Gonna have to re-purchase HITR

Get yourself an external HD for backups, UK. Well worth it in the long run. -
Update on Mike "Sandbagger" Norris
tranquillo replied to CaptSopwith's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Good news, indeed. -
That's the same day as my surgery, Tony. I hope it goes well for you. I'd like to say I'll be thinking of you but, somehow, I think it's unlikely. You probably didn't get Gladys because she'll be busy with me. Never mind, I'm sure Nurse Ratched will do a sterling job.
-
Well, I got my copy yesterday.
-
Good to see you here again, Britisheh. How about the next time you drop in you avoid going through the Mess roof
-
Good luck with that, Typhoon. I know someone who has had that surgery and it's like they've been reborn. I'll see you there. Nurse Gladys has already told me I'll be stiff afterwards :yikes:but I think there's enough of her to go round.

You've got it wrong, Flyby, I'm not having a delivery.
-
Unfortunately you're right.
-
Yes, the world must move on. The unemployment is a real bummer though. Something I only found out yesterday is that unemployed people pay higher car insurance premuims than employed people - how fair is that.
-
I used to get those but for some reason they went away without me doing anything - strange. By the way, the Official OFF forum is now over at Simhq so might be worth posting the question over there, Mike.
-
Thank you all for your best wishes and thoughts - I didn't intend to hijack the thread. I guess the operation was on my mind. I met the surgeon yesterday and his nurse "Gladys" is a real looker
-
Actually I think it's time to stop fooling myself and admit that this is major surgery with a capital M. I feel confident though. Sorry for hijacking your thread UK and thanks for your best wishes.
-
Yep, surgery. Not a big deal though - should only be in a couple of days.

If the famous Law of Sod works as normal then it will be in 2 weeks because I'm due to be a guest of the NHS at that time

Whatever the reason I'm glad it's working OK.

Advice please re returning to OFF
tranquillo replied to Fortiesboy's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I don't use an external drive but I have CFS3 on a virtual drive - no wear and tear at all. -
The uninstall/reinstall worked for me. I originally had it on a seperate hd to OFF and when I reinstalled it let it install to the default folder ie. the same as OFF and it worked fine. I've sinced moved the whole folder back to the other hd and still fine so it wasn't the location of it that was the problem. Up 'till then I'd had no problems with it. The reason I think it was the result of an update was because that was the only change since I used it last. I'm on Win 7 also. Sounds different to your problem though. I wonder if you have a software conflict somehow. Olham, TrackIR 4 hardware, TrackIR 5 software, always starts first time.
-
I had problems with my TrackIR recently, Hauksbee. What OS do you have? I had to unistall and reinstall mine and wonder if it may have been one of the Windows updates that did it.

Looking for a little guidance please chaps
tranquillo replied to Redmonkey's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hi Redmonkey. I too would recommend 56 squadron in April 1917 as a good start. Those SE5a are great, stable machines. P.S. Sorry I didn't reply sooner but I've been out flying all day. -
Drinks all round then Congratulations on your promotions chaps.

About Loyalty - über Loyalität
tranquillo replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I think both should be kept alive and well and I intend to support both. I certainly don't see myself being disloyal in any way by posting here - this forum is, after all, dedicated to OFF and there's a wealth of knowledge hidden away here. I think some members will stay here and some will go to Simhq - hopefully most members will support both as well. -
The number of people watching the OFF forum at Simhq is less than half of what it was. I shall visit both - it's like having a holiday home.
-
Pol had a tough decision to make what with the iminent release (2 weeks) of WOFF and I quite understand his stance. Simhq were great in taking us in but I feel like a visitor there at the moment and can't pull my feet up on the sofa and relax. I'll frequent both but this is my home. Good to see you, Simon. There's an order for more pigs bits coming your way soon.

I'm 5 foot 4 inches or about 1.63m - not tall but wiry.
