Just had a new engine installed, apparently the H-S 8B engines for our new S.E.5's made by the French chappies are hard to come by... a quick flight test around the local area is called for!

Agreed, at the moment I don't see a need for a mod, so many improvements! However, one does not know what the mod wizards with their black art can pull out of their hats

What he didn't say was that as soon as I did get up there, there was a bunch of Huns just waiting to perforate my new kite and bomb the hell out of the bloody drome! When I did get down, the place was still being plastered... what a carve up! After it was all over, I asked him to have a look at my new kite and could he find time to fix it a bit more... Strewth!

I need help guys. A short while ago my pc decided to bail out without informing me!!! Luckily I had managed to save all my IL2 profiles onto disk, but not my pilot skins. Lost the lot! Does anyone know anywhere I can get hold of more as I'm having no luck so far. Every site I've looked at just seems to concentrate on the aircraft side of skinning. Lost all of my US, GB, Japanese, IT pilot skins and more! Any help greatly accepted! Regards.....Dave S

Hi guys, what's happened to the IL2 skin files? At one stage we were recieving files on a regular basis, but it seems to have gone off the boil. Do we need to get around the other forums and remind all pilots and skinners that combatace is still alive and kicking?? Or maybe we are just busy trying to find skins on other sites, (cos that is what I've had to do myself). I just don't have the time or the skill to knock up my own skins unfortunately or I'd be uploading a shed load myself!!

Hi guys, got an nvidia 6600gt agp card a while back. Been using it on PF and I've no real gripes with it except for one thing. I've got the game setup on perfect and it runs a treat apart from the fact that alot of the shadows in game are white not black! Any suggestions or info would be appreciated! Regards....Dave S.

I've managed to locate the maps on the fb cd and they are easy enough to print off with 'infranview', however, the maps for pf on cd1 are in a different format and I can't find a file extension to view for printing. Any ideas anyone??

Interested to find out how many of you guys are playing Brothers in Arms? As a self confessed WWII fanatic, I have to say that I am really impressed by this game! I've played all the WWII shooters, Medal of Honour, Call of Duty etc, but I think that this one has surpassed them. (and thats saying something as I thought CoD was superb). Totaly immersed and involved, and its true, you do start to feel something for your squad members in a way that never really happened before in other games! Opinions anyone? Regards....Dave S.

Yeah Bob, I agree. In the British army we call this keeping one foot on the ground! You don't move any part of your fireteam unless it has covering fire from its mutual support. I've found with this game that similar to real life, if you take a step back sometimes and just concentrate on command and control of your fireteams, and don't get to involved yourself, you will have far more success. However, I agree with Raptor when he says it is rather scripted at times. There are some missions where success depends on your sole actions and not the fireteams you control. That said, in this kind of game you just don't get that kind of freedom and should be expected. Its still superb though, finished it last night and its left me wanting more! Can't wait for the next one, due in the autumn!! Regards....Dave S.
