  1. The new lod worked added the stars as written but I wierd quirk in the tire occured. I will show you. I have to save the time spent to correct problems is enormous.   5. I updated to the new version March 2012 SF2. I removed all files from the standalones before uninstalling. My SF2 works fine but the stand alone installs keeps placing the GroundObject and Aircraft folders with stock models. I adjusted the start and end dates\ but no change. Does anyone else get this problem or am I just the lucky one. All my WW2 stand alones are prepared according to Wrench's guide. The standalones worked before the upgrade. I did a full unistall and install of SF2 before creatinbg my WW2 standalones. Any help would be appreciated. Semper Fi
  6. I tried it both ways and found that the PTO and MTO worked as designed in you first recommendation. However, the ETO didn't want to cooperate so I handled it with your second recommendation. Long story short it works and I have my WW2 platforms and all the mods and terrains. This March 2012 update seems like more trouble than its worth. The extractor won't work as ir did before. I wish that I had backed up the Nov 2010 versions that worked fine. Why doesn't TW get with wrench and the other prophead gurus and create a WW2 expansion for at least the three major theaters??????   9. Given I have a ETO, PTO, MTO and North Africa separate installs what Start and stop years should be used for each? The generic 1939 start to 1946 end and how do we treat the SCW mod also a separate one?
  10. I hope that you get your request granted. I know having a WW2 download section in Combat Ace for SF2 would be a welcomed addition. Do we need to start a petition or vote count me in as I would like to see a WW2 section for SF2 sooner than later. One of the problems of being over sixty time is essential. Semper Fi
  11. Great I will make the adjustments. The TBM is fron the SF2 downloads. I haven't added the SF1 WW2 mods from A team yet. I also noticed that mission type was another one of the problems.

  14. First yes, thanks, I noticed that MTO was referenced to North Africa so I have a mod for MTO only. I started to go through the Nations.ini. I used the one here that was the Nations Package for WW2. I think my problem is within the Nations.ini. I want to prepare one with only the players during WW2 which should help. The downloaded version did not have start or active dates but the original ones does that those date requirement. I did try the Options.ini but no go. The problem seems to be centered on the TBM model. I wish there was a specific Nations.ini for just WW2 mods which would be extremely useful. I will keep plugging away and hope the Nations.ini file will give me the answer. Thank you for the help.
  15. Wrench - I setup my timelines for the separate WW2 installs but for each one I get a mission is complete RTB message at the start of the flight single mission menu choice. Do you have any idea why this would happen or did I miss something when revising dates. I did replace the stock Nations with the updated one that includes WW2 nations and replaced the formations with the WW2 one. Any help would be appreciated as I am puzzled.
  16. I read the paper Wrench had posted on how to create a mod for WWII. I have a couple of questions. 1. Does it matter if you just use the SF2 merged installtion or should you tailor each mod with using SF2 Europe and Israel for the desert or just use SF2? I understand that you need to add the exapnsion packs so you get the appropriate aircraft. 2. Where do you find Objects, Terrains, etc? I know that some of these exist here at Combat Ace. Also the A team Skunkworks has a large assortment of WWII objects but most of them is for SF1 except the Gen 2 models. My operating system is Win 7 64 with a 2.89 Quad Core 8 GB of memory and a Nvidia GE 570 video, SB Titanium Gamer sound card. I have suffiecient resources to run just about anything. Oh, I did load SFG to work as Win XP as Adminstrator but will it work for the mods? I appreciate any assistance as I really love WWII simulations and would love to incorporate it into my game play.   19. I have been searching my mod folder like crazy looking to find where to put tracertexture.tga files from the AVHistory WW2 Gun file. Can anybody tell me where I am to place the tracer tga files? Thank you

    Thank you for all your help Raven is correct just the objects folder. I did find that the WW2 AVHistory Gun Files and the spitfire models had some issues. First the gundata files say FALSE for Light Source when it should be TRUE, Second the add Light block was not checked on a number of the machine gums. The Spitfire data files for internal guns had to be changed from Secondary guns to Primary. I now need to figure out why the effects is shown in just blocks of color no flashes like the 20mm hispano cannon. I think I need the LMGFireEffects file but not sure. One of the loves of this game to investigating problems, discussing it with friends and then just do it your way...........just kidding.     objects folder in general or one of the sub folders? The reason I asked is that with the tracer.tgs in objects no change to ndicki spitfires.
  23. SF2 A-6E VA-85 Black Falcons for Third Wire A-6 Intruder

    I am getting a weird reaction when you drop tanks a black tank takes it place. If you place a bomb on one of the racks a drop tank in black shows up as well. I love the A6 as it was one of two aircraft I plane captained in the Marine Corps VMA (AW) 242.
  24. Hi love the bird was a plane captain in the Corps in 1974. My model is showing black fuel tanks even after I eject them.
