  1. Only a thought- there is an issue with using blip switch or leaning too much as flight leader. You are loosing the command over your flight in that case, the fellow pilots are considering you as damaged, another comrade takes over and your flight is often aborting its mission.

Are you using the blip switch or manual mixture and are you leading? I have this issue and have to avoid to use the blip switch or lean too much... Could lead to your described behaviour...

  2. Thank you Andy, looking forward to try the new version! Should add to the realism to have other aircraft's engine and MG audible only when these aircrafts are near to the own position!

Shouldn't be to hard to incorporate the new version into OFFworld, it should be done by deleting the old version in the mods folder, then insert the new one, should have the same name as the old version (i.e. no version number), if Im not mistaken... Will try it out when at home again.

  3. We're all still around, I'm checking in almost daily, never posted much, but always enjoyed hanging around here, reading your posts, your well written after action reports aswell, Captain. I still enjoy OFF, in fact am more flying than earlier, because I don't have to even think of mod handling, since OFFice took over all this work, thanks to Lothar. Presently flying 94th Campaign, Octobre 1918, active Verdun region, during the battle of Mihiel-Argonne, quit busy here... airwar last 100 days (anybody wants to join before this OFFworld campaign comes to an end?).

It's still a good place to be, wonderful community, and it will much more populated when WOFF nears its release state I am sure. Would love to see again screenshots or videos, can't understand why this should be tension rising in bad way...

  4. Hej CS, I don't know exactely which version you played, but the last versions made flying OFF much more immersive and enjoyable, especially when you like to use the great mods made by community members. You just load the whole package, which includes almost any mod, install it and OFFice does the whole mod handling, with a lot of customisation of your liking. It is especially useful when using different mods for different time frames during the campaign. You do not have to worry about which mod to activate at which time, OFFice does this for you, you just have to concentrate on flying, in particular useful when having not to much spare time for flying...

BUT, the biggest improvement imho is the ability to join the same squadron with fellow human OFF pilots (OFFworld). You observe their progress, their claims, kills, injuries, their ups and downs in short. A way to interactively encounter them is provided, with a simple chat option.

It could be more pilots of this community to make use of this option, anyhow it is much more lifelike to join a squadron with some real people, real fun! Since then I started to collect some stick hours again!

Would be great if you would join us!

  5. Downloaded your Dr1 FM mod and gave it a few tries: I´m very impressed and it adds some tactical aspects indeed. I don´t know a WW1 flight sim which models the flat spin fo the Fokker triplane. Well done, Herr Prop-Wasche!

Since now I haven´t seen an AI-Dr1 pilot taking benefit of the new capacilities of his plane, though...

Anyhow it is much more fun to pilot the triplane! Thank you!

  6. Hej Lothar, hej to all!

Thank you very much for your work to bring your OFFbase program to life! I have one problem though, when selecting "Duty room" from the Squadron HQ menu nothing happens-I expect that the OFF manager should start automatically, is that right? Any idea? To run your programs I had to enable Windows script host, but it starts now without problems...

  7. Hej to all,

after a reinstall and a lot of activating and deactivating of the above mentioned mods ( and lots of intentional crashing) it seems to be able for me to use all of them now (Sound tweak II, Creaghorns home brew, tracer and affect modifications). The only problem seems to be the 2.3 version of Herr Prop-Wasches Damage model. Version 2.1 works fine, so maybe it has to do with the testing of your mod with pilot never dies activated, Herr Prop-Wasche? Seems to corrupt something in the aircraft folder, because the strange behaviour persists with the mod deactivated. I found a workaround to avoid a complete reinstall: Simple deactivate the mod, delete the aircraft folder (...OBDSoftware\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields\aircraft...) then copy and paste this folder from an uncorrupted backup version if you have one, then install the 2.1 version if you like to. Works for me. Happy to be able to use your wonderful mods again, thank you!

    Hope this helps.

  8. Hej to all,

have the same problem as you guys, running HiTR with the same mods as you do. Pilot never dies. Even after deactivating all mods the problem still persists...

Seems to be that I have to reinstall and activate one mod after the other to figure out which one or which combination is causing troubles. It´s a pitty, because they are all good!

    I´ll report again...
