Snailman, how do you know it was TOW?

Would like to know where did they got their Iglas from?
-
I just wonder where did they get Iglas from?
Did not realize this topic already exists in military and general aviation...

Extrange. Send me a copy of the campaign files in a PM.
I can't. Even when zipped, campaign file is too big for PM to send it (4MB is the limit). Perhaps on your e-mail...

In which carriers are you having troubles?
It happens with USS Saratoga and USS Coral Sea. Instead on Saratoga I get placed inside USS South Carolina, and instead on Coral Sea I get placed inside USS California upon loading, and thus exploding.
Also, what SF2 title .exe shoud I use to create the copy for the mod file for this campaign? Or it doesn't matter at all?

Installation: SF2 full merged
Path: D:\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 El Dorado
Problem: Airplanes expolding inside carriers upon loading the mission in campaign
Campaign working: Yes
Air unit of the campaign: All of them
Plane used by the air unit: All of them
Any clue?. I guess something with carrier's ini. but not sure exactly what...

Merry Christmass and all the best wishes to you all!

doesn't sound good at all and I hope it's a hoax..
No need to be worried. Unless somebody wants to bomb Russian in Syria...

I did't say that the story is true. I just mentioned it cause it is interesting. At the end of the day, modern anti-aircraft and anti radiation missiles have the ability to "home on jam", so there is no impenetrable jammin device...

System that is apparentely used to jam AWACS and even radio electronic devices of low orbiting satelites is now deployed in Latakia region of Syria.

It was also used (or it's smaler equivalent) to jam the radars of USS Donald Cook in the Black Sea last year even according to Pentagon sources:
“The US destroyer USS Donald Cook, equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles entered the neutral waters of the Black Sea on April 10, 2014. The purpose was a demonstration of force and intimidation in connection with the position of Russia in Ukraine and Crimea. The appearance of American warships in these waters is in contradiction of the Montreux Convention about the nature and duration of stay in the Black Sea by the military ships of countries not washed by this sea. In response, Russia sent an unarmed bomber Su- 24 to fly around the U.S. destroyer. However, experts say that this plane was equipped with the latest Russian electronic warfare complex. According to this version, Aegis spotted from afar the approaching aircraft, and sounded alarm. Everything went normally, and the American radars calculated the speed of the approaching target. But suddenly all the screens went blank. Aegis was not working any more, and the rockets could not get target information. Meanwhile, Su-24 flew over the deck of the destroyer, did battle turn and simulated a missile attack on the target. Then it turned and repeated the maneuver. And did so 12 times.”

Zagreb Pleso airport serves both as a civilian airport and military airstrip, and there is an airforce airbase within the complex. Were you in Croatia proper or just in transit?

This token bombardment is not by chance. Let's be honest, State Department loves ISIS destroying pro Iranian Syria and Iraq. It's doing their work for them...

Thanks. You are all correct. Also I should look up the cruising speed data for certain fighter and compare it with its max speed in level flight. I'll do that to. That will obviously not give me the percentage of throttle data but will give a somewhat better picture

What was it, approximately, for piston fighter? For example at 50% or at 3/4...

It's really amusing to read your stories. Keep them coming.
Btw, CUP is great. I've installed it yesterday, had some trouble with getting the encanched water mod to work, but now that it's done I'm dogfighting over Guadalcanal in underpowered and sluggish Wildcat after many years...

Saudis also hate Syrian gvmnt and Iranian gvmnt. because they are populistic and revolutionary, Baath party in particular. Such parties are inherently opposed to monarchies and royal houses which Saudi royal house is, and such ideas are a threat to them. Why do you think Saudis are begging USA to bomb Iran, they have even said that they would allow Israeli jets to fly over their teritory if they decide to strike Teheran...
Chopper downed over Syria?

If the fin ring struck the tail, where did the pretty large explosion came from. There is no fuel in the tail. It was a rather strong explosion. Maybe from a large anti aircraft shell (57mm)...
