Issues Creating a New Mod Folder

I am trying to install the Operation Darius mod on with the game patched to July 2012. I renamed the base .exe and .ini file and it created the new mod folder. However, when I start up the game from the new exe file, it appears that it is still reading from the default mod folder and not the new one. One odd thing is that it is overwriting the edited options.ini file in the new install. Any solutions for this issue? -

I found the problem with the install. At the bottom of the options.ini, the mod directory was still set to strikefighters2 instead of the new folder. -

I copied and pasted the base files and renamed them when they were both selected. So in the install folder in program files there are .exe and .ini for Operation Darius, SF2:E, and SF2. I copied and pasted the SF2 files to create the operation Darius ones. Do I need to edit the new Operation Darius .ini file or use the ones from SF2:E? -
Terrain Mapping Utility

A while back, I found an old utility for SF1 that took the height map of a terrain and created a bmp map file. I lost the program and I can't find it again. Several terrains released have used this, if I remember correctly one of them is the Cuba terrain. I was wondering if anyone knows where to find this utility again. It's the SFMap utility, but where can I get it? -

I have a question about the ECM pods in-game. Do they actually doing? They never seem to have any effect on the ability of SAMs to lock on or track. Do they only work against certain systems? Lastly, is there a general guide to the use of the various models in Vietnam?

In the *******DATA.ini file, there is an option you can add to have the generator run offensives before the arrival of that squadron. I don't remember the exact option, but there is one. That is just the campaign generator. As far as I know, there is no way to get around this. But, that scenario would not be entirely impossible in the real world. -

Coverting SF1 - Mission & Campaigns for SF2

What you are asking would take more work than just editing an ini file. It would be easier to simply recreate a single mission instead of converting it. The campaigns would be slightly easier, but you would still have to edit weapons and squadrons to make it work properly. -
North Cape Campaign

I am beginning work on a campaign for Baltika's North Cape terrain. It will be set in 1976, Sweden and Finland against the Soviet Union. Moscow has decided to begin an aggressive annexation of Finland. Sweden reacts by sending Saab 35s to Finland and begins the defense of Finland. I have found some information on Swedish units and airbases, but not a whole lot. If anyone would like to help me find this information, and information on Soviet units there, it would be much appreciated. -

That is the one bummer about the North Cape terrain. It ends just about 100 miles too far north! Thanks for the information. I'm going to start on my final plan for the campaign in the next couple of days or so. -

Yes, this would be for SF1. Any information on Swedish units in 1976 would be helpful. I have SF2, but I don't play it because I'm used to 60 fps in SF1, which I don't get in SF2 -

Has anyone made void skins for SF2? (White skins with just panel lines and mechanical bits.) They come with Il 2 Sturmovik and using a remove white filter, you could quickly make a basic skin. -

My SF2 A-4 bombing technique: Set ripple to max quantity at 100 ms, climb to 5000 ft. At 1.1 miles to target push over, wait till warehouse fills reticule, release, pull out. -
