  3. Is an i5 540/HD5650 enough?

I have a desktop system with the 5650 and 1gb DDR. It works great on SF2, CODworld at War, and Unreal Tournament 3.I have everything maxed. I also have 4 gbg RAM which helps too.
  4. Yeah Russo, your bird still is outstanding. I still fly it too.
  5. Medfly, I was hoping someone had that data for you. Since no one has replied yet, I would suggest looking up the gun on wikipedia. I saw there the A-19 and the tank version, the D-25. They listed the specs for the guns there too. Then using the gun editor available from thirdwire, add the gun to your weapons list. First check out a few of the other guns listed in the gun editor and see what info they have listed; youll use some of that for your new gun. If I had the time Id do it for you but have to go to work soon. If you are successful, post the data for others too. Good luck...

  7. Remembering The Fallen

Army Spc. Ramon C. Ojeda -Bronze Star -Purple Heart When his convoy was attacked, he stayed at his MG position in his vehicle and directed fire at the enemy allowing other members of his convoy who had been cutoff by the enemy attack to fall back and re-group. Once the members were re-united, he continued his fire until felled by enemy return fire. Ojeda, a member of the Army's 84th Engineer Battalion, 25th Infantry Division, Died on May 1, 2004 when his convoy was attacked in Al Amarah in southeast Iraq, according to the Department of Defense. "He was a good boy … my only boy … he never gave anyone any trouble … and he loved to make people laugh," said his father Joaquin Ojeda on Tuesday. Ojeda, who lives in Santa Ysabel, said he knows his son "died for the cause that he thought was correct." Ojeda joined the Army at 17, his father said, and was serving his second tour of duty. "He believed in what he was doing," the senior Ojeda said during a telephone interview. "He wanted everyone to have the freedom we have." Ojeda leaves behind a wife and young son, Joaquin Ojeda said. The soldier's wife, Lesliee Ojeda, is also in the Army and is serving in Iraq, he said. She will accompany his body on a flight home, Ojeda said. No services have been arranged yet, he said. He has two older sisters who also grew up in Ramona, their father said. School officials said the soldier was a quiet, hardworking member of the class of 1999 at Ramona and Montecito high schools in Ramona. "He was a real nice young man, funny, not one of the kids who stood out, just a real good kid that worked hard at whatever he did," said Ramona High School history teacher and wrestling coach Steven Koch, who coached Ojeda for three years. "One of the things I always tell my students is the people who are most heroic are ordinary people who wind up doing extraordinary things," Koch said. "He was one of those heroes." Fallen Heroes memorial message... "To the Ojeda family, My deepest and sincerest condolences. I will always remeber Ramon as I taught in his sabbath school class at church. He was quiet but was quick to smile or laugh. When he asked a question, it was always a good one I had to think about, lol. I'll never forget the day him and some freinds walked up to me and asked me about military service. I told them it was good for a young man to experiance and get a chance to see the world and meet new folks. All I can think of since his loss is those words I said. I comfort myself because I know he was proud of his militry service and I know he did a good job and it was what he wanted to do. I wish I coulda stayed for his funeral but I stopped by to see his casket at the service. I said a prayer for him and his family, then I gave him my best salute. I will always remember Ramon and will always be proud of him. On Jesus return, we will all be re-united again...till then little bro'." Jeff Gerald

  15. Not sure whats going on here. I must have changed something but cant figure out what it is. Ive added a number of planes to my Korean War install. I can select them if I want to fly them and they fly just fine. However, many of them dont showup as opposing forces. Say I fly a P-51 on the allied side, all I see are Mig-15s, they are the only one that seems to show for the N. Koreans. There are no La-11's, or N. Korean IL2's, or La-15s, etc. Ive tried adding the user list to the older planes but no luck. Is there something I can do with the korean terrain perhaps? I also noticed planes arent showing up at the NK bases on the ground. Any suggestions?
  16. Hiya Wrench. No pal, you didnt sound short to me. It sounded like I got a lot of questions to answer though...lol. I remember a while back you posting a fix for terrains and the dates they can be used. I added this in the Korea.ini... [AllowedDates] StartDate=8/2/1949 EndDate=4/30/1959 I also added this line under [TERRAIN] LimitedNations=TRUE The limited nations part I added in this file...korea_nations.ini...and I added... [Theater] TheaterName=Korea Location001=ROK Location002=DPRK [Theater] TheaterName=Korea Location001=ROK Location002=DPRK [LimitedNationList] FriendlyNation001=Taiwan FriendlyNation002=USN FriendlyNation003=USAF FriendlyNation004=USMC FriendlyNation005=RAF FriendlyNation006=RoyalNavy FriendlyNation007=Greece FriendlyNation008=Mercenary FriendlyNation009=Canada FriendlyNation010=Turkey FriendlyNation011=Japan FriendlyNation012=SKorea FriendlyNation013=Austrailia EnemyNation001=NKorea EnemyNation002=Soviet EnemyNation003=China Thats all thats in that .ini. I have also added user list for a number of the aircraft as part of my effort to update them to be useable in SF2. Speaking of which, my install I beleive is simply SF2I plus the propjob expansion pack for SF2I. The funny thing is, everything WAS working fine, I had tons of planes of all makes making my Korean war experiance a "simulating" hell of a lot of fun. Then at some point I added a plane or made an adjustment and BLAMO! things changed. Now I cant figure out what I did. Im fearful I may have to start from scratch unless someone can figure out whats wrong... See, now my lower lip is starting to quiver...
  17. Wrench, I'll get back to you in a day or two. Im doing 12 hours shifts right now and only have a few minutes left before I pass out from exhaustion.

  21. A new toy for 3D modeling fans out there

THAT is incredibal. Before, it was working with geometric shapes to form an object. Now artist can DRAW an object!!! Just incredible!
  22. Hiya Wrench. I was wondering if you could assist me with a problem with your F4U-4B mod. I did a new install of SF2I along with the new expansion pack. I am making a Korean install with this. I figured since the expansion pack features props now, maybe some of the older prop planes may work better. (I know most of them probably need FM tweaks to bring them up to SF2 standards) However, the prop jobs Ive installed in this Korean war install seem to be working pretty good so far. The LA-11 seems to be pretty touchy in the roll but otherwise flies pretty good. As does the AN-2 and F4U. Im experimenting with the B-29 and later a few others to see how they do. In the meantime, in setting up the F4U for the game, I come across what appear to be some missing textures. Mostly switches, but also the prop hub and tail cone (?) on the end of the fuselage. Any ideas where these may have gone? Also, cant seem to make legs show up no matter where I have put them. Tried putting pilot legs in the skin folder, cockpit folder, and in the F4U folder itself to no avail. Other than that, Ive got the pilot and weps to show up, set up the folder structure for SF2, and tweaked the underwing pylons weapon loads location as I had bombs hanging out in mid-air when I first installed the plane. Which brings me to my second question...mind if I re-upload your F4U-4B mod as setup for SF2 if we can find the missing textures?
  23. 70 Years ago this week...

I always appreciated this story. Between the dunkirk salvation of the army and the defeat of the luftwaffe during the battle of Britain, enigma, Bomber command, and the defeat of Rommel in Africa, the battle of the Atlantic, and not to mention dozens of other battles during the war, Englands' contribution to the war was truely awesome and inspiring. Quiet dignity meets backbone in a special way in that good country...
  24. Yeah, I was wondering about that terrain in the 1st screenie of yours...looks cool. The skins look excellent! And let me see if I get this right...an F4U-4N night fighter varient? Is this SF2 your flying them in?
