Where is nations.ini?
hrc posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
As the topic says, where is nations.ini located in SF2 main install? I believe it is in flight folder but don't know in which .cat file? -
What is you preferred maneuver when there is a bandit right behind you on your tail and you have to react immediately? I always make a hard left or right turn (it doesn't matter with AI, but with human opponent it's better to make right turn, given that opponent is right handed), and if bandit has a better turning rate than me I start making barrel rolls using rudder, and after few barrel rolls I end up doing a split S. Maybe not the best tactic, since there are aggressive tactics that place you quickly in position to shoot at bandit, like tactics involving bandit overshooting, but they are also very risky.

If the fin ring struck the tail, where did the pretty large explosion came from. There is no fuel in the tail. It was a rather strong explosion. Maybe from a large anti aircraft shell (57mm)... RIP

I can't. Even when zipped, campaign file is too big for PM to send it (4MB is the limit). Perhaps on your e-mail... -
Operation el Dorado Canyon and Gulf of Sidra Incidents
hrc replied to Peugeot205's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
It happens with USS Saratoga and USS Coral Sea. Instead on Saratoga I get placed inside USS South Carolina, and instead on Coral Sea I get placed inside USS California upon loading, and thus exploding. Also, what SF2 title .exe shoud I use to create the copy for the mod file for this campaign? Or it doesn't matter at all? -

System that is apparentely used to jam AWACS and even radio electronic devices of low orbiting satelites is now deployed in Latakia region of Syria. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krasukha_EW_System http://gadgtecs.com/2015/10/09/spy-planes-signal-jammers-high-tech-weapons-syria/ It was also used (or it's smaler equivalent) to jam the radars of USS Donald Cook in the Black Sea last year even according to Pentagon sources: “The US destroyer USS Donald Cook, equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles entered the neutral waters of the Black Sea on April 10, 2014. The purpose was a demonstration of force and intimidation in connection with the position of Russia in Ukraine and Crimea. The appearance of American warships in these waters is in contradiction of the Montreux Convention about the nature and duration of stay in the Black Sea by the military ships of countries not washed by this sea. In response, Russia sent an unarmed bomber Su- 24 to fly around the U.S. destroyer. However, experts say that this plane was equipped with the latest Russian electronic warfare complex. According to this version, Aegis spotted from afar the approaching aircraft, and sounded alarm. Everything went normally, and the American radars calculated the speed of the approaching target. But suddenly all the screens went blank. Aegis was not working any more, and the rockets could not get target information. Meanwhile, Su-24 flew over the deck of the destroyer, did battle turn and simulated a missile attack on the target. Then it turned and repeated the maneuver. And did so 12 times.”

No need to be worried. Unless somebody wants to bomb Russian in Syria...
-
I did't say that the story is true. I just mentioned it cause it is interesting. At the end of the day, modern anti-aircraft and anti radiation missiles have the ability to "home on jam", so there is no impenetrable jammin device...

Mig21's operating from Zagreb's international airport?

Zagreb Pleso airport serves both as a civilian airport and military airstrip, and there is an airforce airbase within the complex. Were you in Croatia proper or just in transit? -
This token bombardment is not by chance. Let's be honest, State Department loves ISIS destroying pro Iranian Syria and Iraq. It's doing their work for them...

What was it, approximately, for piston fighter? For example at 50% or at 3/4...

Thanks. You are all correct. Also I should look up the cruising speed data for certain fighter and compare it with its max speed in level flight. I'll do that to. That will obviously not give me the percentage of throttle data but will give a somewhat better picture
