J-15s landing on new Chinese Aircraft Carrier
thodouras95 replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
That will happen too, I'm pretty sure.Maybe it'll be in 15-20 years from now, but it will happen sometime in the near future. -
Have him swim in battery acid.

The day that wasps will be able to communicate with us humans will be the day that Israelis and Palestinians will live in peace. Both sound equally impossible to me.

Python 5 capable?
thodouras95 replied to dtmdragon's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I think pretty much ever IDF/AF fighter (all F-15s, all F-16s).Could be wrong tho. -
You mean, like... CoD 4 isn't the only good one in the series?

We all (or at least most of us) know about the USN's/USAF's Red Eagles, the MiGs that slipped into the western world and formed a large part of today's fighter combat and design aspects. But I just happened to find some images of ex-South Vietnamese F-5Es that were passed into Soviet (or Warsaw Pact/Soviet supporting, same thing) hands and evaluated in a similar way as the American MiGs.This made me wonder, for there have been several countries that could benefit from delivering their aircraft to the Soviet Union, plus defectors weren't uncommon back in these days.I just wonder, did any other western aircraft make it into the land of the Reds?

just watched another one today.Scary stuff.

aaaaand the media will turn ball-busting mode on and make Israel look like the bad guy, possibly affecting Israel's relations with everyone.

Soviet Constant X/Have X aircraft?
thodouras95 replied to thodouras95's topic in Military and General Aviation
Read the book too, the one with the Iranian defector, if my memory is correct, allegedly landed to Iraq, pilot granted asylum in the west, RIO=POW to Iraq, aircraft flown to Saudi Arabia, classified components + Iranian parts removed (latter ones for FTD studies), remains destroyed at a bombing range. But other than that, I really don't see why the Iranians wouldn't give the Soviets a taste of the Tomcat. After all, they had nothing to lose from that. Maybe there is more info, Gepard can give us the link from where he found the pics. -
Indeed, good luck to you guys.s**t's very close to hitting the fan over there.

Soviet Constant X/Have X aircraft?
thodouras95 replied to thodouras95's topic in Military and General Aviation
Well well, never expected to see that kind of picture until today! The F-4s (2nd being most likely a D, from what I can see) can be from various sources, but the Mirage should be Israeli.Only thing that looks weird is the red star on the vertical stabilizer, a little too off.Btw, which site are these from? -

Quite possible, but I find it rather weird that no pictures have been publicised. Now this I want to see! -
Viper Control Surface "Flutter"
thodouras95 replied to Shotgun 27's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
As far as I can remember, it used to happen to me as well, possibly on even more aicraft. But I never really cared, and interpreted it as physical forces pushing the surfaces :P -

Reqesting for some Fighters
thodouras95 replied to morteza1374's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I've searched for SF2 Foxbats before, and there's nothing around, the only -25s you'll find are for SF1.I think the same goes for the rest of the aircraft you mentioned.BUT, although I haven't tried this before, you can give this a shot: http://combatace.com/topic/44026-converting-older-planes-to-work-in-sf2-a-basic-guide-by-migbuster/ it's a tutorial to convert SF1 birds to SF2.Maybe you'll make it. Good luck ;) -
Speaking of MW2, I think that the F-15C (air superiority variants with bombs!!!) belonged to the USN.I may be incorrect, but I think this was the case.

. (what does this mean, I'm sorry but I don't know).

Building Iran-Israel terrain
thodouras95 replied to morteza1374's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Your idea is simply amazing.I wish I could do it (although it wouldn't really be fun, especially with Tomcats, since chaff are the most powerful countermeasure in this game, and can defeat anything, including AIM-54s) :( -
Having problem with TMF F-14 superpack radar
thodouras95 replied to Eagle114th's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Your RWR is not working either :D Anyway, as said above, all you need to do is merge your game with SF2NA (aka install NA into your game's main folder), and you should be just fine. Good luck. -
For a moment I thought that the Hind was actually flying on one rotor O.o
