  1. FIFA World Cup

Man, that was awful. I'd love to feel a sense of injustice and be able to say "We should have won", but let's face it. We were dreadful for all but 15 minutes of it. In fact, we were dreadful for all four matches. This has been the worst showing in an international competition I've known in all my 42 years. Cappelo couldn't pick his nose never mind pick the team. Great in club management but awful when he can't use millions to build a team. Gahhh, I can't say any more. Well done Germany. You were the better team. Now go spank the Argies for us.
  2. FIFA World Cup

Morris, don't give up hope yet. Look at Switzerland/Spain and Mexico/France. And the atmosphere in their last group match will be incredible. Good point Widow. I also played for a while...on the right wing. Which is quite appropriate for a flight sim junkie
  3. FIFA World Cup

Aye, we used to have superb keepers like Banks, Clemence, Shilton and Seaman but now we don't have a clear number 1. Personally I think Manuel Neuer is an excellent keeper for Germany. I've been watching the Bundesliga for the last 2 years and have been very impressed. Spain are lucky buggers if you ask me. They have no less than 3 world class keepers. Iker Casillas, Victor Valdes and Jose Reina. Feast for them, famine for us it seems.
  4. FIFA World Cup

Slips into memory mode.... Germany 1 England 5 Michael Owen 3 goals Steven Gerrard 1 goal Emile Heskey 1 goal (All Liverpool at the time btw) German scorer not remembered by this viewer In Germany...in a qualifier...Now can we do it for the first time in the world cup since 66... Or will the German golakeeper save all the bouncing bombs....(I bet he drinks Carling Black Label)
  5. Great shots Rickity....amazing detail by the skinners
  6. FIFA World Cup

Congratulations to Germany. I agree Australia is an average team, but you still have to beat who is put before you. And you have to admit, 4-0 didn't flatter them...they were good for it. They have certainly been the class of the tournament so far. Now we will see if Italy, Brazil, Portugal and the Netherlands can step up to the challenge. But Germany impressed me. I thought they were still in transition and it would be a few more years before they would be back to being perrenial contenders again. So, all eyes on their match against Ghana, and the possibility of an England-Germany game...
  7. Thanks for the heads up Mike.
  8. Welcome back Olham

Welcome back Olham. Hope it was a pleasant holiday
  9. It's ok. He brought some red bull
  10. Great find Olham. What do you think of it so far? Scouseair
  11. Thanks British_eh. Always happy to learn more.
  12. Great screens all. Well told stories. Lovely skin WM.
  13. A Great Fight

Wonderful account Olham. It has all the immediacy and freshness as if it had been scribbled down as you sat in your tent recovering from the fight. Great screenies too.
  14. Great shots everybody. A really close call Olham. I can just see this opponent describing the scrap from his perspective back in the mess. I wonder if he claimed you for his tally? Great skin btw. And that second shot is definitely a keeper. Scouseair
  15. Aye, great shot Volo. And of a little "photographed" aircraft. Love the D7 skin Widow/OBD
  16. RIP Manfred

Here's to you MvR. I raise a glass of peach schnapps to you. You created a legend. Even my wife made an airfix kit of your Dr1 with her brother when she was young!
  17. Anyone else noticed?...about the Dev's?

Zeppelins and Gothas perhaps? Need something for those top British squadrons to do while rotating back to England. Used to be fun in the original Red Baron. Probably just as AI, or with manable gun positions. Whatever, I'm happy to wait for as long as it takes to arrive. I'm having so much fun with P3. And whatever the guys bring to P4, judging by past experience, it will be magical. Now, back to France/Belgium....
  18. No tax for me either. And it's worth it. And the expansion too. There are very few simulations with an atmosphere as good as OFF. Playing through a campaign is incredibly rewarding. Just look at the reports from the front sticky to get an idea about how people care about their pilots. You even feel sad at the death of a good/long time wingman. You won't regret it.
  19. So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

I may have only recently stopped lurking and started posting....but I've been around here observing for a fair while. Enough to know the regulars from their posts (makes me sound like a stalker!). I have enjoyed your screenshots immensely. Your stories and info are always worth reading and your contributions to the game very valuable. I feel sad at the loss to the forum. Good hunting to you sir. May you have fair weather, and the winds always blow from the east. Take care Scouseair
  20. Excellent screenshot Carrick
