mutter obscenities when the enemy gets on my six. Like Creaghorn I let my wingmen get on with it - just keep hitting the attack button. Seems to work OK. If I've been especially busy with work during the day then I can find a long mission very tiring and find myself not seeing the enemy 'till it's almost too late. That bit tends to get the adrenaline rushing though.
  4. SEEING enemy planes

Thank you, Olham. I was looking for your thread but couldn't find it .
  5. SEEING enemy planes

I only mentioned the "cheating" word to placate those die hard simmers who frown upon any unrealistic aid. As you say, Olham, it's a sim. I understand that some people want it as realistic as possible and that's fine.......for them. It doesn't mean that we should all fly OFF that way. Fly it how it works for you. I think that the beauty of OFF is that it can be tough or it can be easier depending on your chosen settings - it's accessible to many that way. Anyway, to get back to the problem, Javito, why not use labels and if you don't like them being so intrusive you could change the colour to one that does not stand out so much.
  6. SEEING enemy planes

It's a good point that Olham made about flak. It's a sure giveaway that something's there. The trouble is that there's not always archie to show you the way. My eyesight isn't that great for computor stuff and I use labels until they are red, then I switch them off. I don't consider it cheating because, as has been said, in real life it would be easier to spot them. I don't use labels to chase after what might be enemy craft. Only if I can see them do I possibly challenge or run for ground. That way I keep it as realistic as I can.
  7. I'm remarkably calm when flying in OFF. I'm like the above when driving though .
  8. BEAUTIFUL scenes from Hell's Angels

Excellent. I bought the DVD for the flying scenes. When I watch the bits that are filmed from behind the pilot, I can't stop myself turning my head to check my six. Damn TrackIr has me brainwashed now. The scenes have to be the best out there. Thanks for posting and reminding me
  9. I remember watching that. Great choice .
  10. Do you use a dedicated simpit?

Pizza boxes?.......you were lucky. I dream of having Pizza boxes. My simpit is in a septic tank. Sorry, couldn't resist. Those that are fans of Monty Python will get the joke. Seriously, though. I work from home and I have to use my desk for Simming etc. That means I have to get the joystick and TrackIr out whenever I play - can't have them on my desk when my clients see me.
  11. This is Stemnaya Road in Bolivia, Nicknamed "Road of Death". Give me a plane any day .
  12. How often do you......

As I started this thread I should say how often I get to fly. I try to fly at least one mission a day and, although I have flown 4 in a row once, I now fly no more than 2. The 4 in a row was with easy settings but now it's a strain to fly that many on hard settings. I'm guessing that we'll see a lot of variation.
  13. Reticent WIngmen

I think that's Olham and his sugar in the tank trick, again .
  14. The last picture reminded me of my bus journey to Srinigar in Kashmir. There'd been a storm the night before and in places half the road had been washed away and passing anything was a real nightmare with a 1000ft drop to wake you up.
  15. No. 1 OFF Screenie

Thanks go to Olham for the skin. He made it so his Albatros could see me more clearly.
  16. No. 1 OFF Screenie

I usually delete mine after a while but of those that I've still got, I think this is the best.
  17. OT Favourite TV Theme tune

I've loved Maggie Bell ever since I saw her in Stone The Crows. Theme to "Taggart" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDpyXLuCUdY
  18. Eric Burdon - fantastic voice. Good band, good choice .
  19. Well, there's a first. Viewing Sade is blocked in UK. That's a shame because she provides quite a nice view.
  20. 87 Euros isn't a bad price either
  21. Well, if we're not sticking to "Top Hits" then my all-time greatest is Clear As The Driven Snow by the Doobie Brothers.
  22. Not me, that's for sure
  23. OT: What's In Your Night Sky?

It was the new Stealth Boomerang from Aussie land.
