Sorry I,m late replying to this. The EA6A was used only for stand-off jambing. It was to valuable and to few (only about 26 built) to risk in IronHand. The main IronHand aircraft was the A6B. It was loaded with assortment of hardware, missiles and rockets. It would fly around at low altitude, 10 to 20 thou., hoping to get shot at,so it could shoot back.
I once flew escort to 4 A-7's going after a SAM site. Straight in, jammers pointed forward set on all freq's and bandwiths. One pass and the get the H--- out of there.
