Nice AAR 33Lima; had fun reading it.

You and me both stary. Ive played it some but Im stuck on the peace talks battle in the campaign. Almost won it last night I think. At least lasted longer than before. But still got shellacked. If the price goes down for airland, Ill pick that one up. Yeah, I kinda wonder how the ship thing will work. I expect they will be serious anti air and land attack. Was cool to see the river crossing. That will throw some new twists into tactics.

Found this on a board gaming website called http://www.imaginative-strategist.layfigures.com/ "And if I might for a moment trumpet! How much better is this amiable miniature than the Real Thing! Here is a homeopathic remedy for the imaginative strategist. Here is the premeditation, the thrill, the strain of accumulating victory or disaster -- and no smashed nor sanguinary bodies, no shattered fine buildings nor devastated country sides, no petty cruelties, none of that awful universal boredom and embitterment, that tiresome delay or stoppage or embarrassment of every gracious, bold, sweet, and charming thing, that we who are old enough to remember a real modern war know to be the reality of belligerence. This world is for ample living; we want security and freedom; all of us in every country, except a few dull-witted, energetic bores, want to see the manhood of the world at something better than apeing the little lead toys our children buy in boxes. We want fine things made for mankind -- splendid cities, open ways, more knowledge and power, and more and more and more, -- and so I offer my game, for a particular as well as a general end; and let us put this prancing monarch and that silly scaremonger, and these excitable 'patriots,' and those adventurers, and all the practitioners of Welt Politik, into one vast Temple of War, with cork carpets everywhere, and plenty of little trees and little houses to knock down, and cities and fortresses, and unlimited soldiers -- tons, cellars-full, -- and let them lead their own lives there away from us ... Great War is at present, I am convinced, not only the most expensive game in the universe, but it is a game out of all proportion. Not only are the masses of men and material and suffering and inconvenience too monstrously big for reason, but -- the available heads we have for it, are too small. That, I think, is the most pacific realization conceivable, and Little War brings you to it as nothing else but Great War can do." H.G. Wells, Little Wars, 1913 Couldn't agree more readily, especially about the heads being to small part. Lets play a boardgame or a sim. PS. Sorry, Its not a poem...made ya look!

A Story for the Season, (as it has become tradition)

Merry Christmas my friends!

Know what you mean. We move to Missoula to have a greater opportunity for work than the small town we came from. I do manage to land a great job at the University of Montana as a custodian. The benefits are outstanding but the pay is only $11 an hour. The wife is still looking after 6 months. She has over 60 applications and resumes out and only a few interviews. We are definitely eating into the savings right now. Kinda scary. May have to do some SERIOUS cutbacks.

Ive not seen this before. Absolutely hilarious. Thanks for the morning laugh.

Absolutely amazing. This guy took lying to a whole new level. And like the commentator said, he was STILL boring...LOL! Well, guess he's really gonna be bored in jail. Wonder what tales he'll come up with in the pokey?

CombatACE Spotlight: Interview with Wargaming... Developer of World of War Planes
pcpilot replied to Skyviper's topic in Interviews
Quote..."and planes don’t stand a chance against heavily-armored military vessels." Read your military history again, lol. Must have something to do with game mechanics, not real life. That being said, wargamer does seem to have done an outstanding job bringing the present ingame tanks and warplanes to life. The ground vehicle and flight physics have been steadily improving. Ive really enjoyed playing world of tanks. Was an beta tester for it. Now have 18 different tanks, lol. Ive got everything from light tanks to heavies. The tactics and employment of each type is distinctly different. I then joined world of warplanes as an alpha tester and Ive had the pleasure of watching it steadily improve quite quickly. Would love to see them implement cockpits and trackIR. But until then, it is a fun arcade game. Cheating seems to be pretty much non-existant and most players seem to get along pretty good so multiplayer is fun. -
